PHASE 2 Mission : Blackmailed by Dunge : WHY Y/N WHY!!!

Jungkook and Y/N walked into the living room, their exhaustion palpable. The room was filled with the low hum of conversation as Jimin, Alexander, Eun Woo, Suga, and Roy huddled around a large table cluttered with documents and laptops.

Jimin: Finally. *Jimin greeted, though his tone was more tired than enthusiastic* We've been waiting for you two.

Jungkook managed a half-hearted smile.

Jungkook: Sorry we're late. Work ran over.

Y/N gave a curt nod, not meeting anyone's eyes. She slumped into a nearby chair, clearly worn out.

Suga looked up from a document he was examining.

Suga: We've been busy, too. I found a document, but some names are missing—specifically numbers 7, 14, and 18.

Jungkook: He must have killed them and removed their names. *Jungkook's face hardened.

Roy chimed in, holding up the laptop.

Roy: I found something else that might help. It includes all the names, even the ones that were hidden.

The group gathered around as Roy scrolled through the list. The room fell into a tense silence as the names of police officers, lawyers, and students appeared on the screen. Y/N's eyes widened when she spotted Rinda and Haje's names.

Y/N: What the hell… *Y/N muttered under her breath.

Jungkook's eyes narrowed.

Jungkook: Rinda? That can't be right.

Y/N picked up her phone and dialed Rinda's number, but it went straight to voicemail.

Rinda: Come on, Rinda. Pick up.

The silence in the room grew heavier. Eun Woo broke it, his voice barely above a whisper.

Eun Woo: If Rinda's on this list, she might try to hurt Chaoyue and Hje In.

Alexander's brow furrowed.

Alexander: We need to get in touch with her and find out what's going on. I will call Chaoyue first.

Chaoyue and Hyje In both answered their phones and assured them that they are alright.

Alexander and Eun Woo then felt relieved.

Suga: And we need to figure out why she's involved with Dunge.

Roy tapped a few keys on his laptop.

Roy: I'll see if I can track her location through her last known activity.

Jungkook rubbed his temples.

Jungkook: We need to move quickly. If Rinda is working for Dunge, she can be a threat to us. Because she knows our mission.

Y/N stood up abruptly, her frustration evident.

Y/N: How can she do this to us?

Jimin placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

Jimin: We will find her, Y/N. Let's stay focused and use what we have.

Y/N took a deep breath and nodded, her anger giving way to determination.

Y/N: We have to get her before more people die.

Jungkook: Let's focus on the lawyer at the top of the list first. He's a drug dealer. We catch him, and then we work our way through the list.

As they prepared to head out, Jungkook glanced at the large parcel that had just arrived. He opened it to reveal a collection of high-quality guns. The weight of the situation was becoming more tangible.

Jungkook: We'll need these. *Jungkook said, handing out the weapons.

The team nodded, each picking up a gun, getting dressed and preparing for the mission.

Y/N, however, was clearly agitated.

Y/N: I want to come with you. *Y/N said, strapping on her own weapon* I can handle myself.

Jungkook shook his head.

Jungkook: No. It's too dangerous. Stay with Suga in van and make sure everything goes as planned.

Y/N's frustration boiled over.

Y/N: Why are you always making decisions for me? I'm capable. I can help.

Jungkook's face hardened.

Jungkook: It's not about capability. It's about ensuring your safety. I can't risk losing you out there.

Y/N's eyes flashed with anger.

Y/N: And what if I can't handle being left behind? I want to fight alongside you. I want to make a difference.

Jungkook sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.

Jungkook: Y/N, I understand you want to help, but—

Y/N: —but what? *Y/N interrupted, her voice cold* You think you're protecting me by keeping me out of the field? You're only making me feel useless.

The argument was heated, and everyone was starting to feel the tension. Jimin, Alexander, and Roy exchanged uneasy glances.

Jungkook: Fine. *Jungkook said, his tone frustrated* You can come with us. But you follow my orders. No improvisation.

Y/N's expression softened slightly, though she was still upset.

Y/N: Thank youuuu.

With that, the team prepared to leave. Suga took the lead in the van, directing them from afar. Eun Woo set up his camera to record from a distance, ensuring they had evidence of the lawyer's activities. Alexander, Jungkook, Jimin, and Roy entered the building where the deal was about to go down, Y/N following close behind.

They moved steadily, hiding behind containers as they observed the transaction. Eun Woo's voice crackled through the earphones.

Eun Woo: I've finished recording. It's your turn.

Jungkook signaled the team to move forward.

Jungkook: Everyone stays sharp. I'll handle the initial confrontation.

As they approached, Jungkook stepped into view, his voice firm.

Jungkook: Surrender now, and no one gets hurt.

The dealer and his crew reacted by opening fire. Jungkook dove for cover, returning fire with precision. The team followed his lead, engaging the attackers. Amid the chaos, Y/N's determination was clear, but it nearly got her in trouble.

In the crossfire, Y/N barely avoided a bullet. Jungkook saw this and stormed over to her as the gunfire subsided.

Jungkook: Y/N! What were you thinking? *Jungkook yelled, his voice laced with anger and concern* You could have been seriously hurt! I told you to follow my orders.

Y/N's face flushed with a mix of anger and hurt.

Y/N: I was just trying to help. I don't need you to constantly watch over me like I'm a child.

Jungkook's voice softened but remained firm.

Jungkook: It's not about watching over you. It's about keeping you safe. I'm not going to let anything happen to you, especially when you're not following instructions.

Y/N's eyes glistened.

Y/N: I'm tired of being treated like I'm incapable. I'm doing this because I care, not because I want to be a burden.

Jungkook's expression softened, and he stepped closer, lowering his voice.

Jungkook: I know you care. I care too. But we have to be smart about this. We can't let our emotions cloud our judgment.

Y/N nodded, though the hurt was still evident.

Y/N: Just go away. I don't need your protection. I can't trust you anymore.

Jungkook took a deep breath, his frustration giving way to a more measured tone.

Jungkook: But I trust you, Y/N. That's why I want you to be careful. Let's focus on the mission right now.

With their argument temporarily resolved, the team pressed on. Roy and Alexander managed to capture the lawyer, tying him securely to a pole. They left the recording as proof and quickly exited before the police arrived.

The police arrived shortly after, arresting the lawyer and beginning their investigation. The team watched from a distance, their mission accomplished for now.

Over the following missions, Jungkook and Y/N's relationship evolved. Jungkook took the time to train Y/N, helping her improve her shooting and boxing skills. Their interactions brought them close again but for a while.

The restaurant was bustling with the evening crowd, but the atmosphere at the table was tense. Jungkook, Y/N, and the rest of the team were mid-dinner when Y/N's sharp eyes caught sight of a familiar face through the window.

Y/N: Look, *Y/N said quietly, pointing discreetly* Isn't that our next target?

Alexander glanced over and quickly responded,

Alexander: Don't stare. He'll notice us.

Suga: (added) And we're unarmed right now. It's too risky to engage.

Eun Woo: (nodded in agreement) It's dangerous here. We might put the other diners at risk.

Jungkook observed the man without comment, his expression unreadable. Y/N's phone buzzed, and she glanced at the screen, her eyes darting back to the target. The man's gaze locked onto Y/N's, and she felt a chill.

Y/N: Yeah, *forcing a calm tone* Let him leave. We don't have any weapons.

She stood up abruptly, making her way outside. The team watched anxiously as the man followed her out. Alexander nudged Jungkook and said.

Alexander: You should go after Y/N. She might get caught up.

Jungkook's eyes followed the man who was now tailing Y/N. His concern deepened, and he decided to follow discreetly. Hiding behind a corner, Jungkook overheard the conversation between Y/N and the man.

???: You need to stop your friends *the man said menacingly* or else they all will die.

Y/N: (voice trembled) Okay, fine. But don't harm Jungkook.

Jungkook's heart sank at the realization that Y/N was being blackmailed. The man's threat made Jungkook's blood boil, but he stayed hidden, trying to piece together what was happening.

???: Just keep pretending that you hate him. As long as you do that, he'll be fine.

Jungkook's emotions were a mix of relief and hurt. He felt a pang of sadness.....Y/N was being forced into a difficult situation, and she hadn't confided in him. Did she not trust him?

Frustration bubbling over, Jungkook called Jimin.

Jungkook: Get everyone out of the restaurant. Come here. We're going to need to handle this.

Jungkook emerged from his hiding spot, confronting the man directly.

Jungkook: Leave Y/N alone. Don't scare her.

The man's eyes narrowed.

???: Stay out of this. You don't know what you're dealing with.

Y/N, noticing Jungkook, tried to push him away.

Y/N: Jungkook, stay back! Please don't get involved in it!

Jungkook's eyes were fierce.

Jungkook: Tell me what you know about Dunge. If you're involved, I want answers.

The man smirked and quickly signaled to his men.

???: Deal with them. *he ordered.

As the man and his entourage approached, Jungkook and his friends found themselves in a tight spot, facing off with their adversaries without their usual arsenal of weapons. Y/N tried her best to protect Jungkook, but the sheer number of enemies and the chaotic nature of the fight overwhelmed them.

In the ensuing struggle, Y/N fought valiantly, trying to shield Jungkook from harm. She shouted over the noise, her voice strained, Y/N: Jungkook, you need to get back! It's too risky!

Jungkook gritted his teeth, his frustration evident.

Jungkook: I'm not leaving you here! We have to push them back!

Despite Y/N's efforts to keep him safe, they were forced into a desperate battle. Eventually, the fight was over, and they all found themselves at the police station, only to be met with frustration as the police failed to arrest any of the attackers.

Jungkook's anger was palpable as he stormed out of the station.

Jungkook: This is ridiculous! They let them go. We have to do something!

Eun Woo sighed: I'm heading home. This has been a long day.

Jungkook: Yahh! Where are you guys going?

One by one, the team left the station, the weight of their failure hanging heavily on their shoulders.

Roy watched as the tension between Jungkook and Y/N reached a boiling point. His voice was firm but carried a note of concern. Roy: Jungkook and Y/N, I think you both need to talk.

Y/N's eyes were filled with anger and hurt.

Y/N: What have you done, Jungkook? If Dunge finds out what you did to his men, he won't let you live.

Jungkook's face was a mix of frustration and desperation.

Jungkook: I can't stand seeing you like this. Why are you obeying his orders? Why are you putting yourself through this?

Y/N's voice was cold and sharp.

Y/N: Stay away from me. We aren't a couple and give me that locket back.

Before Jungkook could react, Y/N reached for the locket around his neck, yanking it off. Jungkook, in turn, pulled at the locket around Y/N's neck, tearing it from her. The symbolic gesture was painful, both physically and emotionally.

Jungkook, witnessing the scene, stepped forward with a heart-wrenching look.

Jungkook: Look, without these lockets, we're still a couple. You love me, and I love you. Dunge can't separate us.

Y/N's resolve broke, and tears streamed down her face.

Y/N: You don't understand. Just stay away from me.

Jungkook's eyes filled with anguish as he took a step closer to Y/N. Ignoring her protests, he pulled her into a forceful hug.

Jungkook: You said you can't live without me. Then why are you trying to push me away?

Y/N struggled in his embrace, her voice choked with sobs.

Y/N: I can't live without you, but we're not safe when we're together. Dunge will use our connection against us. I need to be with Roy now.

Y/N wriggled free from Jungkook's arms and moved towards Roy, who was standing nearby. She threw her arms around him, seeking comfort and support. Jungkook's heart shattered at the sight.

Jungkook took a step forward, his voice pleading.

Jungkook: Y/N, don't do this. We can figure this out. We can fight through this together.

Roy stepped in front of Jungkook, his expression stern but compassionate.

Roy: Give Y/N some space. She needs time to process everything, and she needs to be safe. Let her be with me right now.

Jungkook's shoulders slumped, his heart aching.

Jungkook: I just want to protect her. I want us to be okay.

Roy's gaze was unwavering as he spoke.

Roy: I understand that, but pushing her right now isn't going to help. She needs to find her own way through this, and we need to respect that.

Y/N clung to Roy, her tears soaking into his shirt. She turned her face away from Jungkook, unable to meet his gaze. The air was heavy with the emotional weight of their fractured relationships and the looming threat of Dunge.

Y/N: I'm just so scared. When V was thrown into the sea, it felt like someone was tearing my heart out. I wanted to scream, but no sound came out. I wanted to jump in after him, but I couldn't move. It was the worst feeling.

Roy's expression softened as he placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.

Roy: Jungkook is standing outside, and it's starting to rain. Please, go and ask him to come up.

Y/N hesitated, her gaze drifting to the window. She saw Jungkook standing below, drenched and looking up at her with a mix of hope and desperation. The rain began to fall harder, and Y/N felt a pang of guilt and confusion. The thought of going back to Jungkook felt like she was pushing him toward danger.Y/N was confused because going back to Jungkook was like pushing him into death's mouth.

With a heavy heart, Y/N made her way downstairs, each step feeling like a weight on her soul. She approached Jungkook, who looked up with weary eyes.

Y/N: Jungkook, go back. It's too dangerous for you to be here.

Jungkook's face was resolute, despite the pain he was hiding.

Jungkoook: I won't leave until you come back to me.

Y/N's heart broke at his words. The love and determination in his eyes were both comforting and frightening. She sighed deeply, her voice filled with anguish.

Y/N: Are you sure you can protect me?

Jungkook took a step closer, his voice steady despite the storm raging around them.

Jungkook: I will try my best.

Y/N's tears fell freely as she continued.

Y/N: Then don't blame me if one of us gets hurt in the future. The pain you've caused me, I'll seek my revenge later.

Jungkook's eyes softened, and he reached out, taking Y/N's hands in his.

Jungkook: No one is going to get hurt. If you need to take revenge on me, I won't mind. I just want us to be together, no matter what.

Y/N's tears mixed with the rain, and she looked back at Jungkook, seeing the love and resolve in his eyes.

Jungkook wiped away her tears gently.

Jungkook: It's okay. We're together now, and that's what matters.

Jungkook held Y/N's face in his hands, his eyes locked with hers.

From the apartment window, Roy watched the emotional reunion, his own heart aching for them. He slowly removed his mask, revealing his true identity.....V.

V: Jungkook, Y/N, don't worry. I promise I will protect you both. There is no time to tell you guys about my real identity. But now, with all that's happened, I'm here to make sure you're both safe. I will help you catch Dunge and keep you out of harm's way. You both have been through so much, but we're a team. We'll face this together, and we'll make it through.
