Chapter 50 : Why did you change your attitude suddenly?

...

"Where's Watanabe? Why don't you bring him over!"

Tsunade simply revealed her true intention and she got angry, even angrier than when Jiraiya made fun of her just now.

She felt that since Hiruzen considered Jiraiya and Orochimaru as candidates for his apprentice, it was impossible that he had not noticed Watanabe. As long as he noticed Watanabe, he would definitely discover his unparalleled talent and potential.

In her eyes, Watanabe was better and more perfect than anyone else, but Hiruzen didn't bring him here, which could only mean that he did it on purpose.

Jiraiya saw that Tsunade was really angry, and he shrank his head, not daring to interrupt her.

Orochimaru remained calm and he  did not think that the conflict between Tsunade and Hiruzen had anything to do with him.

"Watanabe is indeed a very talented child.      I can also see that he really wants to be my disciple, and for this reason he achieved the top graduation result in the whole school."Hiruzen said.

Tsunade was startled.

'Watanabe took the graduation exam?

Didn't I tell him not to graduate and wait for me to come back?'

After she realised what was happening, the anger in her beautiful eyes grew even stronger.

Of course she understood that Watanabe took the graduation exam for her, but even though he ranked first, he was still targeted by Hiruzen.

"Logically, I should accept Watanabe as my apprentice." Hiruzen said with emotion, "But he is too good, and he even mastered ninjutsu that even I don't have mastered. I don't have anything to teach him, so maybe it would be better for him to develop naturally..."

"Stop pretending."

Tsunade interrupted coldly.

"Who do you think wants to be your disciple? I'm going home. I'm too lazy to play with you."

After saying that, Tsunade started swinging, brushing past Hiruzen and heading back towards Konoha.

Hiruzen was stunned. He didn't expect Tsunade to do such an extreme thing.

Not only does Tsunade need the status of master and disciple with him, he needs it too, perhaps even more than Tsunade. If he lets Tsunade go back like this, he will not be able to get the approval of Mito and Konoha's high-level officials.

"Tsunade!"

Hiruzen quickly called out to her.

Tsunade ignored him and her back looked quite resolute.

Hiruzen suddenly felt regretful. If he had known that Tsunade would be so angry, he would definitely bring Watanabe over.

"Don't forget, you promised Senior Mito that you would train with me for half a year!" Hiruzen said in a deep voice.

This sentence worked, and Tsunade paused.

She really wanted to leave, but she also knew that her and Hiruzen's master-disciple relationship was related to the family's interests. If her grandmother knew that she stopped being Hiruzen's disciple for Watanabe, there was no guarantee that her grandmother would not have a problem with Watanabe.

Tsunade doesn't care about the interests of the Senju clan, but Watanabe. She doesn't want to cause any bad influence on Watanabe because of her willfulness.

After a moment, Tsunade turned around and glared at Hiruzen angrily:

"Old man, remember this, when I become Hokage, I will never let you down!"

Jiraiya and Orochimaru were both surprised. They didn't expect that Tsunade would dare to threaten Sarutobi Hiruzen.

Hiruzen instead breathed a sigh of relief and he smiled without saying anything.

The next morning.

Watanabe doesn't want to be late again like he did yesterday, so he arrives at the door of the mission hall early to wait for assembly.

Ten minutes later, Uchiha Chiri appeared first, with the familiar pair of long legs in black stockings, which were pleasing to the eyes just by looking at them.

"Good morning, Teacher." Watanabe greeted politely.

Chiri nodded, and she suddenly noticed Watanabe's empty forehead. She had an idea and wanted to teach him a lesson again.

She had told Watanabe a long time ago that it was stupid of him to help the boy, but he insisted on contradicting her. Now the facts finally proved that she was right.

"That person didn't return the forehead protector to you, right?" Chiri put on a cold and preaching attitude, "I told you, you don't understand the world of ninjas. You suffered a loss this time. Next time..."

"No, He returned it to me last night." Watanabe said with a smile, "But I didn't want it. I continued to give it to him."

Chiri was even more displeased when she heard this: "Are you planning to keep lending him the forehead protector?"

Watanabe: "That's not the case. Once he gets through this most difficult period, I will get the forehead protector back. By then, he will be able to pass the ninja exam with his own strength."

"What's his problem?" Chiri asked back.

Watanabe felt that Maito Dai's experience could be told, so he told Chiri the truth that Maito Dai's father was seriously ill and that Maito Dai insisted on sharing the mission rewards he received with himself.

After hearing this, Chiri fell silent.

Watanabe felt that Chiri had misunderstood him, and said, "Teacher, don't think that I don't know anything because I'm young. In fact, I know a lot and won't suffer any loss easily. But you, teacher, may not really understand the world of poor civilians. You should comment less and talk less about things you don't understand..."

'There he goes again ! He started to contradict me again !'

Chiri was very unconvinced, but she couldn't refute Watanabe. Among all the new students she had taught, Watanabe was the one who was the least respectful to her, even though she was clearly the teacher.

"Teacher, are you listening to what I just said?"

Chiri's  face turned cold, and she threatened in a cold voice: "If you say one more word, I will kick you out of the team."

Watanabe: "???"

'What the hell, weren't we having a nice chat? You suddenly changed your attitude.'

Watanabe knew what to do and said nothing more.

Soon, Higurashi and Hyuga Zero arrived one after another and greeted Chiri respectfully.

Chiri was still angry about being scolded by Watanabe just now, so she didn't give the two of them a good look and directly led them into the ninja hall without saying a word.

Hyuga Zero didn't take it seriously. After a few contacts, she thought that Chiri was just that kind of cold person. She smiled and created topics to chat with Watanabe.

Watanabe always felt that this girl was looking for an opportunity to take revenge on him, so he just perfunctorily dealt with her and remained vigilant at all times.

Higurashi was standing by, feeling nervous and trying to figure out how to please Chiri, or at least make her treat him more friendly. Otherwise, he felt like he would be kicked out of the team at any time.

..

Now that the Second Ninja World War is about to break out, the situation in the Ninja World is turbulent. The number of clients coming to Konoha to issue missions is much higher than before, and they are coming from all over the world.

Considering that three members of the team had just left the campus, Chiri only accepted a B-level mission to eliminate bandits. You have to know that when she was alone before, she at most carried out A-level missions, and she even completed many S-level missions. Otherwise, her reputation in Konoha would not be so loud.

"Sir Ninja, that group of bandits threatened our village and forced us to collect 10 million ryo for them within three days, otherwise they would massacre our entire village. We are really desperate and can only come to Konoha to issue a mission for help."

The client was a middle-aged man who cried and sobbed to Chiri.
