Absorbing the Fire of Hell
As the ultimate manifestation of holy light's power, the fire of hell naturally had no effect on it.
What should have happened next was Forseti taking advantage of his invincible state to rid himself of the hellfire, but things took an unexpected turn.
The flames of hell crashed down, clinging to the surface of the holy shield's rune-lit barrier, unable to penetrate.
However, a large portion of the divine flame on Forseti extended beyond the protective range of the rune holy light. As a result, the divine flame connected with the fire of hell.
What the hell!
Forseti was startled and quickly retracted the divine flame. Unexpectedly, the divine flame dragged the hellfire with it, absorbing it into his body!
At the same time, a strange scene occurred. As the flame withdrew, the rune holy light of the holy shield acted like a sieve, separating the hellfire into two components.
The two components separated by the hellfire: one was the flame, which smoothly passed through the rune holy light and merged into Forseti's body; the other was an unknown black energy, blocked by the rune holy light, emitting a strong evil aura.
Forseti didn't have time to think too much and quickly dodged the black energy.
The Divine Shield's time was up.
"Boom!" The black energy hit the ground and exploded, creating a large pit.
Forseti was affected and blown away, seeing stars for a moment.
"Cough, cough..." He shook his head, quickly got up, and checked his body.
After a while, Forseti frowned slightly.
Absorbing the hellfire... it didn't seem to cause any discomfort.
He reasoned that the harmful components in the hellfire had been separated by the rune holy light and must have been the black energy that just exploded.
A flame lit up in Forseti's hand as he observed it carefully.
The flame's power seemed stronger, but the amount absorbed was too small for any significant change.
This made him a little disappointed; he had hoped to directly become a second-order god...
After encountering Zatanos's hellfire, Forseti was much more cautious and didn't dare to show off like before.
He pretended to be seriously injured and fought an ordinary frost giant for hundreds of rounds, all the while keeping an eye on Zatanos, wary of another attack.
This continued until the battle ended.
"Boom!"
Odin struck a thunderbolt, destroying the last stone tower, and muttered, "Uller?"
"The space channel is not here," Uller's voice echoed.
"How is this possible!" Odin was annoyed. "We've explored all the enemy camps and still haven't found their space channel!"
Uller was silent for a moment. "It seems they have concealed the space channel exceptionally well."
"Damn, where is it?" Odin frowned.
He then shot his spear, causing three thunders to explode in the air: "Boom-boom-boom!"
After the thunder, the Asgardian troops gathered and organized an orderly retreat, signaling the battle's end.
Watching the retreating Asgardian troops, the frost giants and demons chose not to pursue.
Zatanos and Grimirr stood side by side, looking grim.
"How long do you think the space channel can remain hidden?" Zatanos asked.
"Not too long," Grimirr said, "but I think our goal has been achieved."
Zatanos snorted. "I doubt it. Ulic's brain has never been reliable; he's responsible for half the stupid things in the universe."
Grimirr frowned slightly. "And what about you? You ran off to kill an Asgardian soldier and left me to deal with Odin alone. The worst part is, you didn't even kill that kid."
"You don't understand. That kid has a power I've never seen before. For us demons, that power is just... Wait, you said he's not dead?" The flames on Zatanos's head flared up.
Grimirr sneered. "Do you think I'm lying? I saw him alive, though slightly injured."
"This... how is this possible?" Zatanos couldn't believe it, the flames on his skull dancing with unease.
Grimirr said leisurely, "It seems that kid will be a big problem for your demons in the future."
Zatanos clenched his fists, saying nothing.

On the way back, Forseti's hands lit up from time to time as he carefully felt the changes brought about by absorbing the hellfire.
However, after several observations, he found that apart from a slight increase in the upper temperature limit, there seemed to be no other changes.
But in any case, this seemed to be a way to improve divine power, though its feasibility didn't appear high...
Forseti stopped thinking about it.
"How are you?" Hela approached him.
"I'm fine," Forseti smiled.
Hela said, "You have quite the luck. You were hit by Zatanos, but you're unharmed."
"Would you prefer I be in serious trouble?" Forseti teased, then felt uneasy about his boldness.
Hela's expression was subtle for a moment but soon returned to normal. "You'll be fine."
She then left.
Forseti was conflicted, trying to decipher the subtle expression she had just shown, but he couldn't figure it out and became more uneasy.
"You're a lucky kid," Hermond poked him.
Forseti raised his head and glanced at him. "..."
Zatanos?
He suddenly recalled the hell lord's name.
He remembered vaguely that this demon seemed to have some connection to Ghost Rider.
In terms of appearance, Zatanos and Ghost Rider were quite similar: skeletons, flames, chains... If there were a motorcycle and a leather jacket, it would basically be a Ghost Rider outfit.
Back at Odin's camp, Forseti entered his room.
"Buzz!" Little Stone Root greeted him.
Although Stone Root's strength wasn't weak and could handle an Asgardian warrior, Forseti still didn't intend to take him to the battlefield, letting him stay in the camp instead.
Forseti patted Stone Root's little head, then sat down, opened the holy book, and prepared to count his gains.
Every demon belonged to a person born with great evil. Killing them was rewarded. He had killed over 20 demons, advancing his goal of a hundredfold revenge.
Let's see what's here.
Forseti rubbed his hands and counted the rewards one by one.
Obtained [Blinding Light (Shard)], [Light Shield (Shard)], [Standard Space Grid], [Hammer of Justice (Shard)]...
The rewards seemed dominated by spell fragments. At first, Forseti was a little disappointed, but after getting two consecutive Divine Shield spell fragments, his mood improved.
Obtained [Alchemy Recipe: Demon Statue]
Finally, something special appeared.
