Do I really need to swear?
[If you wish for Immortality, then you don't need blood, one oath is enough.]
Qian Xunji horrified by reading words and slowly came back to senses. He has never heard or saw anything like this. Because from his knowledge weapons or any kind of tools can't have any consciousness. Although he heard some some weapon have instinct that's why he was preparing for blood.
Qian Xunji was still cautious like what if this mirror will harm him? Or what if it is trying to possess him? He can't take any risk. [If you are prepared for oath. Then recite whatever written next and write it down.
"I, ____ a disciple of the ___ family, hereby swear:
1. I will follow all the rules and teaching of my family, adhering to their wisdom and guidance.
2. I will never show any greed, knowing it leads to downfall and destruction.
3. I will never commit evil, striving always to walk the righteous path.
4. I will keep all the secrets of the mirror from outsiders, guarding them with my life."]
Looking at the oath Qian Xunji felt little bit relieved. Because he thought there would be some kind of oaths that will harm him. But now all the oath are beneficial for him so he doesn't mind swearing them but before he need to confirm two things does mirror have any consciousness or its own thinking and second can it help his sons because he is already at the age where although he extremely wants high level cultivation but his sons comes first because they still have time for cultivation.
"Can I let my children know about it or means can you help them instead of me." As Qian Xunji asked a silver light flew from mirror and it disappeared in his head.
Qian Xunji didn't have time to react but after a shock and horrified expression he closed his eyes.
"Mirror can help you in granting spirit root seed and initial cultivation. Other then this you have to do your own things. And mirror doesn't have unlimited spirit root seeds currently it can only grant six seeds. You can choose them on your own, and choosen one can know about mirror but if tell or reveals it to any other person they will die. And before everything evryone has to swear the oath."
After absorbing the information Qian Xunji opened his eyes. He was in shock because he has never heard that a person who has no spirit roots can ever get spirit roots. If outsiders knew this thing Qian Xunji knew mirror will be safe because people want it and they will take care of it. But he and his family will not have any place even in underworld.

After that carefully cleaning out the table he mirror their and burned an incense.
After that he first wanted to take care things outside and he will be first person to try this oath in night after that only he plans to let his sons try.

"I, Qian Xunji a disciple of the Qian family, hereby swear:

Just as he recited the oath a golden and silver mixed colour light flew from the mirror.
First golden light entered in his dantian where a vein of earthly colour was dormant it was only filled one sixth of earthly colour other part was completely transparent. It means it was lowest level earth spirit root but the golden light entered in his spirit root. Earthly colour started to increase and in just seconds it became completely earthly brown colour that means Qian Xunji has Immortal grade spirit roots.
Immortal grade spirit roots doesn't mean he will reach highest level of cultivation, it's just a push that can increase his cultivation. Spirit roots have six grades if you don't have any spirit roots that means you are mortal. And after that if it is filled with one sixth part of any element than that means It is lowest grade like this Medium Grade, Top Grade, Earth Grade, Heaven Grade and lastly Immortal Grade. Cultivators can also have more than one spirit root.
A cultivator needs luck, resources, talent of spirit roots, wisdom and approval of Dao to reach highest grade.
It's just Qian Xunji has passed his age and except for little bit talent he has nothing else.
As the golden light absorbed second silver light also entered in Qian Xunji mind and a cultivation technique appeared in his mind.

As the two light entered in Qian Xunji a mysterious change occured like some kind of thing bind Qian Xunji and if he said some specific words to outsiders or to anyone other than choosen one for spirit root seeds he will die.
