Chapter 134: Registered Trademark

Diana couldn't believe how she was feeling at this moment—betrayed, deceived, and utterly foolish.

She had taken countless bullets to shield Black Superman, only to discover he wasn't immune at all.

"Aren't you afraid of bullets!?" she blurted out in frustration.

"You didn't even ask," Black Superman retorted confidently, further fueling her anger.

As the gunfire momentarily subsided, the army commander emerged from the ranks, and even Steve No. 2 was drawn back by the commotion.

"Diana! What in the world are you doing?" Steve No. 2 asked incredulously.

He had just managed to negotiate cooperation, only for them to escape from prison minutes later. While others might attempt discreet escapes, these two opted for a bold breakout, making Steve No. 2's efforts seem futile.

Diana felt a pang of embarrassment seeing Steve No. 2's dismay. She had initially agreed to cooperate, yet now she found herself causing chaos alongside Black Superman.

Before she could defend her actions, their superior intervened sharply, "You're surrounded, foreigners!"

"Sir, let me explain—" Steve No. 2 began, but was cut off abruptly.

"Shut up, Captain Trevor!" the boss snapped, glaring at Peter and Diana. "This is your last chance! Surrender now, or we won't hold back!"

Steve No. 2's heart sank. He understood the ultimatum—the moment Black Superman and Diana made another move, negotiation would be off the table. Having witnessed Black Superman's power firsthand, he knew any further confrontation would lead to mutual devastation.

Even Diana, usually composed, felt a twinge of nervousness as she glanced at Black Superman.

Suddenly, her attention was drawn downward to a stone at her feet. It wasn't the stone itself that caught her eye, but the fact that it was slowly rising into the air.

One by one, stones and debris around them began to levitate, causing a stir among the nearby soldiers. Some stones even hovered in front of them, eliciting gasps from the onlookers.

"What's happening?" someone exclaimed, moments before Peter slowly ascended into the air, declaring, "This is also your last chance."

The ground trembled, cracks forming as buildings started to crumble. Small and large stones floated upwards, gathering into a colossal sphere above Black Superman. The air filled with the sound of chaos and disbelief.

The soldiers, hardened by battles and familiar with Ares' wrath, found themselves terrified. Their confidence shattered as they looked at their superior and Steve No. 2.

Steve No. 2 was dumbstruck, his mind racing. If the heat vision on Paradise Island was alarming, this spectacle was cataclysmic. The sight of an impending earth-shattering event was beyond anything he could have imagined.

"No! Black Superman!" Diana shouted toward the heavens.

She was stunned, realizing she had unwittingly amplified Black Superman's destructive potential. Her efforts to shield him from bullets had been in vain.

Diana couldn't fathom the consequences. London housed hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people. The impact of such a meteorite would be catastrophic.

Peter glanced at Diana, brushing off her pleas as he focused on their superior.

While accompanying Diana in her superhero antics was amusing, Peter wasn't one to play pretend. His powers were real, and the devastation he could unleash was undeniable.

Their boss, still in shock, seemed to grasp the severity of the situation. "Black Superman, you can't do this!" Diana pleaded desperately, glaring at Steve No. 2.

Steve No. 2, shaken to the core, looked at his befuddled superior, gritting his teeth. Stepping forward, he raised his hands in surrender. "We surrender!"

His declaration galvanized the surrounding soldiers. Reacting swiftly, they too raised their hands, prompting their boss to finally come to his senses. Overwhelmed by fear, he dropped to his knees, unable to comprehend the magnitude of what had transpired.

Observing the surrender, Peter felt a twinge of disappointment. He had been eager to unleash the full force of the Earth-Exploding Star, yet circumstances had forced his hand.

With a wave of his hand, a massive meteorite descended from the sky.

The next day, Peter and Diana strolled through London. The city, perennially shrouded in rain and mist, felt oddly uncomfortable for Diana.

Leading them was a plump woman—a secretary or administrative clerk familiar to Steve No. 2. She guided them through the streets, where residents buzzed with talk of the previous night's events.

Despite military efforts to contain information, speculation ran wild among Londoners. From tremors felt across the city to the sight of a colossal meteorite, tales spread like wildfire.

"What happened last night?" passersby queried.

"Could it have been a wizard?" some wondered aloud.

"Could a wizard possess such power? I heard troops were seen heading that way. Perhaps it was Germany!"

"If it's the enemy's doing, we should just surrender!"

"My neighbor's relatives claim their house was sucked up!"

"It's horrific!"

"And... didn't they mention something about God?" rumors swirled.

Diana, feeling embarrassed, admitted, "I was nervous. I almost thought it was the end."

The plump secretary joined in, oblivious to Diana's unease. "Did you witness it? That massive meteorite blocking out the sun—it was terrifying!"

Diana glanced at Peter, who stood nonchalantly beside her, seemingly unaffected. She pursed her lips and replied vaguely, "Maybe."

In the distance, obscured by mist, a massive bat-shaped statue rose where the earth had cracked the night before—a testament to Peter's trademark spectacle over London.
