"Stop it!"
"Uchiha Yuhara, what do you think you're doing?"
"Let him go!"
Yuhara's swift defeat of Uchiha Hachidai and his grasp on Uchiha Hirano's throat immediately drew the ire of Fugaku's supporters. Many stood up quickly, surrounding Yuhara. Their crimson Sharingan eyes flickered ominously in the shrine, creating an oppressive atmosphere like a powder keg ready to explode.
Fugaku, although displeased with Yuhara's impeachment attempt, was equally dissatisfied with Hachidai and Hirano's brazen actions. Their attempt to defend him had backfired, resulting in an even bigger commotion, leaving Fugaku with no choice but to protect them despite their blunder.
Just as Fugaku prepared to intervene, he noticed Shisui and the moderates rising to their feet, along with the hardliners. Their Sharingans glowed, and their chakras began to surge, locking onto Fugaku's supporters.
"This…" Fugaku was stunned. He knew Yuhara had the support of both factions, but he had thought Yuhara was merely a figurehead for their agenda. The level of support Yuhara received far exceeded Fugaku's expectations, leaving him and his supporters at a loss.
"Don't worry, I'll let him go." Yuhara remained unperturbed by the rising tension. He had no intention of escalating the conflict further. He loosened his grip on Hirano, who gasped for air, his face turning from purple to red. Despite his anger, a hint of fear lingered in his eyes.
Turning to Shisui, Yuhara smiled. "Shisui, it's fine now. Have everyone sit down. This is a clan meeting, not a battlefield."
"Everyone, stand down. Yuhara is right. This is a clan meeting," Fugaku said, regaining his composure. "Hachidai, Hirano, go get treated. Reflect on your actions at home for the next month. You've been too reckless."
"Yes, clan leader." Despite their dissatisfaction, Hachidai and Hirano nodded, understanding the gravity of their actions. Supporting each other, they left the room, realizing Yuhara's strength was far beyond their expectations.
As everyone settled back into their seats, the shrine returned to its previous calm. Fugaku's supporters, while still resentful, now regarded Yuhara with a newfound respect. The Uchiha clan revered strength, and Yuhara's display of power commanded their attention.
"Yuhara, I apologize for what happened earlier. They were just overzealous," Fugaku sighed, addressing Yuhara earnestly. "They've left. Let's continue the meeting. You say you want to impeach me. I've tried to serve diligently as clan leader. Though I've not achieved much, I've done nothing to betray the clan. What makes me an unfit leader?"
Fugaku's calm and composed demeanor surprised Yuhara, who had expected anger or hysteria. However, the unexpected response didn't deter him.
Looking directly at Fugaku, Yuhara nodded before shaking his head. "It's undeniable that you've worked hard as clan leader. In normal times, you might have been excellent. But the current state of the Uchiha and the internal situation in Konoha... these are not normal times."
