A New Path Unfolds

Khaos looked at his swords which oozed power and somewhat darkness with fierce looking runes carved on their blades then moved his gaze to Zorvath.

" I'm sorry you were saying" he said confused. " I was saying that I can't help you with swordsmanship, I'm not really qualified to even train anyone anymore, but I do know who can help you" he said and stretched out his palm where a scroll appeared a few seconds later and gave it to him.

" What's this?" Khaos stared at it. " Your path, go to Ironsville and show them this scroll, it should let you in and there you shall begin your journey" Zorvath explained with a mere hint of a smile.

He looked at it in disbelief, collected it and thanked the mage before starting off in the direction of Ironsville having with him only his swords along with his bow and a quiver containing twelve rounds of arrows in his arsenal.

The time dilation between the game and reality was 3:1 so a journey that took him nearly two days was only a couple hours in real time, he contemplated forcing his wings out for he was wearing down with fatigue.

...Khaos stats...

- Health: 350/350

- Mana: 150/150

- Strength: 30

- Agility: 120

- Intelligence: 100

Flight skill Locked

As he traveled through the virtual world of "Demon Apocalypse" his fatigue grew, but he pressed on, determined to level up his skills. He marveled at the market wares, including procreative potions, and eventually reached Ironsville's unmanned front gate.

"Okay, that's not weird at all," he muttered, eyeing the gates suspiciously as they swung open.

Guards appeared, their spears poised at his neck. "Drop your weapons and identify yourself, intruder!"

Khaos raised his hands, and his dual blades materialized, clattering to the ground. "Whoa, easy there! No need to get pointy."

The guards' eyes widened, and their leader growled, "Everything!"

Khaos dropped his bow and quiver, his heart pounding. "Okay, okay! No need to get greedy."

The guard demanded, "State your business here, Fallen Angel."

Khaos grinned, "I'm Khaos, sent by Master Zorvath to learn here. And maybe get a few sword-fighting tips."

The guard's gaze narrowed, "I don't believe you."

Khaos offered the scroll, and the guard's expression changed from skepticism to curiosity. "Hmm, Zorvath's seal. You might be telling the truth."

With a nod, the guard relaxed his stance, "Welcome, Khaos. Follow me."

As Khaos trailed behind the guard, he asked, "So, what can I expect here?"

The guard replied, "You'll find out soon enough. Ironsville Academy isn't for the faint of heart."

The guard led Khaos through the doors, his expression unyielding. "Join the queue," he grunted, gesturing to a line of people waiting patiently.

Khaos obeyed, taking his place at the end of the line. As he waited, he observed the others around him, all of whom seemed to be fallen angels like himself. Some chatted quietly, while others gazed around with a mix of curiosity and apprehension.

Finally, it was his turn. A stern-looking elf beckoned him forward, and Khaos approached a large wooden desk.

"Name?" the elf asked brusquely.

"Khaos," he replied.

The elf scribbled something on a parchment. "Next!"

Khaos moved forward, entering a grand chamber with three figures seated behind a long table. A mage, a warlock, and an elf regarded him with piercing gazes.

"Khaos, fallen angel," the mage began, "we have reviewed your file. Your potential is impressive, but your... Avatar poses limitations."

Khaos's eyes narrowed. " I was informed of its limitations, Lords"

" Yet you picked it any way" the elf said, it was a statement rather than a question but khaos nodded and the judges exchanged glances

Khaos took the cup, feeling a mix of trepidation and determination. He drank the potion in one swift motion.

At first, there was a bitter taste, followed by a sudden surge of energy coursing through his veins. Khaos felt his senses heighten, and his mind expand, as if the very fabric of reality was unfolding before him. Their gazes conveyed a silent message to one another. You may proceed to the hall and interact with other player, Good luck Hunter" one of them said eventually and a door leading to the hall opened.
