"Why did you even let them enter the Chunin Exams? They were only rookies!" Inoichi yelled, glaring at Asuma. Asuma looked away, unable to respond. Hiashi Hyuga, though he wouldn't say it out loud, was relieved that Hinata came out of the forest alive. Other clan heads who had lost their children were now looking at those who hadn't with anger.
Before the situation could worsen, Minato spoke up. "You all need to calm down. We must understand the situation and find a solution." However, before he could continue, even the usually calm father of Shikamaru, Shikaku, glared at Minato with as much hatred as possible. "Minato, you have to tell us who killed our children."
Minato looked away. There were too many Genin killed. There was no way in hell this was all caused by other Genin. It was as if a monster had done these things; there wasn't even a trace of anything found. It was truly lucky that Shikamaru's headband was found. Other than that, there was nothing.
Hiashi looked away. His nephew Neji was dead, and there was nothing he could do. Guy was weeping on the side, barely able to contain his tears. Even Kakashi was looking away, unable to meet the eyes of his friends.
Minato spoke up, "I have information for you all. It seems that Orochimaru of the Sannin has entered the village and the Forest of Death to give Sasuke Uchiha the curse mark." All the clan heads looked at Minato in utter shock.
Shikaku stood up and glared at Minato. "That damn snake is responsible, Minato. I'm telling you, he arrived here just to weaken Konoha, to promise its destruction. And what better way than to kill off the next generation of Konoha? He has given us no choice; you must get rid of him this time. There is no way in hell we will let sentimentality get in the way." Shikaku and the other council members glared at Jiraiya, daring him to say anything contrary. Jiraiya simply looked away. There was nothing he could do for his old friend Orochimaru.
"We truly believe that Orochimaru is responsible for trying to destroy the next generation of Konoha, so he will have to pay for his crimes. I have already sent out my best ANBU," Minato said.
All the council members nodded, but many were angry. They wanted revenge, and they would get it no matter what.
Meanwhile, unknown to all of them, a figure was floating above Konoha, looking down. In his hand was a small ball of energy—Destruction energy. Naruto was tossing it into the air and catching it. He thought to himself how easy it would be to end it all. All he had to do was drop it, and half of the planet would be gone. But now was not the right time. His mark was elsewhere.
Suddenly, he looked into the sky. He felt it again. There it was. He vanished at ultra speed.
Far away in space, two Otsutsuki members were floating with a fruit in their hands. One of them looked toward Earth. "We should leave soon. Our king is waiting. We must provide it as soon as possible."
The other nodded. "Of course, my lord. Let us leave—"
Before he could complete his sentence, the other was launched like a rocket into the void, shattering the tree from which the fruit was born. The remaining Otsutsuki was surprised as Naruto appeared, looking at him with interest.
"Interesting eyes you have," Naruto said, grabbing the eye socket of the fallen Otsutsuki. He held the eye in his hand. "Tell me, is this more powerful than your father's?"
Kurama responded, "To be honest, my lord, it is nothing compared to yours. And whether it is more powerful than my father's or not, it doesn't matter."
Naruto smirked. "Right answer. It doesn't matter." As Naruto closed his fist, the energy of the previous one dissipated. Kurama added, "Well, this planet is more powerful, so the fruit is even more potent."
Naruto chuckled. "Would it grant me the abilities to create things? What was the technique of your so-called father? Oh yes, the Creation of All Things, right? But tell me, would he have been able to create a planet?"
Kurama simply shook his head. "No matter how powerful his father was, he was nowhere near powerful enough for something like that."
Naruto laughed. "Just a simple circle, huh?" He slammed the other Otsutsuki, shattering him into pieces. "You tried to annoy me, didn't you? Well, be gone." The Otsutsuki vanished into purple energy.
Naruto then looked toward the other one who was floating in the air, grabbing his eye. Naruto smirked. "You want to be gone as well, don't you?"
As Naruto was about to end him, the Otsutsuki said, "No, this will not be my end," and a portal opened. He entered it just as Naruto tried to grab him, but it was too late. The portal had already vanished.
"He got away, Kurama," Naruto noted.
Kurama nodded. "It doesn't matter, my lord. He is too weak to give you a challenge."
Naruto grinned. "He did mention the king of the Otsutsuki. Maybe he would be fun in the future." Naruto grabbed the fruit and started to eat it. He felt a surge of energy rushing through his veins. His eyes closed, and when he opened them, a triangle appeared in his eyes, shifting to the symbol of the Unique Rinnegan with a shining moon.

Naruto looked down at his hands and released his energy of Destruction into his chakra stream, increasing his power. The whole planet shook before it vanished, with Naruto standing at the center, laughing.
"Well, this power... Let's try the Creation of All Things," Naruto said, slamming his hands together. The universe shined for a moment.

A month later, Menma was being personally trained by Jiraiya, Tsunade, Kakashi, and Hiruzen, along with other members who were present. The Jonin were training hard, knowing that Orochimaru of the Sannin was in the village and had killed off the next generation of Konoha. They vowed to get revenge for their generation.
Meanwhile, Orochimaru was in his lab, planning his next move.
