"What?" Jimin snapped at Jungkook, who was laughing so hard he tripped over the couch.
"ARGHH!" Jungkook screamed as he fell backward, over the couch with a loud- Thud.
"Pabo..." Taehyung rolled his eyes at Jungkook's stupidity and turned toward us.
"Ouch," Jungkook groans after pulling himself back onto his feet. Karma.
"Both of you have dust all over your faces. Go and wash your face," Taehyung sat down on the couch with a disapproving look.
"Kaja..." Jimin helped me onto my feet and we made our way to the bathroom.
"Holy shit!" Jimin gasped in shock when he saw himself in the mirror... covered in dust. I started chuckling as I stared at our reflection. The only thing I could see was my eyeballs and teeth.
"Why are you laughing?" Jimin asks, turning on the water.
"We look like idiots," I chuckled, turning to look at him.
"I guess so," Jimin smiles, bending down to rinse his face.
"Oh! You scared me!" Jungkook shrieked, backing away against the wall when he passed by the bathroom with his eyes wide open.
"Very funny," I snarled at him.
"Wash your face," Jimin smiled, moving away from the sink to dry his face with the towel. I quickly splashed the warm water against my face and rinsed it with the cleanser.
"Come here," Jimin insisted, turning me around to face him and gently dabbed the towel against my face.
"Thanks," I mumbled, slowly opening my eyes to find Jimin's soaking-wet bangs.
"Your hair is wet," I smiled, taking the towel from him to ruffle his wet hair. He didn't say anything but stared at me in silence. Slowly, he reached out to touch my hand... making me freeze in place. My heart skipped a beat.
"Are you guys done? Why are you so quiet?" Taehyung questioned, appearing by the door with a suspicious look.
"Yeah. Yeah, we're done," Jimin nodded, instantly letting go of my hand and strolled past Taehyung.
"I'll tell Yoongi about the heater," I smiled weakly at Taehyung.
"Your face is still soaked," Taehyung sighed, taking the towel from my hand to dab away the remaining water on my face.
"What's going on?" I questioned his dull expression.
"What do you mean?" Taehyung briefly glanced at me.
"You're good with the blank expression," I took the towel from his hand. He made eye contact with me before letting out a heavy sigh.
"Come on," He muttered, walking away from me. I followed him out onto the balcony. I quietly stared at the city lights as the cold air brushed against my cheeks.
"Someone is orchestrating something big and I can't figure it out," Taehyung leaned against the balcony railing with an uptight expression.
"You mean the one responsible for the murder?" I asked, turning to look at him as the chilly wind brushed his hair backward.
"Yeah, it's an alpha. I'm sure of that," Taehyung turned to look at me with an anxious expression.
"How are you so sure?" I asked him unsurely.
"Only the alphas know about each other. Inside information has been leaked. That's how the person broke into the mansion," Taehyung sighed.
"Do you know who?" I asked, softly tapping the railing.
"No, but I'm sure it's someone who works at the mansion. They couldn't have found our room with the maze-like illusion," Taehyung pulled his eyebrows together.
"Who do you suspect?" I asked, turning to look at Taehyung.
"I'm sure it's not the 5th rank alphas. They're too weak. Not the third rank because that's me and Jungkook," Taehyung said quietly.
"It's either the 4th rank or the 2nd rank then?" I nodded slowly.
"Or the anonymous alpha," Taehyung said shortly.
"But it can't be Yoongi. He doesn't even know-"
"I'm not talking about Yoongi. I'm talking about the supreme alpha. Sure, your boyfriend doesn't know anything but his parents- I don't trust them," Taehyung argued in irritation.
"Why would the supreme alpha... hurt any of you if he or she is already the strongest," I asked him in confusion.
"The person might've felt threatened- It's our nature to eliminate the rivals before they grow too powerful," Taehyung shrugs.
"That makes sense," I nodded, turning away.
"You better come eat before I devour the whole thing," Jungkook poked his head out of the door.
"We'll be there," Taehyung answered dully. Jungkook gave me a suspicious look, then returned to the living room. I exhaled and turned towards the door.
"Sora," Taehyung suddenly stopped me from opening the door.
"Hmm?" I turned to look at him.
"Be careful around his parents," Taehyung sighed while staring at me with an anxious expression.
"They're harmless-"
"Sora, I know. I know they're nice back in Busan. I understand. But they're one of us here. I'm sure Yoongi will never harm you but his parents? Sora, they'll eliminate you if they think you're a threat to Yoongi. By that, I mean do not make or convince Yoongi against his parents. If they find out- if they find out... aish... just please come to me or Jungkook or Jimin if you're in trouble-"
"Taehyung, calm down. I understand, okay? Don't worry. If it's the reason that has been stressing you out lately, then get it out of your mind. I promise I'll be careful," I sighed at his pressuring words. Taehyung pursed his lips and scanned my eyes in concern.
"Good. Thank you," Taehyung gulped in relief and lowered his head.
"Come on. You should eat," I smiled, pushing the door open for him.
"Join us!!" Jimin smiles while digging into the food.
"I have to go now. I'll see you guys later," I smiled at him weakly.
"I'll take you-"
"No, stay and enjoy your meal" I shook my head at Taehyung before leaving the suite. But I went down to the management office instead of Yoongi's suite.
"Hello. How may I help you miss Jang?" A female staff smiles at me. Does she know me? Weird.
"The Jeon's suite heater is broken. Please fix it as soon as possible," I smiled at her. She didn't respond and stared at me with her mouth hanging open.
"Hello?" I waved at her until she snapped out of her thoughts.
"Ah! Neh! I will inform the team. I'm sorry for the inconvenience! We will get it fixed as soon as possible," She shyly smiles. I nodded and walked away.
"Oh my god! That's young master's girlfriend? What a lucky girl!" I heard the staff gossip as I made my way back. So that's why she was staring at me huh?
"Oh! I'm sorry," I gasped when I accidentally bumped into someone, causing the person to stumble forward.
"Yah! Girl! How can you be so careless?!" An elderly woman snapped at me.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to," I bowed at her over and over again. Aish! Why didn't I see her walking towards me!?
"Eomma, don't be so harsh," A familiar voice whines.
"No, be quiet hobi! This is Jung Hos-"
"Eomma, she's my friend! Stop it!" Hoseok snapped at his mother. The elderly lady turned to look at me in disgust.
"What do you mean? Why are you-"
"Eomma. She's the Min's son's girlfriend," Hoseok rolled his eyes at his mother.
"Her?" Hoseok's mother questioned, turning to stare at me in shock. She proceeded to eye me up and down in disbelief.
"What's special about you?" Another elderly woman appeared, staring at me with her piercing eyes. Those eyes... resemble...
"Nothing is special about her. Just an ordinary person," Seokjin appears... staring at me dully. Of course, that's his mother.
"Can you stop being so rude to her?" Hoseok glares at Seokjin and his mother.
"It's the truth, isn't it? You're nothing right, Sora-shi?" Seokjin asked with an evil smirk. He's really pissed at Yoongi huh? Did he really have to take it out on me?
"What's wrong with you? Aish. I'll meet you guys at the entrance. I'll be right back!" Hoseok dragged me away with him.
"I'm sorry about them. You don't deserve it," Hoseok apologetically stared at me.
"It's fine. What are you doing here?" I asked, glancing at the ground sadly. I always say I'm fine when I'm not. What they said did hurt my feelings. I'm just a useless piece of shit compared to them.
"It's not fine. Seokjin has been a bit grumpy since the last meeting. We're here to have dinner. Look, I have to go now. I'm sorry about what happened," Hoseok gave me a reassuring pat.
"Go on, it's fine," I smiled. Hoseok gave me a quick hug before rushing off towards the entrance. I felt like crying. I feel so small and inferior around them.
"Where have you been?" Yoongi questioned, walking towards me when I finally returned to the suite.
"The Jeon's heater broke, so I went to check it," I said quietly.
"What's wrong? Did you just cry?" Yoongi asked when I tried to hide my face.
"Ani, no-no I d-didn't" I stuttered, avoiding his eyes.
"Sora, don't hide. I can see it. What happened?" Yoongi placed his hands on my shoulders to examine my face.
"I-I don't know," I sob as the unconscious tears roll down my cheeks.
"What the... do-don't cry- yah-" Yoongi immediately pulled me into a tight hug when I suddenly broke down. I couldn't handle it anymore. I'm so frustrated. Yoongi held on to me tightly as I cried in his arms. After calming down, Yoongi made me tell him everything and so... I did.
"They said that?" Yoongi asks while staring at me in shock. I nodded.
"Sora, you are special to me. They think you don't deserve all of this? Well, fuck them. You're the only one who deserves all of this. Why? Because you were always with me when I had nothing. Now I have everything, so I'll give you my everything," Yoongi sadly eyed me while he brushed my cheek with his thumb.
"And I'm gonna murder all of them," Yoongi clenched his fist.
"Don't, please. Hoseok apologized, just forget it," I shook my head. Yoongi darted me a difficult look and stared at me in silence while he scanned my swollen eyes.
"Let's go," Yoongi suddenly got onto his feet.
"Go where?" I asked in confusion. Where is he going at this hour?
"Away, far away. As far as we can from this shit hole," Yoongi replied, pulling me onto my feet.
"Yoongi..." I whispered in shock. Does he really want to leave?
"What? Let's go back to Busan. Live our life." Yoongi turned to stare at me.
"Yoongi don't do this for me. You have everything right now- I don't want to be the reason to ruin it. You deserve all of this," I whispered while staring at him. If he leaves, he'll lose everything. He's been suffering for so long, barely making enough to enter his music university. Life has given him everything at this point. I can't ruin it.
"No, not for you. For us, Sora. I don't want any of this. I'd rather deliver food back in Busan than live here. Come with me, let's go far away. This is our only chance to escape their stupid game," Yoongi shook his head repeatedly.
"Are- you sure? You can achieve almost everything with this- So many opportunities-"
"I don't want it. Sora, will you come with me?" Yoongi spoke sternly... placing out his hand for me. I stood staring at his open palm in silence.
