Even though the attendees had mentally prepared themselves, Yuhara's words still caused an uproar among everyone present. The extent of the uproar varied, but the impeachment of a clan leader was unprecedented in Uchiha history, leaving everyone struggling to stay calm.
Fugaku's face darkened. He had expected the clan meeting to involve him but had not anticipated a motion to impeach him as clan leader. Fugaku believed that while he might not have excelled in his role, he had at least maintained a tenuous harmony between the clan and the village. He also ensured that no faction within the clan became dominant, preserving a delicate balance.
Yuhara's sudden call for his impeachment left Fugaku bewildered and questioning what agreements had been made behind his back.
"Uchiha Yuhara, do you know what you're saying?" Uchiha Hirano angrily stood up, his Sharingan activated, and his chakra flaring in readiness for combat. Others loyal to Fugaku followed suit, their Sharingans also activated, creating a tense atmosphere.
Yuhara remained calm. "Of course, I know what I'm saying. I don't need you to remind me," he said softly. "Put away your Sharingan. It's not enough to faze me. This is not your concern. Sit down."
"Uchiha Yuhara, don't think being a genius makes you special. Who do you think you are? The clan leader is beyond your judgment!" Uchiha Hachidai, a captain in the police force and a staunch supporter of Fugaku, shouted as he approached Yuhara.
"Don't think having a Three-Tomoe Sharingan gives you the right to speak out. You're just a kid. I'll show you how wrong you are," Hachidai sneered, attacking without weapons, showing some restraint but still indicating his arrogance.
In an instant, Yuhara's eyes turned crimson, his Sharingan spinning. Hachidai felt a strange power emanate from Yuhara's eyes and smirked internally. Using genjutsu on a fellow Uchiha was foolish, especially one with an active Sharingan. He believed the genjutsu would be ineffective or easily broken.
However, the next moment, Hachidai's vision blurred, and all he saw were Yuhara's crimson eyes. A dull thud echoed, and pain exploded in his chest. His consciousness snapped back to reality as he realized he was being thrown backward, crashing to the ground in defeat.
"You're in no position to judge whether I'm speaking out of turn," Yuhara said calmly, making Hachidai grit his teeth in frustration. "You also have no right to challenge me. Stay put."
"You..." Hachidai struggled to speak, his chest throbbing with pain, preventing him from forming a coherent response. He could only gasp for breath, clutching his chest.
"Enough!" Hirano couldn't hold back any longer. He charged at Yuhara, aiming a punch at his chest, avoiding direct eye contact to prevent falling into the same trap as Hachidai.
Surprisingly, Yuhara didn't move. A blue chakra shield appeared on his chest, effortlessly blocking Hirano's punch.
"It seems the 'Chakra Shield' works well," Yuhara mused. The shield, formed from his chakra, had a strength proportional to his chakra's potency, easily withstanding Hirano's attack.
"Is this all you've got?" Yuhara asked, his voice calm, making Hirano's face turn pale. Hirano tried to retreat, but Yuhara grabbed his arm, yanking him forward and driving his knee into Hirano's abdomen.
Hirano doubled over in pain, and Yuhara dislocated his arm with a swift twist, then grabbed his throat.
"Did you think I was just joking? Do you, too, wish to dance?"
