[Avengers]

"You're not the only superhero in the world, Stark," Nick Fury said, casually making himself at home. "There are many people with extraordinary abilities committed to upholding justice and peace—you're just the most famous."

Tony shrugged. "I don't really consider myself a superhero."

"And what do you consider yourself?" Nick Fury asked.

"Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist," Tony replied offhandedly, pouring himself a glass of wine.

Nick Fury fell silent for a moment.

Then he waved a hand. "Alright then. We at S.H.I.E.L.D. are putting together a team of superheroes to handle various supernatural threats. We want to know—are you willing to be part of this initiative?"

"Is the initiative called 'The Avengers'?" Tony asked.

"Yes, precisely. We're assembling the Avengers," Nick Fury nodded. "What do you think, genius?"

Tony pondered for a moment.

Soon, he made his decision: he would join the Avengers.

Not because he felt a pressing need to team up with other heroes, but because the name 'Avengers' was too cool to pass up.

"Have you got a roster set?"

"Yes."

Tony nodded decisively. "Alright, count me in. So who else is an Avenger besides me?"

"No one," Nick Fury smiled. "Technically, not even you yet. The initiative is just getting started, and the Avengers haven't been officially formed."

Tony raised an eyebrow. "Alright, I'll await your updates. Let's hope S.H.I.E.L.D.'s efficiency is better than most government agencies."

...

**S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters**

"Fury, here's my report." The stunning agent clad in black leather handed a file to Nick Fury.

Her form-fitting leather jacket accentuated her figure, giving her a striking and alluring appearance that could captivate any man.

But Nick Fury, as the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., remained unfazed. He was a seasoned veteran who had seen it all—especially aware that beauty often hid danger, and beautiful female agents posed an especially potent threat. This particular woman even bore the chilling moniker of 'Black Widow'.

"What's in the report, Natasha?" Nick Fury asked, glancing briefly at other documents.

"It's about Tony Stark," Natasha replied.

Nick Fury picked up the report, quickly scanning its contents. His brow furrowed. "You don't think he's suitable to be an Avenger?"

"No," Natasha affirmed. "He's impulsive, self-destructive, and a classic narcissist. He's really not cut out to be part of a team like the Avengers."

Nick Fury remained silent for a moment.

Reflecting on his limited interactions with Tony Stark, he found Natasha's character assessment to be spot-on.

"You've got a point," Nick Fury conceded, rubbing his chin. After a pause, he added, "But... he's wealthy."

"What?" Natasha looked puzzled.

"S.H.I.E.L.D. might not have enough funding. We need someone like Tony Stark. If he's not part of the Avengers, he certainly won't contribute financially," Nick Fury explained.

Natasha was silent for a moment. "Perhaps we could make him an advisor to the Avengers?"

"I've considered that," Nick Fury said, "but..."

Just then, Agent Coulson rushed in, looking urgent.

"What's going on, Coulson?"

"There's a monster causing havoc in Brooklyn, sir. I believe we need to take action," Coulson reported.

"Brooklyn?" Nick Fury swiftly called up surveillance footage from Brooklyn, New York.

The scene unfolded before them.

A green-skinned behemoth with pronounced bones roared furiously in the streets, rampaging through traffic as if cars were mere toys.

Bullets from police guns merely tickled him, leaving no visible damage.

"Roar-roar-"

Though the surveillance feed was silent, Nick Fury could almost hear an intimidating roar echoing in his ears as the monster bellowed to the heavens.

"What is this? The Hulk?" Nick Fury asked.

Coulson shook his head. "No, not the Hulk. We've dubbed him 'Abomination'."

"The origin of his enmity is unclear, but he likely has ties to the Hulk. General Ross and Bruce Banner are in the vicinity," Coulson added.

Nick Fury frowned. But with Abomination wreaking havoc, causing casualties by the second, he had little time for contemplation.

"Get everyone to the scene immediately, and bring our latest weapons," Nick Fury ordered.

"Yes, sir."

"One more thing," Nick Fury said, turning to Natasha.

"If possible, try to contact Bruce Banner. Perhaps he can join us too."

Natasha nodded. "Understood."

Coulson led a team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to Brooklyn at full speed. They arrived swiftly, with the thunderous roar of Abomination audible from a distance.

"Roar--"

Watching the colossal figure amidst the flames, the SHIELD agents couldn't help but feel a twinge of apprehension.

"Can we really handle this guy?"

"We have to," Coulson replied, determination in his voice.

"Roar-roar!!" Abomination spotted them, charging towards them with unstoppable force.

The ground trembled under his thunderous advance.

"Barton!" Coulson called out, brandishing a massive gun.

"Boom!" He fired, a brilliant beam of light lancing out, striking Abomination in the chest. It stunned him momentarily.

"Roar!!" Abomination roared back to life, charging forward again.

At that moment, Hawkeye Barton notched an arrow, the projectile finding its mark on Abomination's forehead with uncanny precision.

As an elite of S.H.I.E.L.D., Hawkeye didn't use ordinary arrows.

In the next instant, the arrow exploded upon impact, engulfing Abomination's upper body in fiery flames akin to an incendiary bomb.

But the flames didn't seem to faze him. Abomination kept charging.

Undeterred, Hawkeye fired another arrow. This one exploded in a cloud of white gas—liquid nitrogen.

The minus two hundred degrees liquid nitrogen clashed violently with the searing flames, causing extreme thermal shock to Abomination's skin, which ruptured under the strain, his green blood staining the pavement.

The pain was evident.

Caught off guard, Abomination howled in agony, crashing to the ground, skidding several meters in front of Coulson after knocking over a car.
