LOSING GRANDMA

Just when she tried to relax her phone vibrated, she refused to pick up the call. It wasn't until she got a text that she knew what was making her uncomfortable.

The doctor texted her telling her that her grandma was in the hospital and that it would be really nice and helpful if she was there.

Ai Meng stood up hurriedly and left the class, when the class saw her they were stupefied for a moment because they had never seen an expression on her face. When Fang Haoyu saw her leaving the class in a hurry, he felt like going after her but then if she wanted something she'd ask him so no way is he following her, but he still couldn't help but get worried as his eyes travelled to the door. Ai Meng first went to the principal's office.

Sir it's an emergency Ai Meng begged with her slightly red eyes and swollen lips (which she had been biting while walking to the office). The principal paid her no mind. After thinking for a while, she left in a hurry, she ran to the class and then bowed in apology and then she rushed to Fang Haoyu, she pulled his arms making him stand straight she pulled him outside as she endlessly bowed to her teacher for disrupting the class. Immediately they got outside.

Please call your chauffeur, make him come and make an excuse, I need to get out of here now. Ai Meng said as she tried holding the tears that were threatening to well up in her eyes.

But, are you okay? Fang Haoyu said as he took his phone out of his pocket.

Ai Meng immediately started walking fast while Fang Haoyu tried to catch up with her. Immediately they got to the office they saw Su Zhou whom Ai Meng looked at with a grateful gaze.

You can leave now the principal said with a stern face.

Thank you sir Fang Haoyu said with a polite smile, he only felt the wind against his face and then he realized that Ai Meng was gone.

He ran outside and tried catching up with her but by the time, he realized that he couldn't even find her shadow not to talk of her body.

Why do I always have to catch up with her? Fang Haoyu thought with a bitter smile, first of all he had to catch up with her in studying, now he has to run the next time what will it be? He thought as he shook his head unhappily.

Ai Meng booked a taxi which she told to speed up. Immediately she got to the hospital, she hurriedly walked to the doctors office as the tears in her eyes dropped.

She knocked on the door after fixing her appearance.

Come in Doctor Shin said

How's she? Ai Meng asked without beating around the bush

Sit down and calm down. Would you like some water? Doctor Shin asked

I'm fine what's happened to her, I thought you said if she's not stressed then she'll only have to visit the hospital in her last week Ai Meng asked with a soft and trembling voice.

Well...…I called you to ask if you want to spend the last ten days with her Doctor Shin broke the news

Last ten days? What do you mean? Three months ago, you said she had a year to live but what's this now? Ai Meng asked

Doctor Shin sighed and opened the door telling her to follow him.

Grandma Ai Meng cried as she threw herself in her grandma's arms

Grandma Ai Meng called as she held unto her grandma's clothe tightly.

After that little episode, Ai Meng hurried home to get some daily necessities and transferred her grandma to a VIP room.

You want to take her to a VIP room? can you afford it Doctor Shin asked

I think so Even if I can't keep it up for a year, ten days shouldn't be a problem Ai Meng said

Doctor Shin looked at her surprised. Thinking that he did not believe her she hurriedly transferred the money.

I'll get going when I come back then we'll talk more on her health Ai Meng hurried down the hallway and then the stairs, she took a taxi again when she got home, she hurriedly picked clothes for the next 10 days. She even took makeups so she could make her grandma look good. She contacted a photographer who'll take a picture of her grandma while the rest will be taken with her phone.

She booked a cab and left, few minutes after leaving Fang Haoyu came and found her house deserted. He frowned

Did she run away or what? Fang Haoyu asked no one in particular.

Five days later Fang Haoyu kept feeling restless, he hadn't seen Ai Meng in a long time he was wondering how she was feeling, if she still felt sad he took his phone but then he realized that he didn't even have her phone number after sighing, he turned and tossed on the bed and then gave up.

When on Monday came, he went to school in hope that she'll be in school but still couldn't find her. He kept looking at the empty seat imagining she was there.

On the twelfth day of her absence, he finally couldn't take it anymore.

On the way there, Fang Haoyu kept tapping his fingers on his knees impatiently. Immediately they got there, he took the umbrella and walked in without any sense of direction.

He kept searching until he found her on the top of her grandma's stone.

Ai Ai Fang Haoyu called gently but got no response. When he touched her hand, she did not withdraw it like usual. He turned her face to his direction that was when he realized that she was unconscious. He carried her horizontally to the car. He wrapped her with the blanket and kept her hands warm. To him, it was still a mystery why every other place of her body was hot but her palm and feet were as cold as ice.

Uncle Zhou, please drive faster. If possible, take us to the hospital Fang Haoyu said as he felt himself panic but he still tried to remain clear headed.

Hmm Su Zhou nodded and drove faster.

Immediately they got there, he requested for their family doctor and they immediately brought her to a ward.

Grandma Ai Meng whispered as her voice broke.

It's okay, don't cry. Fang Haoyu said as he tried pacifying the unconscious Ai Meng.

When the doctor came he fixed a drip on her and did the necessary.

Fang Haoyu paced back and forth wondering when she'd wake up.

Young master she'll definitely awaken don't worry Su Zhou said

Hmm I knew that Fang Haoyu said nodding his head.

Fang Haoyu pulled an all-nighter for her, watching her every minute, every second.

Ai Meng finally woke up in the afternoon of the next day feeling a slight headache, she sat up.
