The prophecy

James waited sitting in an armchair in Angus' office/library while Angus went into his bed room for a moment to get something. It wasn't long until Angus came back with a large black box with a jade green top. James frowned at the box.

Angus laid the box on his desk and motioned to James to open the box's lid. James frowned and came to his feet. He opened the lid and frowned at the contents inside. Two folded up pictures, there were three rings inside and folded envelop. James started to ask what this was but Angus started to leave the room.

"Dad? What is this stuff?" James asked.

Angus shook his head. "Look it over and decide for yourself when your done looking it over come down stairs and burn it in the fireplace." He said and left the room.

James felt a strange feeling. He then unfolded the first picture. His eyes went wide as he stared at a picture of himself. He was dressed in the same clothes he had on with the peacemaker in his hand standing in his bedroom with odd expression on his face. He stared words at the end of the picture and then had to read them several times until he was sure what he was reading.

He will possess the peacemaker on his second seventeenth birthday. The son of the dragon of the west. The last Potter. The heir of the mist. Prince of Enchanters.

His heart started beating fast as he dropped the picture in the box and then unfolded the second picture.

"What the hell?"

James stared at a picture was of James and Mara standing in the kitchen with his arm around her smiling. They wore the same clothes they did today and the expressions of happiness was on their faces. He stared at the words on the bottom of the page.

"Luna's descendent. The consort to the prince shall stand in the presence of dragon of the west. The last sign of what is to come. The age of rebirth. The conflict between the dark lord of another world and blessed peacemaker slingers near the twilight of first century of the new era shall be resolved by the song of the magi."

James let the pictures fall into the box and stared at the rest of the contents. The rings. He looked at the rings. They were same rings he had on. Slowly he picked up the envelop and stared at the his name on the front. He sighed and then opened it.

Dear, James

Happy birthday. If your seeing this letter you have gone through life changing events and storms that have tested your mind fortitude. Though your soul is scared you alive. This is not a dream as you maybe asking yourself. No. Those events did happened. I can not give you explanation to how it is you and Mara were able to travel back in time with your memories though I know in the decades to come your mind will figure it out.

I'm sorry I could not keep you from it all or give you advice on how to stop it but I didn't have much choice or power in controlling the strange twists and decisions of wizards and the creatures of dark ambitions.

I became your Oracle for a single day after the death of my best friend. You're destiny is not an easy one. You are the heir of a great legacy. You have suffered greatly to obtain the knowledge you now possess. Time and experience. Use them well. You know who your enemies are and you know who to trust.

Remember your lessons and be courageous. You made it and yes it was damn near a close thing. Though you failed in your first dream you now have enough time to forge a new dream and path to success. You are James Potter. Remember your family moto.

Potters never give up. We always find a way.

After you have concluded reading this letter. Destroy it and the contents and live your life James. When you are ready come see Professor Neville Longbottom at Hogwarts.

Yours, Truly

Sybill Trelawney

James stared at the letter several seconds reading it over and over for several minutes and then put the contents back in the box and carried it down stairs.

He walked down stairs and toward the fireplace that was going with a fire. He sat down on his knees on the floor taking out the letter and pictures and put it into the fire.

James then sat on his knees staring at the flames as the contents were destroyed. When everything inside was destroyed in the flames he got up to his feet. He sighed.

Angus stood in front of him. "I'm making your birthday dinner tonight. Your mother is coming by."

"How long have you had that stuff?"

Angus sighed. "Professor Longbottom gave it to me a few days before your graduation."

"I need to speak to Neville." James said.

Angus nodded. "Don't be long." He said and turned heading into the kitchen.

James apparition and arrived in the headmaster office. Neville sat behind his desk smiling. "Harry! You've returned to Hogwarts already?" He said and then looked down at the peacemaker holstered in his gun belt.

Neville sighed putting down his tea cup and stared at up at him. "How many months did you go forward?"

"Two years and three months." James said. "Where is Professor Trelawney?"

Neville stared at him in shock. "Two years!? No. That's not possible. Traveling that far back through time is unheard of. It's impossible."

James just shrugged. "It is what is is. Where is Professor Trelawney?"

Neville leaned back in his chair and sighed. "She's on lunch break. I advise not talking to her about it. She won't remember what she said."

James sighed. "Damn it. Did she did even write the damn letter? No that had to be you."

Neville smiled. "I dictated her words and collected and stored her drawings."

James glared at him. "You could have told me. You don't know what kind of crap I've been through."

"James. What could I have told you? Time travel is a a forbidden magic art that has been kept secret for decades now. Even still I have never heard of anyone going back as far you done."

James sighed. "Well I did. But, if I could have avoided what happened in the end. I would have traded anything to know what you did."

Neville stared at him. "I wished you never had to receive the prophecy because it would mean that you suffered a great deal obtain it. Your father did and mother did a lot to prevent it from happening. Sadly, they failed."

James shook his head. "That's why you wanted me wanted me to be named Harry."

"Yes. Harry I didn't-"

"My name is James and I know you didn't mean for me to go through what I went through. But it would be helpful to understand why the hell I had to go through any of that bullshit!"

Neville stared at him and whistled. "Bloody hell. You've been through it haven't you."

"That's not an answer to my damn question professor." James said.

Neville sighed. "Make of it what you will. Take all your knowledge and your skills. Use them to crafted another path better then the one you've already travelled down. Your knowledge can help you to fight the current dark lord that is threatening the peace of our society."

James frowned at him. "I'm not interested in any of that. I'll live my life how I want and leave the heroics to you or that asshole Nick Cole. I'm not the hero anybody wants nor do I care to be."

Neville stared at him. "James you have become the heir to the prince of Enchanters."

James shook his head. "I'm just James Potter. I ain't nobody's hero. All I'm going to do is take care of those that mean and loyal to me."

"James! You can't fight your destiny now. It is your fate. You must face and defeat the new dark lord."

James just stared at him. "Thanks. But now no thanks. I know what I'm going to do now. It's something that will be a lot more useful then anything else."

Neville sighed. "You can't fight your fate now. Your destiny is to-"

James went into apparition appearing in front trailer. He stared at the trailer. He stared at it before he heard a female clear her throat.

"Excuse me. Sir. Who are you?"

James smiled and turned to face the girl dressed in a sunny yellow dress with brown boots on. She stared up at him with dark blue raven eyes. "Hello. I'm James Potter. I came here to meet you Raven."

The girl blinked in surprise. "Me? Why me?"

"Raven. Come away from that man." River Song called out to her daughter from the trailer.

The girl hurried past James back to the house. James turned slowly around to see River Song standing with her husband that was coming toward him while Marcus stood beside River Song with her staff in his hand.

"Who the hell are you?" Archer asked.

James looked past him to River Song. "You are River Song. Melody and harmony flow from your blood. Music is were your power lies. It is the gift. The gift of the magi that creates life and happiness. The gift leads the way to peace and creation." He said speaking in song.

They all froze and River Song stared at him. "You are magi." She asked and there was more then a little hopeful note in her voice. It was a pleading in her voice.

James nodded. "I am. I wish to learn from you the ways of my people. The ways of my mother's people. I have no money. I offer you my loyalty and hand of friendship. Ask me what you will."

River Song stared at him and stared at the peacemaker at his gun-belt. "Do you know of my dreams? Do you know of way of my life?"

James nodded. "Yes. Ask of me anything. I am your servant. I am your loyal student." He said bowing to her.

Archer stepped aside frowning between the two of them. "River?"

River Song held up her hand toward Archer taking her child in her arms. She walked up to James staring at James and then stopped just short a few feet. "You are here to serve me to learn of the song magic?"

James nodded. "Yes I am! Only you can complete my education. Ask of me anything. I am here to serve you."

River Song stared at him and then turned pointing at Marcus. "He has my staff. I want it back and him and his gang off my land."

Archer blinked started to say something but James moved with advanced speed final appearing in front Marcus snatching the staff from his grasp. He let it go and the staff flew into River Song's hand while James held Marcus by the collar back against the wall of the trailer.

"Who the hell do you-"

"SILENCE!" James spoke his voice shaking the ground for a second.

Everyone was silent. No one moved or breathed for seconds.

Marcus stared up at James with wide eyes and fear. James nodded down at him. "I know who and what you are Marcus Walker. You and all your gang of thieves are going to leave this land now. You will not return and you will obey me. You will do what I say. You have no other choice. My teacher has made this clear. Do you understand me?"

Marcus stared at James in silence for a few seconds and then he nodded his head. James leaned down closer to him. "You have less then an hour to remove you and your gang from this land. Go." He said dropping Marcus.

Marcus ran hurrying away in a mad dash. James stared at after him. James walked toward River Song. "I'll stay a bit to make sure they're gone. But I'll have to return home for family dinner."

River Song nodded. "I will expect you tomorrow early for your teaching."

James smiled. "Thank you for taking me on as student."
