Chapter 157 Hermes

Hermes, one of Olympus' twelve main gods, known for speed and travel, wielded a scepter enabling swift movement between realms. He was also Diana's half-brother, sought for aid during crisis.

The gods, withdrawn from Earth, faced turmoil as Zeus vanished, leaving Apollo and Ares vying for the throne, amid a prophesied threat from the Firstborn, Zeus' powerful, long-estranged child. "The god?" Diana's surprise matched her skepticism.

"Yes," Hermes affirmed, moving to escort her away urgently.

Before he could act, Peter intervened firmly, breaking Hermes' grip.

"It's impolite to touch my people without consent, Mr. Hermes," Peter stated firmly.

Hermes frowned, acknowledging Peter, previously ignored. Ares mentioned Diana's companion's strength, but in the face of Zeus' powerful progeny, his focus remained on Diana.

Observing Diana beside Peter, Hermes sensed a disconnect from his expectations. Seeing her alongside a mortal, he reluctantly abandoned any notion of forcible persuasion.
