Magic system

The magical system for James Potter world stems a bit from Harry Potter world but with a twist.

Western wizards. Are born with magical powers. They use wands as a means of unlocking that magic with words(mind) and physical energy. They primarily use wands. They design spells that structured complex and mentally masterful. The top masters are like Mastro's of music or Supreme wizards.

Magi. They draw their magic from with in using their minds or words and song. Magi are viewed as lower street magic users compared to Western or European magic. They excel in teleportation, music and imagination. They can also be classified as freestyle magic users.

Wusxia. Ancient elemental magic. Has deep connection to nature and the elements. They use mana or core magical energy. The elements. Fire Water. Earth. Air. Wood. People that achieve high levels of magic are known to be given the title dragon.

Dark wizards. They are predators or power seekers. They use deadly dark arts for purpose of domination, power and control. They don't focus on creative magical studies. They hate the magi, non-magi and challenge the top wizards up the chain of power.

Non-magi. They don't use magic and their normal people.

The Mist/unknown.  The mist or unknown classified magic is a form of creative positive generative energy that evolves as the user communicates with it and pulls out of it what is needed. Little more is known about it the currently sense it's recent discovery.
