Three of Us

"I do not believe you, are you not trying to steal my power with something somnething?" I replied, crossing my arm, not believing.

"Your power comes from me! if I am not devoted to the two of you! No power can be used by you!" It cried out once more.

I said, "Stop yelling."

"And believe me!" exclaimed the brain.

"I belive there's no god than the Almighty." I decline it.

"F***k you," it sneers.

"What? F***k you, why do you swear at me." I respond to it

"Do not mess with you!"

"F***k you, big ahh brain, for trying to take away my authority."

"I am not!" it protested. "I am your strength! Your power! Your destiny!"

"No, you're not," I countered, my voice firm. "You're just a figment of my imagination, a manifestation of my own power."

The brain fell silent, its pulsating light dimming as if in defeat.

Finally, I thought, relieved by the sudden quiet.

"So, can you tell me why I'm suddenly here?" I asked, folding my arms across my chest.

"Because I've been trying to reach you for a long time," the brain explained, its voice subdued. "But only now am I able to communicate with you directly."

"Well, this will be the last time," I declared, a newfound sense of authority in my voice.

"What?!" the brain shrieked, its light flashing erratically.

"Look," I said, crossing my arms, "I don't want to talk to a giant, floating brain. It's kind of... creepy."

A sigh, heavy with frustration, emanated from the brain. "Listen, Xian, I'm not joking. I'm not trying to steal your power. I am your power, and I want you to understand your limitations. Your abilities are still new and untamed. I've been limiting them to protect you. If you overdo it, you could end up harming yourself or worse."

"So you're saying I can't just wish myself super strong?" I asked, a hint of disappointment in my voice.

"That's not how it works," the brain replied patiently. "Do you even understand how the brain functions?"

"Not really..." I admitted, feeling a bit sheepish.

The brain pulsed with a renewed energy. "Very well. Imagine your brain as a complex machine with countless interconnected parts. Each part has a specific function, and they all work together to create thoughts, emotions, and actions. Your superpowers are like new features that have been added to this machine. But just like any new feature, they need to be tested and calibrated before they can be used to their full potential."

"Okay, I get that," I said, nodding slowly. "So what are the parts of my brain, and what do they do?"

"There are many different parts, but the most important ones for your powers are the frontal lobe, the parietal lobe, the temporal lobe, and the occipital lobe," the brain explained. "The frontal lobe is responsible for decision-making, problem-solving, and planning. The parietal lobe processes sensory information from your body, such as touch and temperature. The temporal lobe processes auditory information, such as language and music. And the occipital lobe processes visual information."

"Wow," I said, impressed. "That's a lot to take in."

"It is," the brain agreed. "But it's important to understand how your brain works if you want to control your powers. For example, if you want to use your telekinesis, you need to focus your attention on the object you want to move and visualize it moving. This activates the parietal lobe, which sends signals to your muscles to move the object."

I listened intently, trying to absorb all the information the brain was giving me. It was a lot to process, but I was determined to learn. After all, knowledge was power, and I wanted to be as powerful as I could be.

"So, what happens if I try to use my powers too much?" I asked, remembering the brain's warning about harming myself.

A ripple of concern passed through the brain's light. "If you overuse your powers, you could put a strain on your brain and cause damage," it explained. "You might experience headaches, dizziness, nausea, or even seizures. In extreme cases, you could even lose consciousness or suffer permanent brain damage."

I gulped, suddenly feeling a lot less eager to test the limits of my abilities. But I also knew that I couldn't just sit back and do nothing. I had to learn how to control my powers, not just for myself but for everyone around me.

"So, what do I do?" I asked, looking to the brain for guidance.

"We know your power is Imagination Manifestation," the brain continued, its voice taking on a more serious tone. "It can create almost anything you can imagine. But there's me... I'm the brain who controls and regulates that power. The reason we separated is because..." It paused, as if hesitant to reveal the truth.

"I'm too strong?" I ventured, sensing the unspoken answer.

"Precisely," the brain confirmed. "When you were born, your potential was so vast that it threatened to overwhelm your physical body. To protect you, your consciousness split from your true brain, allowing me to remain in this dimension while you grew and developed in the human world."

"...What if I overuse my power?" I asked, a flicker of worry crossing my face.

"For now," the brain replied, its light pulsing with concern, "if you overuse it, I could cease to exist. And you would lose your power."

"I could just imagine you can't die," I retorted, trying to sound confident, but a knot of fear tightened in my stomach.

"That's! Not! How! It! Works!" the brain practically shouted, its light flashing erratically.

"Huh," I said, crossing my arms defiantly. "It's my power. Why are you being so stubborn?"

The brain sighed, its light dimming slightly. "Stubbornness is a trait we share, it seems. But listen, Xian, this is a delicate balance. Your imagination is the fuel, but I am the engine that makes it work. Without me, your power is useless. And without you, I have no purpose."

A heavy silence fell between us. I could feel the weight of the brain's words, the truth of them sinking in. I had been so focused on the power itself, the thrill of it, that I hadn't considered the consequences.

"So what do we do?" I asked finally, my voice barely above a whisper.

"We learn," the brain replied. "We learn to work together, to understand each other's strengths and weaknesses. We learn to control your powers, to use them responsibly and safely. And most importantly, we learn to trust each other."
