Chapter 12 : Inviting Tsunade to dinner

...

"I am the leader of the Root. I asked Kitahara Jo to pick you up at noon. It's my fault for not controlling my subordinates well. I didn't expect Kitahara Jo to use extreme measures. I have punished him. I am deeply sorry for the harm he caused you." Danzo said in a deep voice.

Kitahara Jo in the back stood up at the right time, resisting the humiliation, and knelt down to Watanabe, facing the floor and said bitterly: "I'm sorry, please forgive me!"

  Watanabe: "..."

To be honest, he was shocked by the apology of Danzo and Kitahara Jo.

He thought Mito would only help him not to bother him at most, and He never expected that Mito would force Danzo to actually come over in person to apologise to him.

What kind of existence is Tsunade's grandmother in Konoha? I'm afraid even the current Hokage doesn't have as much power as her!

After a moment of silence, Watanabe looked down at Kitahara Jo who was kneeling in front of him, and tried to make his tone seem indifferent: "Whether I forgive you or not is another matter, but don't bother me again in the future."

Kitahara Jo gritted his teeth: "Of course not!"

In fact, he was furious. Kneeling down to apologise to a little brat from a ninja school was the most humiliating thing he had ever done in his life, but there was nothing he could do.

Danzo also said: "Not only Kitahara Jo, but also all members of the Root will never come to you again in the future."

  Watanabe nodded calmly: "Okay."

Danzo Walked past Watanabe and said something meaningful: "Some people in Konoha are in the sun, and some people are roots buried deep underground. Watanabe, I have no ill intention towards you."

After he finished speaking, he stepped out of the door, and Kitahara Jo quickly got up and left together.

Watanabe looked at the backs of the two in confusion, wondering what Danzo meant by that sentence.

  ...

After walking out of the civilian area, Kitahara Joh suppressed his voice and said, "Danzo-sama, I don't accept it. We are obviously not wrong. Everything we do is for Konoha!"

Danzo said expressionlessly, "We are not wrong, but Mito-sama thinks we are wrong."

"Then...does our Root really have to disband?"

This is what Kitahara Joh is most unwilling to accept. If his behaviour today causes Root to disband in the end, he thinks he will become the sinner of Konoha.

  Danzo did not answer.

If Mito insists on disbanding the Root, then disband it.

Danzo noticed clearly that Mito's delicate and beautiful face had a few more wrinkles. Even the Yin Seal could not slow down her ageing speed. This is very telling.

The only person from the previous era is Mito. If she is still alive, she can certainly suppress Danzo, but if she is gone one day, Hiruzen alone cannot suppress him.

  ...

  ...

  " Mito-senpai is too domineering!"

Watanabe closed the newly replaced iron door and sighed deeply.

Mito not only completely helped him solve the threat of the root, but also was incredibly fast. It only took an afternoon.

He couldn't help but think of the elegant and noble red-haired woman in the study at noon. He felt that Mito was mysterious from the inside out.

She was Tsunade's grandmother, but her appearance and figure were still similar to those of a young girl. I don't know if it was because she took good care of herself or practised some secret technique.

"I have to get closer to Tsunade in the future and try to make friends with her."

Watanabe decided to think. The reason Why he didn't take the initiative to contact Tsunade before was because there were too many people trying to please Tsunade, and he couldn't get in number at all. Besides, even if he became familiar with Tsunade, it wouldn't be of much use. His own strength was most important.

But now it's different. He found that Tsunade was a "treasure loli". As long as he had a good relationship with her, she could really stand up to trouble.

In addition, after becoming friends, he could usually compete with Tsunade.

Watanabe now urgently needs to compete with others. It's too slow to improve his strength just by being lazy. It would be best if Tsunade could beat him up seventeen or eighteen times a day.

That night, Watanabe made a detailed plan for the rest of his life.

  ...

The next morning, Watanabe went to the Ninja School as usual.

Osaka Rukawa had obviously been told by his superiors, and he was not surprised to see Watanabe, who was supposed to graduate early yesterday, reappear in the class, but his eyes were a little complicated.

The courses in the Ninja School were nothing good. Watanabe had gone through nine years of compulsory education in his previous life. He spent the whole morning relying on laziness to improve his strength and thinking about how to get along well with Tsunade.

It is impossible to get along well with girls without spending money. Whenever Watanabe, who is financially poor, thinks of this, he feels so distressed that he almost bleeds.

You can't catch a Mice without setting a trap, so this money had to be spent!

When the school bell rang at noon, seeing that Tsunade was about to go out and go home again, Watanabe did not let her go this time, but quickly chased after her.

  "Tsunade."

Tsunade glanced at Watanabe who was following beside her and asked casually: "How is it, the Root hasn't bothered you again, right?"

Watanabe: "No, Danzo brought Kitahara to apologise to me last night."

Tsunade breathed a sigh of relief: "That's good, I told you, you will be fine with my grandma helping you."

" It's all thanks to you this time." Watanabe said.

"It's nothing, the incident was caused by me, it's normal for me to help you settle it, we are even now." Tsunade didn't care. She didn't like the feeling of owing others. She always felt that it was her duty to help Watanabe, and she never expected Watanabe to thank her.

Watanabe saw her cold attitude, and probably thought that there were too many people who usually talked to her and tried to please her, so he really couldn't get a number.

After hesitating for a moment, Watanabe stated his purpose: "Are you free at noon? I'll treat you to a meal. I said I would treat you last night."

Tsunade touched her chin and thought for a while: "Okay, you lead the way."

She felt that if she didn't let Watanabe treat her to a meal, he would always keep this matter in mind.

The two walked out of the school gate. Tsunade looked at the restaurants along the way and guessed which one Watanabe would treat her to.

But as they walked, Tsunade suddenly felt something was wrong. Why did Watanabe turn into the vegetable market?

"Why are we going to the vegetable market?" Tsunade couldn't help asking.

  "To Buy vegetables," Watanabe replied.

  Tsunade: "Huh?"

'So you want to cook it yourself?'

Tsunade then kept silent, doubtful about Watanabe's cooking skills. After all, he was only twelve years old and at most he could cook basic edible foods.

But Watanabe's next actions were beyond her expectations. She saw him skillfully buying ingredients from various vendors. There are different types of ingredients, some she even has not heard of in her life.

  'Can he cook all these?'

  Tsunade was very curious.

Half an hour later, the two left the vegetable market.

Watanabe spent a total of 700 taels, which was one-tenth of his savings. If it weren't for the 7,200 taels compensated by Kitahara Jo yesterday, it would have directly emptied his family's savings.

'It's still cheaper to cook by yourself.'

Watanabe sighed to himself. It would cost at least 2,000 to 3,000 taels to treat Tsunade to a big meal outside, but it would be different if he cooked by himself.
