The Cursed Luna
Katherine lay on her bed, staring at the ceiling. It was already midnight, and she still hadn't gotten his call. Did she mishear Astrid, or did Astrid mishear Kieran? Katherine had been anticipating his call ever since she got the phone, and right after dinner, she had sprinted up to her room and waited nervously. She had her bath, changed into her nightwear, and still, he hadn't called. She was beginning to lose hope. Maybe Astrid heard him wrong.
With a sigh, she rolled over and closed her eyes, willing herself to drift off. It was already quite late, and Astrid had told her they needed to go around the pack tomorrow.
The sudden buzzing of her phone startled her. Katherine jumped, her heart pounding hard, as she reached for the phone on her bedside table. She wasn't expecting him to call any longer; she had made up her mind that Astrid misheard him. But there it was, Kieran's name flashing on the screen.
