Chapter 11: Why Are There So Many Wars?

"You're really something, you know that? Even though Troy was a Kekkei Genkai user, you should've left his body intact. It would have been much more useful to us," Shisui said, looking helplessly at the pile of ash that had once been Troy.

The battle had ended, with Yuhara and Shisui taking out the entire four-man Cloud ninja squad, including Troy with his Magnet Release. This squad was formidable, and if it had been any other two ninjas, they might not have stood a chance. A fully equipped standard combat team would have struggled as well. Normally, the best strategy would have been to retreat.

However, the Cloud ninja squad had the misfortune of encountering Yuhara and Shisui, members of the Uchiha clan. Their abilities were perfectly countered by the two Uchiha. With such a disadvantage, they had little chance of success. The battle ended in less than ten minutes, extended only because some tried to flee, forcing Shisui to chase them down. When he returned, he found that Yuhara had already incinerated Troy.

"That's an ANBU approach. I'm not ANBU, and I don't have the habit of bringing back corpses for research," Yuhara replied nonchalantly. In his years of missions, Yuhara always burned the bodies of his enemies to ashes. This might seem brutal, but Yuhara knew of techniques that could reanimate the dead for battle, especially those within Konoha. To avoid future confrontations with those he'd already killed, he took no chances.

"You really are something..." Shisui shook his head, choosing not to dwell on it. Instead, he looked curiously at Yuhara. "I saw you use the Body Replacement Technique and then fly into the air with considerable speed and agility. When did you learn that?"

"Not too long ago," Yuhara said with a slight smile. "Ever since I heard about the Third Tsuchikage's ability to fly, I started researching how to achieve it myself. I possess Earth Release, just like he does, so I studied how to make my body lighter with Earth Release until I could fly. I got lucky and managed to pull it off after a lot of time and effort."

Although Yuhara's Flight Technique had nothing to do with Earth Release, this explanation was convincing. Given Onoki's example and Yuhara's reputation as a genius, his success was plausible. Shisui nodded in understanding and didn't press further. Every ninja had their unique techniques, some of which they kept secret. Persistently questioning someone about their techniques was both rude and suspicious, potentially marking one as a spy.

"Got it. Let's clean up the scene," Shisui said, sighing as he looked at the bodies scattered around. He led the way, and Yuhara followed, checking his system interface out of curiosity.

After defeating Troy, his system had provided new information, making him curious:

**Skill: Glorious Evolution (0/1)**

**Activation Requirement: Gather 100 Power Fragments**

**Power Fragments:**

- Jounin: 25 fragments

- Chuunin: 20 fragments

- Genin: 10 fragments

- Ordinary enemies: 1-5 fragments each

**Current Power Fragments: 85**

**Friendly Reminder: Ninja rank does not necessarily correlate with strength. Please continue to work hard, Host.**

"Huh?" Yuhara was surprised by the number of power fragments he had accumulated. He wondered if it was due to teaming up with Shisui, as he hadn't personally defeated all the enemies but still received fragments. The total matched one Jounin and three Chuunin, making sense now. This realization made him happy; he only needed a few more fragments to complete his task.

"This turned out better than expected. If Shisui hadn't been with me, I wouldn't have dared to take on all four of them," Yuhara thought, his mood lifting. Despite initially being annoyed at Shisui for taking down enemies, he now felt he'd benefited greatly.

However, the situation called for focus. The sight of the many civilian corpses troubled Yuhara. While ninja battles often resulted in civilian casualties, the Cloud ninjas had massacred an entire village to eliminate one rogue ninja. Their actions were monstrous, akin to the beasts of Oto.

Together, Yuhara and Shisui gathered the bodies and used Fire Release to give them a mass cremation. The flames consumed the village, thick black smoke rising into the night sky. As they watched from a distance, the firelight casting long shadows, Shisui broke the oppressive silence.

"Yuhara, why do you think there are so many wars?" he asked suddenly.
