Fury's New Car
After Forseti and Maria left the room together, Maria couldn't help asking, "Where are we going now? You said Carol is on an alien planet."
Forseti didn't answer, and at that moment, the Rainbow Bridge fell from the sky, disappearing instantly with the two of them.
Little Rambo couldn't help but exclaim when she saw this scene. She ran over quickly but found nothing except the teleportation traces on the ground.
"What the hell is going on?" She turned to Nick Fury.
Nick Fury shook his head, then sighed. "I know as much as you. Let's go back to the room and hope your mother comes back soon."
Being left here to take care of the child made Fury feel a bit depressed.
After all, he was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, a small boss in the bureau. Compared to his usual work, babysitting was far less exciting.
A few days later, when Nick Fury was teaching little Rambo an arithmetic problem, two black cars came to a stop in front of the villa, and a few men in suits and ties got out.
"Is Nick Fury here?"
Nick Fury frowned at this.
He was just helping Maria take care of the child temporarily, and this wasn't his residence. How could anyone come here to find him?
Out of professional sensitivity, Nick Fury asked little Rambo to hide, while he went out with a pistol to meet the uninvited guests: "Who are you?"
The answer surprised him.
"We are from the Stark Industrial Gold Research Center," said a gray-haired middle-aged man leading the group.
Nick Fury was puzzled: "Gold Research Center?"
"Not many people know us, but we have a lot of good things. This is for you," the gray-haired man pointed to the black car next to him. "We received a message to deliver this car to you."
Nick Fury looked at the car.
Though it didn't appear to be branded and didn't look remarkable, Fury was almost certain that the car was much better than his original one.
The gray-haired man introduced: "Strictly speaking, this car hasn't been officially produced. You are the only current user, Mr. Fury."
"Is there anything special about it?" Nick Fury leaned closer to the car.
"You can drive it like a normal car, or you can turn on another mode. Let me demonstrate," the gray-haired man said, getting into the car. Nick Fury followed.
The man pressed a few buttons, and the seemingly unremarkable black car trembled. The four wheels transformed into a shape similar to jet engines.
An invisible force appeared, lifting the car and suspending it half a meter above the ground.
Seeing the car turn into a flying machine, Nick Fury couldn't help opening his eyes in disbelief: "It can fly!"
The gray-haired man smiled: "Its engine technology was first born during World War II. Howard Stark first showcased it at an exposition, though the technology back then was crude. By the way, Captain Steve Rogers was there too."
Nick Fury couldn't help but say, "Really?"
The gray-haired man nodded: "If you want to check, you might find a photo. This technology has been deeply embedded in strategic military projects, but its successful application in cars is recent."
"The car you're in uses some light-cast components unique to the Stark Gold Research Center."
Nick Fury asked: "What is Lightcasting?"
"It's a proprietary technology," the man replied, obviously not planning to elaborate.
The man showed Fury how to operate the flying car, then landed it back at the villa and said, "By the way, if there is no emergency, it's best not to activate flight mode casually, especially in public places."
"Okay, I get it. Thank you." Nick Fury fondled his new car with joy, his longing for the old car instantly vanished.
"By the way, what's this car called?"
"Sunshine."
After everyone left, Fury was about to turn on the flight mode again. The four wheels turned into jet engines.
Little Rambo ran out of the house. She had obviously witnessed the car's magic and quickly said with bright eyes: "Uncle Fury, take me!"
"Come up," Nick Fury said, and they immediately flew up, rushing through the surrounding mountains and forests, overlooking the scenery below, enjoying every moment.
"How do you feel?"
Little Rambo, lying on the side of the car window, said: "I've been on a plane driven by my mother, but this feels completely different!"
Nick Fury smiled and was about to say something when a mechanical voice suddenly interrupted: "Friendly reminder, electricity usage exceeds 10,000 degrees."
Ten thousand degrees? Nick Fury was stunned for a moment, then estimated the electricity bill in his mind.
"Damn it!"

Arrival in Asgard
The light from the Rainbow Bridge dissipated, and Maria Rambo found herself in a splendid hall. A majestic man in armor, holding a long sword, stood in front of her, saying, "Welcome to Asgard."
"Asgard?" Maria was stunned, then remembered something, "Could it be the Norse mythology..."
"It's true to a certain extent, but there are many falsehoods and mistakes," Forseti said.
"God." Maria said in disbelief.
Forseti said: "Wait here for a few days. Once Carol appears, the Rainbow Bridge will send you there. I will personally protect your safety. All you need to do is wake up her dusty past and bring her back from Vers to Carol."
Maria, no longer doubting the matter, nodded: "I understand."
Heimdall said at this time: "Forseti, did you buy this dress on Midgard?"
"No, I asked Asgardian tailors to make it, but it looks similar to Earth clothes," Forseti said.
Although he liked the clothes of Midgard, they were too fragile for the Aesir, like paper mache, and might get damaged with too much movement. Naturally, he had to rely on Asgardian tailors.
A few days passed quickly.
Heimdall had been closely monitoring various battlefields, looking for Carol's traces, while Forseti and Maria remained on standby.
Finally, one day, Heimdall said: "Carol has appeared. Get ready."
Maria couldn't help getting up, pursing her lips, looking nervous and expectant.
Forseti propped up two shields of holy light, holding one in each hand, standing beside her, saying, "Don't rush in."
Then Hermond pierced the Sword of Guardianship, and the Rainbow Bridge opened, sending the two over.
In the blink of an eye, before the rainbow light had completely dissipated, a figure glowing brightly crashed into them like a meteorite!
