Nethmus' Note: The chapter title was made up by the first three deities, not me.

"Are you ready, child?"
In a dark room illuminated by a blue glow, three people could be seen. The first figure was an old man who looked to be seventy years old. He had a six centimeter long well kept beard, a slightly wrinkled face and green eyes that radiated with kindness. His height was five feet, eleven inches. His hair was unseen for it was covered with a white kite shaped hat that was decorated with golden lines.
He had an indiscernible powerful aura around him. For he was, after all, one of the most powerful people in the world, the top of mortal power, [Rank 8].¹ His name; Pope Galvin. He was the head of the church of light.
The second person in the room, was a middle aged man donned in purple regal wear and a golden crown stubbed with precious stones. He had shoulder length black hair and a fit build of six feet four inches. He was also a [RANK 8].
He was the Emperor of The Primean Empire; Emperor Eereon Lant.
The third person was surprisingly a teenager who looked to be either fourteen or fifteen. He was probably the most handsome person you've ever seen-
-
Ramor: Cliché right? But he was the chosen one, he can't be ugly or mediocre now can he? After all, bro was designed by the TG himself.
-
With short white hair that had hints of blue at the edges, lean body but with refined muscles, he looked like a 'Trap' (He was too B-E-A-Utiful, anime fans and people who've watched that ripoff of TG motion picture 'Bruce Almighty' understand).
He wore a black shirt and and black leather pants. The most fascinating part of his body was the back of his left palm, which had a black circular tattoo with edgy designs. This is our MC, his name... Lumin.
-
"Don't forget what we taught you through these years we have been together." Pope Galvin said.
" But now is the time you leave to get stronger and defeat Anker, which will bring peace to every creation." Emperor Lant finished.
" Now... You leave."
Suddenly, the Pope opened a portal,
"I'm not proficient with space magic, but what I know is that you will be teleported somewhere extremely close to the city of Wenherst." He stated while Lumin stared at the purple swirling portal with a stoic face.
Lumin then got on his knees...
And kowtowed to the two men.
"Thank you, for everything."
The two men had their eyes wide and their mouths agape, like they had seen a ghost.
"Y-You-" Pope Galvin stuttered, "KOWTOWED!!!" He managed to yell.
Lumin just entered the portal without looking back, but if any of the two men saw his lips, they would pee their pants in fright and scream like the Sissy's they were. Lumin was...
SMILING!
-
Lumin was free falling.
Right after coming out of the portal, he found out that the portal was opened on the air. This was right above the outskirts of the Deckham woods.
He wasn't scared, his faced remained stoic as he fell head-first (Like when you fall from planes those mobile games that the kid BIZIAN_LONE has shown me. Free F*re and CODM).
When Lumin reached 20 meters above the ground, he infused his fist with mana and put it before him. Lumin knew he was lucky to be at the outskirts of the Deckham woods instead of the middle.
But like the Pope had said, Deckham was literally in front of the city of Wenherst. And if you wanted to wanted to come to Wenherst, you'd have to go through it, or around it.
Though he could he could have landed quietly by maneuvering his body through the trees, he didn't want to meet any obstructions like beasts. So he decided to land with a bang!
|BANG!!!| or |CRASH!!!| (NN: Anyone you find better.)
Lumin crash landed like a certain 'Supermån'.
He then dusted himself up and quickly left the area, knowing fully well that his EPIC crash-landing was going to get him unwanted attention, and No! it was not good. And RUN he did.
***
Lumin had already left the Deckham forest, and was steadily approaching the walls of Wenherst.
The walls were huge, reaching almost fifty km in height alone, yet it was one of the shortest walls in Primea. Lumin just looked on, fascinated by finally seeing the structures he was always told about.
The walls were brown, but etched with golden lines, which were Rune Diagrams. The walls had four entrances.
The first one was the South gate, which was bordered against the Mana Barriers, this was the gate Lumin was approaching.
The second gate was located in the west, which bordered the province of Asarker, also in Alfeihm.
The third was in the east, also in the direction of the border barrier.
As for the last one, it was in the direction of Krod; north of Wenherst. The city was so big that the ends of the walls couldn't be seen, even though it was built somewhat circularly.
The east gate was one of the major gates along with the South gate. Before 'The Coming Of Anker', the East gate and the South gates were one of the major tourist spots and entry points of the Primean Empire.
Lumin had already left the area of the Deckham woods and was approaching the long line in front of the East gate. But he was surprised because rather than the the rowdy atmosphere he expected, he saw everyone calmly advancing and there was pin drop silence (Hell, you could hear your own heartbeat).
He was as amused. 'Intriguing. Not that I care...' He thought.
But you, a bum will care. So let's do some flashback.
-
In-built into the huge walls near the gate, was a certified guard post of the Empire. And by the sides of the huge gates were at least few hundred rankers on each side, varying from low [RANK 3] to mid (literally a MID sub realm in-between ranks) [RANK 3].
The ranking of the guards was so high because that they needed to maintain law and order at border towns (hell their cap was a friggin' [RANK 4]).
So that's why they were stronger than 80 percent of the world. After all, 90 percent of people in the three remaining nations were [RANK 1] (It might sound like a small amount, but the total amount of people in the three nations at that time had fallen down to five billion).
Today, the only child of the 'Overseer'¹ of Wenherst decided to join the guards at the city's gates. Obmin was his name. As the son of the Overseer, he had being given a post as the second vice captain of the city's guards (which his father had gotten him by pulling some strings).
Bro was as proud as F..k.
He was always using his position in the military, politics and the city's power rankings to intimidate others.
He was often seen at Benny's, the number one pub/bar/tavern in Wenherst. Only when urged or out of spite, would he go to work. (Hell bro's strength was mostly because of the resources he had been given to by his father, the Overseer)
And because his father was the Overseer, he was naturally and unfairly not punished.
His father a [RANK 4] fire mage, was known as a very scheming man whose plans never fail.
It was even rumored, that his political connections went all the way to the capital. Which was terrifying to common folks, because majority of the people living far from the capital, see Priméro was seen as a place full of terrifying rankers all the way to the eighth rank, including rankers with the legendary space element.
Unlike the United Tribes Of Margonia (UTM), where the title of Overseer, called 'Chief' was fought for in a battle, The Empire was different, because it was the Emperor that bestowed the title of 'Overseer' to the politicians.
-
Obmin was at the city's gate today, which was rare.
"Klausteur, increase the price of the entry fee to ten Bronze Prime."
|GASP!|
Everyone was shocked (except the guards and the people who already knew his character, which they saw as normal 'Type Shii'). Though everyone was unhappy, they didn't have the power or authority to protest.
---
But as always, in every realm of existence... there's always a fool.
---
"HEY!"
The speaker—well, the yeller—was visibly nervous as hundreds of pairs of eyes turned to face him.
But the chosen one immediately regained his bearing...
---
(Haha, just kidding.)
---
Bro continued,
"Who the hell do you think you are?! You can't just raise the entry fee like that!" he protested.
Then he added, with an exaggerated huff,
"Now just cut off your right arm and your donger, and maybe I'll consider sparing you. Hmph!"
---
Bro was so cocksure of himself that he didn't even notice... no one was backing him.
And when he did—
HE. WAS. PISSED.
---
|BOOOM!|
The Hot-Blooded Youth (Who else do you think he is?!) released the aura of a peak [RANK 1]!
---
'SHIT!'
That was the collective thought in the crowd.
---
Then...
|Sigh...|
Everyone who saw him started looking at him with even more pity than before.
Because HBY bro was... (Sorry—is! He's not dead yet)... a prodigy.
He looked to be in his early twenties, yet he was already so OP!
---
In fact, someone would've loved to say:
"|Sigh|... Dude, I can't believe you're this dumb. Unlike you, most of the people here are either from the city or did some research before coming.
I'm sorry, man." (pats shoulder)
---
Or maybe...
A nice, slightly chubby male foxkin would strut up and say,
"Hey, meow meow, m—"
(Wait. What sound do foxes make again? Never mind.)
"Just wanted to say... I like you!"
---
Obmin looked at the guy and muttered coldly,
"Who the hell am I, you ask? Well, I'm the one who killed you."
---
Before anyone could process what he meant, earth spikes erupted from the ground and impaled the poor fool.
---
|Rumble!|
Silence fell. Heavy, absolute.
Obmin merely snorted and yelled at the stunned crowd, a gold tooth flashing in the light:
"What the hell are y'all looking at?!"
---
And just like that...
Everything returned to normal.
As normal as it ever would be—
With a dead body lying in the middle of the queue.
And flies buzzing.
---
END of flashback.
---
Lumin then joined the line.
Fortunately for him, it was shorter than most days for some reason. So, in a few hours, he found himself at the front.
---
"10bp."
Francis was doing his usual routine... collecting money.
This time, it was from a white-cloaked and hooded figure.
He didn't think much of it. It wasn't the first—and wouldn't be the last—time someone covered their face.
Hell, it was practically trendy among the members of the Adventurers' Association.
Still... the white cloak was pretty eye-catching.
And the figure was a little shorter than him—Francis stood at six feet three inches.
---
Lumin stepped forward and paid the entry fee.
Francis recited the line without missing a beat:
"Once past the gates, your Mana imprint will be checked to see if you're a wanted criminal.
If you're unranked, your fingerprints will be scanned."
He handed back the slip and said:
"Stay safe."
