Basic Operation of a Paladin
Forseti was in free fall, shivering from the cold wind. How high is this cliff? It's been almost half a minute. Could it be a lake below? Oh yes, there is no lake in Jotunheim. Even if it was a lake, falling from such a height would be no different from hitting solid ground.
However, he wasn't too afraid. After all, an invincible cliff jump was basic for a Paladin, second only to the invincible hearthstone. With Divine Shield in hand, jumping off cliffs was just another maneuver.
Forseti was engrossed, staring down, holding his gear tightly. Finally, he could see the ground—the frozen surface of Jotunheim—rushing towards him at great speed.
Hold on...
Forseti was short of breath, his eyes wide, and even the pain in his arm was forgotten for a moment. Just as he was about to collide with the ground, he quickly summoned the holy deed.
**Holy Shield!**
The holy light bloomed, and a layer of golden light composed of countless tiny runes instantly covered his whole body.
"Boom!"
In the next instant, Forseti was like a meteorite, smashing into the ground with a thunderous sound. The massive impact easily penetrated the ground that had been frozen for eons. However, against the Holy Shield, it couldn't even shake him a bit.
Forseti only felt rubble and ice flying around as his body came to a stop. The spell fragments of Divine Shield lasted only for a second, and in the blink of an eye, the rune holy light on his body disappeared.
At the same time, bursts of chills struck—Forseti was embedded in the ice. Climbing back to the surface, he sat down, panting and tending to the wound on his arm. He looked up at the heights from where he had just jumped.
Jotunheim was dark all year round. He couldn't see the bottom of the cliff from the top, and now he couldn't see the top from the bottom. It was all dark and nothing more.
Laufey shouldn't be chasing after him... He wondered if Hela could escape.
Forseti soon focused on his situation again. Alone in Jotunheim, he didn't know how he could return to Asgard. It seemed he could only rush to the nearest outpost, and he generally knew the direction.
But the top priority was to find a safe place to hide and heal, otherwise wandering around Jotunheim alone was too dangerous.

"Uller, where is my daughter?" Odin was anxious and angry, pacing back and forth in the Rainbow Bridge teleportation hall.
Uller's eyes flickered slightly, seemingly penetrating the distance of countless light-years. "I'm looking for her..."
Odin pointed out, "Why didn't you take action until the outpost was destroyed? Why?"
Uller said calmly, "The sixth outpost, where Princess Skadi was, was also attacked on a large scale. I couldn't take care of both outposts."
"Isn't Hela more important than Skadi?" Odin asked.
Uller replied, "Princess Skadi is the eldest daughter of the God King and the first heir. I must protect her first."
Odin clenched his fists, anger flashing in his eyes. "I hope it's not your personal grudge."
"There is no personal grudge between us," Uller said, reluctant to elaborate. Odin was silent. After a while, Uller's expression changed. "I found her."

After Forseti jumped off the cliff, Laufey walked to the edge and looked down, frowning slightly. He quickly turned his head to see Hela staggering away.
"Humph!" Laufey snorted coldly, raised his hand, and a large piece of ice shot out. Hela was seriously injured and couldn't avoid it. She was hit several times and fell, blood gushing out.
She struggled to get up but couldn't. Laufey approached slowly. Just as he was halfway there, a beam of colored light descended from the sky, covering Hela.
"Rainbow Bridge!" Laufey was shocked and hurried over, but he was too late. The colored beam disappeared, and Hela was gone.

Forseti found a small cave with a particularly narrow entrance. Alone in Jotunheim, this cramped environment gave him a sense of security. Hiding in the cave, he continued to heal. Though he had dealt with the trauma, the frost giant's attacks caused frostbite, especially after being stabbed by Laufey. The frostbite needed special treatment.
Fortunately, as a doctor, he had plenty of medicines. Forseti quickly prepared a cold-relieving agent, applied medicine and bandages to his arm, then took out dry food from his Sanctuary space to replenish his strength.
After a few bites, Forseti paused. Food was a big issue. He only knew the general direction of the outpost and didn't know when he would arrive. Jotunheim's flora and fauna were scarce—he couldn't afford to starve. After a moment's hesitation, he put away the dry food.
He found a piece of ice and tapped it with Verrigan's fist. Flames burst out, melting the ice into some water. Not enough to eat and drink, but it would do for now.
Tiredness hit, and Forseti opened a wave of Sanqi lottery as usual. He obtained [Thank you for your patronage], [Standard Space Grid], and [Devotion 0.21]. After learning all the spells on the second floor, the winning rate of the space grid seemed to have increased. He had accumulated dozens of cubic decimeters of space over a few months.
Now, in a dangerous situation, the gift of fate might bring some turning points. He tried again. He obtained [Thank you for your patronage], [Thank you for your patronage]... and [Cleanse]. Cleansing—a Paladin's detoxification spell. Not bad.
He obtained [Book of Experience: Stone Tooth Boar], [Piety 0.07]... and [Book of Experience: Ice Demon Hunter]. Ice Demon Hunter? Forseti drew dozens of times in a row and was startled when he saw this book of experience.
**[Ice Demon Hunter]**
**[Experience Level: Level 3]**
He was sensitive to anything related to ice now. Could this book of experience help him? Forseti pondered but was too tired to fight. He decided to sleep first.
---
He didn't know how long he slept. With the help of medicine, Forseti's injury healed mostly, but the side effects of the Swiftness Potion showed. His legs were sore, and he couldn't get up. He cast Faith on himself to restore his legs' mobility.
After some dry food and water, Forseti remembered the book of experience he got last night. He took Verrigan's fist and entered the ice demon hunter's experience space. An ice field similar to Jotunheim appeared before him. The target of the experience was the Ice Demon Hunter, a branch of the World of Warcraft troll race, the Frost Troll.
The Ice Demon Hunter performed a backflip and said with a sharp smile, "Dazdingo!"
