Chapter 4 – Rough seas

Day after day, Nora continued to live her life with her three daughters, working in a sewing factory and picking up some extra things to do at home. Life went on with a supposed promise that everything would work out even without her daughter. When she returned, Nora did not stop loving her, but she continued on her way because there were still three daughters she cared about and no one would take any more of them away from her. With Sara, the second oldest, Ane and little Julia, the four gave each other strength. Sara helped her mother with the housework and helped take care of her sisters because her mother, to supplement her income, worked in a factory during the day and in a restaurant at night. Every night, her daughters waited for their mother because she always brought them a little sweet. The years passed and the girls were already children without being completely dependent on anyone. They always did tricks and also helped their mother whenever possible. Ane, the middle daughter, always did a lot. She was the smartest daughter. She forced Nora to go to the hospital many times. She was already known by the staff. They would ask what Nora was now, an arm or a leg (laughs). Apart from that, nothing was unusual for Nora. She tried other relationships several times, but they always ended up boring. The children continued to grow up without a male figure in the home and the daughter-in-law's family was very different from other families, they preserved the dignity of men and the women were the ones who worked hard, the girls grew up with this responsibility, they were like warrior Amazons, they did everything from cutting down a simple tree to building a brick wall. Nora didn't answer because she grew up that way too and it was natural for her, they would make her daughters strong and independent, at least that's what she thought. Some time passed and Nora was with a partner again and this was younger than Nora, he was the son of a friend of Nora's, so he went to live with Nora and the girls and this caused disagreement with Nora's family because they even talked about possible abuse by her partner, Nora no longer cared because she no longer cared about what they said. Since the children never said anything, they saw their mother happy, so everything was fine, little did they know that the peace would be short-lived when Nora's mother filed a lawsuit in the Juvenile Court under the pretext that the girls were being molested by their stepfather and Nora's world once again fell apart, but this time it was different, they were not only attacking her, they were involving her daughters too, and a saga began for the mothers, it was different because she was already following the fights in the family, but none of that because her mother's partner had never done anything to them.

After some meetings and visits from the bailiff and the Affairs passed by her mother, they decided to give custody of the girls provisionally to her mother and once again Nora finds herself devastated now without her four daughters.
