Chapter 11 : Danzo's Visit

 ...

A red-haired woman sat behind the desk, wearing a long robe, with a blue diamond mark in the middle of her forehead.

She was fair-skinned, elegant and noble, and she naturally showed off her temperament of being a superior person for a long time.

  "Grandma."

Tsunade walked over with a smile.

  Watanabe was stunned.

  Grandma?

This woman is Tsunade's grandma? ?

Even if She says she is her mother or even her sister, I would have believed it!

         Watanabe was deeply shocked.

"Why did you come back so late at noon?" Mito put down the documents and looked at the two.

Tsunade winked at Watanabe, who immediately understood and said respectfully: "Hello, Mito-senpai."

  "Who are you?"

Tsunade answered: "Grandma, he is a classmate of mine, his name is Watanabe, he has been in trouble recently..."

Then, Tsunade told Mito everything about how she caused Watanabe to be targeted by the Root.

"This is what happened, grandma. You said that Root is an underground organisation that cannot be seen in the light. Watanabe was implicated by me this time. I can't watch him jump into the fire pit."

Mito frowned slightly: "Root's actions are too much."

She was against the creation of Root in the first place. When she heard that Kitahara Castle used an illusion and tried to forcibly take Watanabe away, she felt even more unhappy.

Watanabe, as an orphan of a martyr, should be treated well by the Konoha's high-level officials, but the Root wanted to force him to join. This approach is simply shameless and does not treat the lower-level villagers as villagers at all.

This is not the Konoha that her husband founded .

"Yes, I also think they are too much. How can they treat their own villagers like this!" Tsunade agreed angrily.

"Watanabe, I know everything. Don't worry, I will let Danzo give you a proper explanation." Mito said: "In addition, since you are not strong enough, graduating early will do no good for you. You should continue to study in the ninja school."

"Thank you, Mito-senpai!" Watanabe solemnly expressed his gratitude.

In fact, even if there was no relationship with Tsunade, Mito would still stand up for Watanabe after learning about his experience.

As long as she exists, she will never allow anyone in Konoha to cover the sky with one hand, and will not allow any Konoha villager to suffer unfair treatment.

If even the high-level organisational departments are corrupt, Konoha will not be far from destruction. Mito attaches great importance to the Unprincipled behaviour of the root.

  ...

After leaving Tsunade's residence, Watanabe felt an unreal illusion.

  It was too easy.

Mito solved the life-threatening matter for him with just a few words, so easy that he dared not believe it.

'Big people like Mito-senpai may not help me wholeheartedly, and I can't put all my hopes on others.'

'Let's wait and see. If the root still comes to trouble me later, I will escape from Konoha then...'

  Watanabe decided secretly.

In the afternoon, Watanabe continued to go to school at the ninja school according to Mito's instructions.

The boys in the class didn't feel anything about Watanabe's absence from class all morning, but the girls were very concerned about him. The battle with Tsunade yesterday made him a treasure boy in the eyes of many girls, and they gathered around him to ask about his well-being.

"Watanabe, why didn't you come to school this morning?"

"Did you get hurt badly yesterday?"

"If you don't feel well, just rest at home. I'll take notes for you in class."

  "..."

[Being cared for: sense of security -3, inferiority +2, panic +2...]

  Watanabe: "..."

He really wanted to tell the girls to stop messing with him.

For the first time in his life, Watanabe felt that being popular was such a distressing thing, and he casually responded to the girls' concern.

Tsunade looked at the corner of the back row frequently. She suddenly remembered that she had brought a lot of medicinal herbs for Watanabe to treat his injuries, but she hadn't given them to him yet.

"He looks so energetic, and he doesn't look like he has any injuries."

Tsunade muttered to herself. Seeing Watanabe surrounded by the girls in the class, she felt a little uncomfortable for some reason and gave up the idea of giving him the herbs.

"Anyway, grandma has helped him solve the threat of the root. I no longer owe him anything and have nothing to do with him."

Watanabe finally got out of trouble until the first class bell rang.

If the girls continued to care about him, he would probably have to admit that he was inferior.

In the afternoon, there was a course on the Will of Fire.

For the first time, Watanabe seriously thought about the meaning of the "Will of Fire". Before, he only thought that the Will of Fire was hypocritical and ridiculous, but after meeting Mito at noon, his thoughts changed a little.

The Will of Fire is not ridiculous, but the people who promote it are ridiculous.

Perhaps when the first generation of Hokage created the Will of Fire, it was indeed for the consideration of the younger generation of the village, but the Konoha high-level officials who came to power later did not inherit the ideas of the first generation of Hokage. They only cared about the power in their hands. In order to seize more power, they did everything they could.

'If Konoha replaced a group of people who truly inherited the Will of Fire to take power, would the situation be better than it is now?'

This thought suddenly occurred to Watanabe.

He then shook his head and stopped thinking about it. The top leaders were far away from him. His top priority now was to become stronger as soon as possible.

As long as his strength improved, he could deal with all threats by himself even without the help of Tsunade and Mito.

With this thought, Watanabe relaxed himself and entered a lazy state.

[In laziness: Chakra (Qi and blood) +5, +5, +6...]

'It's still a bit slow to improve like this. It would be great if I could spar with Tsunade every day.'

  Watanabe suddenly missed Tsunade's fist.

In his laziness, the whole afternoon passed quietly.

After school in the evening, Watanabe wanted to fulfil his promise and treat Tsunade to a big meal, but Tsunade went home as soon as school was over. She ran away and Watanabe could not catch up with her, so he had to go home by himself.

When he arrived at the door of his house, Watanabe was slightly stunned.

The gate that was kicked down by Kitahara jo at noon has been repaired and replaced with a more solid iron gate.

  'Who did it?'

After entering the entrance hall, Watanabe saw two uninvited guests in the living room.

One of them was Kitahara Jo, and the other had half of his face wrapped in bandages and exuded a cold aura. It was Danzo, a core senior executive of Konoha.

Watanabe's heart skipped a beat and he panicked instantly. He wished Tsunade was by his side at this moment. Without Tsunade, he didn't feel safe at all.

"Please don't mind our intrusive visit." Danzo stepped forward and took the initiative to speak to Watanabe.

Kitahara Jo followed behind him, his face full of humiliation and unwillingness.

Although Watanabe was panicking in his heart, he pretended to be calm on the surface: "Are you here to ask me to join the Root again?"

Danzo was a little surprised at his calm demeanour and shook his head: "No, we are here to apologise to you."

Mito put a lot of pressure on him in the afternoon, convening a high-level meeting, forcing him, as a core senior executive of Konoha, to agree to apologise Watanabe in person, and with Mito's intervention, it was still unknown whether the Root could be preserved.
