Ice and Fire 2: Heavy Sky
Seeing the two demons, Forseti was excited.
For ordinary beings, there is no necessary relationship between stance and morality. Frost giants are Asgard's mortal enemies, but there's no essential difference between the kindness in the eyes of the frost giants and the kindness in the eyes of Asgardians.
Kindness, integrity, humility, etc. are moral standards recognized by almost all intelligent life, although they may not always live up to them.
But demons are different. They are born to reject virtue and embrace vice. The only thing that can bind them is a contract – one with real consequences.
Generally speaking, most demons live in a place called "hell," which is not common in the universe. However, Asgard has had conflicts with hell before, and it makes sense for demons to reinforce frost giants and trolls.
Sure enough, as the distance between the two sides shortened, the Holy Light pointer immediately appeared and swayed back and forth between the two demons.
Forseti held his shield in one hand and his hammer in the other, swinging the war hammer violently.
"Judgment!"
The Hammer of Judgment shot out, hitting a demon immediately.
The Hammer of Judgment hit the demon's shoulder, but then, stimulated by sin, the Holy Light burst out suddenly.
"Boom!"
The warhammer composed of Holy Light turned into a dazzling light, engulfing the demon.
The demon didn't even have time to scream before it turned to ashes in the Holy Light.
Seeing this familiar holy light spell, Hermond was stunned: "You..."
Forseti patted his shoulder: "I can't believe it, Hermond, you're only reacting now."
As he spoke, he rushed towards the other demon.
The demon, feeling the tremendous lethality of the Holy Light, looked terrified. It didn't dare to confront Forseti and turned to run.
Just as Forseti chased a few steps, he was blocked by a tall troll.
"Die!" The troll held a machete and slashed violently.
"Wall!" Forseti activated the divine power of flames, and a raging fire burst into flames on his shield. While blocking the blow, several flames burst out, burning the troll's hands.
"Ah!" The troll cried out in pain and quickly retracted the knife.
Forseti raised his hand with a hammer.
"Holy Light Strikes!"
On Verrigan's fist, holy light and flame burst out simultaneously. The troll hurriedly dodged, but his arm was still broken by the hammer, and the fire burned along his lush body hair.
The troll backed away in horror, while four more trolls rushed up to besiege Forseti.
In paladin fighting, the shield is one of the most important weapons next to the warhammer, and Forseti is naturally quite proficient. When he uses the hammer and shield together, even in the face of four trolls, he has the upper hand.
The four trolls were very afraid of the power of flames, and they shrank back, beaten quite embarrassingly.
"Ah!"
At this moment, a scream came from Brunnock, who was slashed by a troll on the shoulder, and blood spattered.
Forseti's expression changed, and he immediately slammed the warhammer into the ground.
"The Sword of Justice!"
The energy sword pierced from the ground, hitting the troll's foot!
Blood exploded, and most of the troll's legs were pierced, torn, and burned by the Sword of Justice, causing a severe injury akin to amputation.
The troll fell to the ground screaming.
Brunnock stepped forward to deliver the final blow, decapitating the troll.
Forseti was momentarily distracted, and the four trolls besieging him seized the opportunity, their offensive increasing sharply.
"Shield of Light!"
With the help of the shield of Holy Light, the effect was greatly enhanced. The condensed Holy Light instantly unfolded along Forseti's shield, forming a giant shield over a meter in length and width.
The attacks of the four trolls fell on the giant shield.
The Holy Light part of the giant shield was cracked all over, but it bought Forseti time to adjust.
He kicked down a troll with a flying kick, and simultaneously swung the warhammer, the Holy Light striking the chest of another troll.
The troll was wearing heavy armor, but was still hit with enough force to draw blood and fall to the ground, the armor on his chest sunken.
A teammate quickly delivered the final blow.
Due to the presence of Forseti and Hermond, the team's combat effectiveness was significantly higher than average, and they had the upper hand.
However, just as they were about to end the battle, a team of frost giants approached from the side, led by a long-haired frost giant with the power of ice.
Frost giants have talents similar to divine power, primarily frost, with other abilities being rare.
The long-haired frost giant conjured several ice spikes and shot them at Forseti.
"Bang bang bang – crack!"
The shield of Holy Light, already cracked, shattered under the ice spikes, collapsing and dissipating.
However, Forseti had anticipated this. As the Shield of Light was about to collapse, he moved swiftly, launching a judgment shot from his warhammer.
The long-haired frost giant conjured an ice wall in front of him.
"Boom!" The Hammer of Judgment, imbued with Holy Light and flame, shattered the hastily made ice wall.
The remaining strength of the Hammer of Judgment knocked the frost giant back, but his ice armor absorbed most of the impact, and he quickly got up.
Before he could react, Forseti dashed forward, closing the distance in a few strides.
The long-haired frost giant hastily formed an ice sword and swung it at Forseti.
"Crack!"
Verrigan's fist collided with the frost sword, sending ice shards flying. The sword was smashed into a large hole but recovered before the next impact.
They fought at close range, Forseti pressing his hammer against the enemy's face, barely blocked by the ice sword.
The long-haired frost giant's body was engulfed in cold energy, the ice-blue light of the sword shining brightly.
Forseti's expression changed slightly, and he activated the divine power of flames, his body instantly covered in flames.
The heat dispelled the ice, confronting the frost giant's icy power.
The frost giant gritted his teeth, the cold on his body intensifying, the ice spreading behind him.
Forseti increased his strength, the flames turning from red and yellow to a little white, burning fiercely.
A spectacle of ice and fire formed, one side raging fire, the other freezing ice.
But divine power has strengths and weaknesses, and outside of a cold environment, the frost giant's power declined. Soon, Forseti gained the upper hand in the ice and fire tug of war.
"Hiss—"
Facing the blazing white flames, the frost giant's body began to melt, smoke rising as water dripped.
