Emilia's Fall
Not like slipping. Not like dropping from a ledge.
This was something else.
Something deeper and something darker.
It was as if the world had split open and swallowed me into its black hole. The instant I slipped, the moment I let go and all my fingers did not hold anymore, I just disappeared. There was no ground, no sky and no air, just a void yarning an infinity above and below, dragging you to the depths.
I wanted to scream but I didn't know if I still had a voice left and if I still had a body.
The wind shrieked around me but I was buoyant as if I were sinking through the very fabric of existence. No light-nothing but shifting, writhing shadows coiling and twisting around me like ravenous snakes, hissing in languages I could not understand.
And then, a voice.
"You should've let go."
Vickson?
