Chapter 14: I Just Want to Borrow Something

Being called omniscient was a bit too much for Yuhara. He knew his own limits. The reason he appeared to possess such overwhelming, almost otherworldly knowledge and perspective was due to the education he received in his previous life. In his view, the education level in this world was severely lacking. After all, graduating elementary school in just eight years left little room for advanced knowledge. These ninjas, upon completing their 'elementary' education, had to rely on personal experience to gain further understanding. While this method had its merits, it also limited their thinking due to the prevalent 'tool' mentality.

Moreover, the limited education they received prevented them from thinking deeply, trapping them in a fixed mindset. This was why individuals like Itachi Uchiha, despite reaching the pinnacle of perception in the ninja world, still made incomprehensible decisions. Simply put, their level was insufficient.

Of course, Yuhara had nothing to be overly proud of. Any transmigrant from his country who received a decent education could do the same. Transmigrants often carried the mindset of 'anyone can become a ruler.' They might choose to lie low initially, but if pushed, they could challenge the status quo and aim for dominance.

Yuhara was still at the beginning stages. If the system hadn't bound him, he would have planned to run away. "Did I disgrace the transmigrants?" He wondered. Regardless, he knew Shisui was fast becoming his 'little fanboy.' Sometimes Yuhara considered organizing his knowledge from his previous life and sharing it with Shisui. But such an endeavor would be exhausting, and he hadn't revisited much of that knowledge in over a decade.

After a restful night, Yuhara and Shisui set out the next morning. Raiga, if stripped of certain techniques, wasn't particularly difficult to deal with. However, being a Mist ninja, he possessed the Hidden Mist Technique, which could obscure the Sharingan's vision, making Yuhara and Shisui wary. Nonetheless, Yuhara could use the Flight Technique to keep Raiga at bay, and Shisui, possibly already having the Mangekyō Sharingan, had incredible speed.

Together, they should easily handle Raiga. Arriving at the small, desolate village populated mainly by fishermen, they found no sign of their target. This puzzled both Yuhara and Shisui.

"Could he have left already?" Yuhara wondered aloud as they stood on a small hill outside the village.

"I'm not sure. The villagers confirmed Raiga was here, but who knows where he's gone now?" Shisui replied, shaking his head.

Yuhara nodded in resignation. Intelligence was only as good as its timeliness, and their information wasn't real-time. This discrepancy was common in the ninja world, requiring ninjas to be adaptable to complete their missions successfully.

"Let's wait a bit and also try to track his movements," Yuhara suggested. "You handle the tracking."

Shisui nodded and immediately set off, leaving Yuhara to wait. His demeanor made Yuhara chuckle, as Shisui seemed to see himself as a subordinate now. This wasn't a bad thing; it saved Yuhara trouble, and Shisui, being an Anbu member, was an expert tracker.

"Once Raiga is dealt with, this mission will be over, and I can proceed with my next plan," Yuhara mused. His next step involved quickly gathering support from the clan's lower ranks and, if possible, recruiting capable ninjas and elders. Two Mangekyō Sharingan wielders with a strong backing would be a formidable force.

"Hm?" Yuhara suddenly turned, sensing someone approaching. A man with green hair, carrying two peculiar swords, was heading towards the village. Noticing the Uchiha crest on Yuhara's back, the man frowned.

"An Uchiha?"

"Raiga Kurosuki?"

They simultaneously identified each other when they were ten meters apart. Yuhara hadn't expected Raiga to return so soon after Shisui left. Initially planning a two-on-one, Yuhara now faced a solo battle. Ninjas didn't adhere to samurai codes; any means necessary to eliminate the target was acceptable.

Raiga's frown deepened. "What's an Uchiha brat doing here?"

"I'm here for you," Yuhara replied with a smile. "I just want to borrow something."

Before Raiga could respond, Yuhara activated his Sharingan and instantly closed the gap between them.

"Your life..."
