Knowhere

With the collapse of the Temple spaceship, Thanos' power completely disappeared, and he himself vanished, bringing an end to a vigorous interstellar war.

The Asgardian warriors, who had saved countless civilizations from invasion, could finally enjoy their leisure time after gaining unprecedented prestige.

This day, Loki personally piloted the spaceship through the starry sky. The spaceship contained his brother Thor, as well as Volstagg and Fandral. As for Hogan, he had returned to Vanaheim.

"We're approaching the Land of Knowhere, do you see that?" Loki pointed out the spaceship window at a huge object that resembled a planet.

"What's that, and why does it look like a head?" Thor asked.

"So clever," Loki laughed.

"..." Thor was silent for a while. Every time Loki called him clever, he felt like it was sarcasm.

Loki continued, "You guessed it, it's a head—more precisely, the head of an celestial"

"Head of celestial!"

Loki nodded, "That's right."

"Who cut off the head of the god? Few could do that," Volstagg asked.

Loki looked at the head of the god that was getting closer and closer outside the window and said slowly, "There's a saying that Knull the God Butcher cut off this head with his black death sword."

Thor asked, "Who is Knull?"

"I don't know." Loki obviously knew but didn't bother to explain. "We've reached the place; it's time to land."

He piloted the spaceship and slowly landed on the Land of Knowhere, an interstellar city built on the god's head, filled with brilliance and glamour.

"Is it really as interesting as you said?" Fandral looked at the various pedestrians.

"Of course," Loki said with a smile. "You can find all kinds of entertainment services here: pubs, casinos, dance parties... and services that might not be legal elsewhere."

As he said that, he pointed out, "Let's go to that Oroni casino first. Come with me."

After half an hour, in the casino, the four of them were attracted by a small beast called Oroni, a lizard-like creature used for a gambling game similar to horse racing. The casino is named after this game.

"Hahaha! My Oroni has won again!" Volstagg's luck seemed overwhelming today, and he won several times in a row. Although the profit was not much, it still made him very happy.

He patted Thor on the shoulder, "You lost again, Thor!"

Thor's face showed depression, "You must have taken my luck. I've never been this unlucky... One last time, eh?"

"What's the matter, Thor? Did you lose something?" Loki asked, holding a glass of wine.

"I lost my purse!" Thor felt around and quickly confirmed that he had lost it.

Loki smiled, "I reminded you before we came here that thieves are everywhere. Catching thieves is the most popular entertainment in the Land of Knowhere. Think about it, were you bumped by someone just now?"

Thor frowned, then, as if remembering something, he turned and left, "I'll look for it."

"I'm coming with you too," Volstagg and Fandral followed, leaving Loki alone.

Watching the three of them leave, Loki's expression seemed a little lost. After a long while, he drank the rest of his wine and then sat silently in his seat, playing with the glass in his hand.

Just when Loki was feeling lonely, a man in a black robe suddenly appeared in his field of vision and sat opposite him.

As the man in black robe took his seat, a coldness filled the air, causing the nearby people to retreat, and the water-stained ground and table were immediately covered with frost.

"Who are you?" Loki looked up and asked.

The man in black robe lifted his hood, revealing an ice blue face with a smile, "His Royal Highness Loki."

"The Frost Giant!" Loki was a little nervous.

"Relax, I mean no harm. I'm just here to remind you of something," the Frost Giant said.

"What is it?"

The Frost Giant didn't speak but grabbed Loki's hand.

Loki subconsciously tried to dodge, but he was a step too slow. One hand was tightly held by the Frost Giant, which made Loki feel ashamed, "What are you doing?"

The Frost Giant released his hand unhurriedly, "In the previous battle, you must have noticed that you weren't as uncomfortable with the Frost Giant's body temperature as others... including my fallen comrades."

Loki was silent; the Frost Giant was telling the truth.

The Frost Giant continued, "As far as I know, apart from those with corresponding divine power, only a Frost Giant himself could do that."

"So what?"

The Frost Giant smiled, "More than a thousand years ago, our king Laufey was defeated by Odin. This is well-known. But few know that Laufey also lost a child in the war, a child taken by Odin and whose whereabouts are still unknown."

Loki clenched his fist subconsciously, breathing a little short, "So you think I am that child? This is ridiculous! My father is Odin, my mother is Frigga, my brother is Thor, how can I be a Frost Giant? I don't look like you!"

"It's not difficult to change physiological characteristics. You've learned magic, so you should understand," the Frost Giant said slowly. "You must have doubts in your heart, otherwise, you wouldn't be so excited."

"I'm not excited!" Loki slapped the table emotionally.

"Find the truth in Jotunheim with me," the Frost Giant said. "Laufey has a way to remove the spell on you to verify your true identity."

"If it turns out you are not Laufey's son, you can leave Jotunheim safely. We won't harm you. After all, Jotunheim and Asgard are at peace."

Despite the appearance of five hundred Frost Giants in the Anti Thanos Wars, Odin ultimately chose peace and only issued verbal condemnation.

Jotunheim also made a self-criticism, showing weakness and claiming they were under control. The two sides did not escalate the conflict. If Loki goes to Jotunheim, the risk of being detained is minimal.

Loki was silent.

The Frost Giant said again, "If you believe you are not Laufey's son, why not go and verify it?"

Loki still didn't speak, his head bowed, and his face cloudy.

"You decide for yourself," the Frost Giant stood up from his seat and turned to leave.

Seeing that he was about to disappear from sight, Loki hurriedly said, "Wait!"
