Chapter 6: A History Lesson on Light & Darkness

The next morning at the Alta Castle, Hanna was getting ready for another day at school.

She woke up at 6am, brushed her teeth, washed her face and took a warm shower.

After her shower, she starts to get dressed in her school uniform.

She did her usual routine of cleaning and organizing her room, putting on her brooch on her chest and putting her moral compass in her pocket.

She packed her backpack with her school supplies, put on her backpack and fixed her long black hair into a long braided ponytail.

As she looked at her reflection in front of the mirror, she couldn't stop thinking about Aliza and that bullying incident on the first day of Krauxorth Academy.

In her mind, that horrible memory of her getting pinned against the wall in the girl's bathroom and getting beaten up by Bella and her minions still haunted her.

And, the most horrible memory that still haunts her was Aliza breaking the silver bracelet that Prince Charles gave her for her 14th birthday and she could still remember Aliza's cruel words.

'When Prince Charles returns, he'll fall in love with me and not be a fool to love a stupid, dumb, slow-witted, retarded princess like you.' Aliza had said.

Hanna held back the angry tears that were starting to flow and took a deep breath.

She didn't want to let those haunted memories ruin her 2nd day of school.

Besides, she's learning new things, made a new friend and stayed brave through her hardships. She just needed some confidence.

Her heart was beating rapidly and her anxiety was rising up.

She took a few deep breaths and said to herself, "Stay strong and positive. You can do this, Hanna!"

She slid downstairs on the banister and walked in the kitchen, where she found a bowl of fruit, including green apples, bananas, strawberries and her favorite, cloudberries, on the dining room table in the dining hall.

She grabbed a vine of cloudberries and ate them one by one, feeling a little hungry. After she saw Aliza coming downstairs, dressed in her school uniform and backpack on her back, she greeted her with a cold, harsh tone, "Good morning, dear sister, how was your sleep?"

Hanna ignored her and continued eating the cloudberries, not paying any attention to her.

Aliza grabs a green apple, throws it up in the air, catches it and takes a satisfied bite. "Why aren't you wearing your silver butterfly bracelet your boyfriend gave you?" She asked, teasing her.

Hanna just huffed angrily, her stomach doing flips. In the back of her mind, she imagined hitting Aliza with her fists.

As the Pegasi horse-drawn coach came outside of the Alta Castle gate to pick up the girls and take them to school, Hanna ignored her big sister and hopped on board in the coach and sat down on her seat and Aliza sat on the opposite side, arms folded and angrily stared at Hanna.

Finally, the coach drove off from the Alta Castle and was out of sight.

On the long ride to school, Hanna grabbed her book from her backpack and began to read silently while Aliza was looking at the view of the forest.

20 minutes later, the coach arrived at Krauxorth Academy of Magics along with other kingdom coaches and carriages.

Once Hanna and Aliza stepped out of the coach and walked up to the school entrance gate, Aliza gave her a smug look and held up her fist at Hanna, trying to scare her, but Hanna turned her head away, still holding a grudge.

The black gates magically opened and as the girls walked on school campus grounds, Aliza saw her friends, Bella, Victoria and Avery and met up with them, pushing Hanna out of her way.

Hanna walked away from her sister and decided to go sit under a tree to read her book.

While she was reading her book, she saw her new best friend, Alison, getting picked on by Bella and her friends.

Bella and her friends were playing "Hot Potato", with Alison's journal, taking turns teasing her.

"Give me back my journal, Bella!" Alison cried.

Bella read a page from Alison's journal, reading aloud as everyone gathered around and watched the action.

"Dear journal", Bella read. "Yesterday, I saw Violet Hobbs from the kingdom of Avalon. She and I were taking a lovely stroll through the Quiet Silverbell Forest, holding hands and admiring the nature around us."

Everyone burst out laughing and pointing at poor Alison, who was blushing hard and on the verge of tears.

Bella, Aliza, Victoria and Avery took turns pushing Alison around and calling her names.

Bella said, "Lesbian".

Avery said, "Dirty slut."

Victoria said, "Pussy."

Aliza said, "Whore", and she pushed Alison so hard, she fell into a puddle of mud, covered from head to toe.

Alison began to cry, while everyone took out their cameras and took pictures of her.

Hanna couldn't believe her eyes. Her best friend was getting bullied by Bella and her minions. She also couldn't believe that her only sister was a part of their clique and...she didn't have any kindness or courage to stand up to Bella!

Feeling a flush of rage, Hanna felt her heart beating rapidly, her light hazelnut brown eyes almost glowed a bright red, yellow and orange light, almost like a magical spark emitting from her brooch.

Just then, her enchanted brooch began to glow an aura of a bright, golden yellow light, surrounding her.

She gets up angrily and boldly steps up to Bella and her bullies, while her magic is beginning to grow.

Unknown to her, the magic brooch glowed and shone a bright red, yellow and orange light, almost coming to life.

Hanna felt a potent energy surrounding her as everyone saw her marching up and slowly took a few steps back, cowering in fear.

The Phoenix brooch magically came to life as it was no longer on her school uniform on her chest, but the spirit of the Phoenix came inside of Hanna's soul as the only magic she felt generated an aura of courage, like a burning passion.

Just then, everyone gasped as they saw that behind Hanna was the Phoenix spirit in its shape and form, wings and a tail, almost burning a magical fire.

She walked up to Bella and said unfazed, "Kindly return Alison's journal, now."

Bella walked up to Hanna and teased, "Or else what, you retard? You're gonna go crying to your mommy?"

Hanna wasn't afraid as the Phoenix spirit's magic was still growing inside of her and she said, "Leave Alison alone. She didn't do anything wrong and invading someone else's privacy is wrong."

Bella scoffed and laughed, along with Victoria, Avery and Aliza.

"Privacy?" Bella laughed, like a witch. "This loser is in love with another girl, she's a whore."

Alison's cheeks turned bright red as she hid behind Hanna's back. Deep down, she was fortunate and eternally grateful to have a true friend, like Hanna, to stand up against injustice and bullying.

Hanna continued, her heart beating and her clenched fists shaking, but remained calm and her voice strong, "Just because Alison loves another girl and writes down her thoughts in a journal, does NOT mean you should bully her or make her feel less important."

Bella teased, "What are you going to do, Robin Hood?"

Hanna's burning passion began to rise as the Phoenix spirit yelled a cry and suddenly, the sky ominously turned dark red and orange with yellow lightning bolts.

The Phoenix spirit rises through the sky, magically transforms into an archer's bow and arrow and swoops into Hanna's hand, her generated aura of courage growing bigger as she aims at Bella, who was holding Alison's journal.

Her eyes burning a magical fire, Hanna said, shaking her bow and arrow in her hand, "Give Alison back her journal, Princess Bella of Avalon, now, before I tell Principal Aanenson that you and your friends were bullying her!"

Without another minute, Bella, who was feeling scared and frightened at the same time, suddenly gave up and slowly gave Alison back her journal.

Hanna felt calm now.

Alison muttered, "Thank you, Bella."

The Phoenix spirit was pleased to bestow Hanna as the bearer of its magic power and the brooch and it was also impressed with her display of moral courage.

Once everything turned back to normal, the sky turned normally blue again with white, puffy clouds and the morning sun began to shine through the horizons.

As everything went quiet, the late bell rang and all of the students headed inside of the school building.

Bella and her minions ran for their lives, inside of the school building, like scared, little rabbits.

Hanna, who was suddenly shocked at her first magical ability, stood by Alison, who was crying with tears of relief. She jumped into Hanna's arms, hugging her, almost collapsing on the grass, thanking her for standing up to Bella, for her sake, in front of the whole school.

Hanna blushed. "You're welcome, Alison."

Alison's eyes widened. "How did you do that?" She asked, almost amazed.

Hanna shrugged her shoulders. "I have no idea, it just came to me."

The Phoenix spirit's bow and arrow magically transformed back into a Phoenix shaped brooch and clasped onto Hanna's school uniform vest on her chest.

Alison excused herself to go to a nearby waterfall and took a bird bath to wash the mud off her face and body.

Hanna suddenly felt drained and exhausted from that magical energy and collapsed and fainted onto the grass and as Alison raced towards her, suddenly everything around her was spinning and went to black.

When Hanna opened her eyes, she realized she was in Krauxorth Academy, in the Healing Room, sitting up on a bed with Alison and Professor Honeywell, looking worried.

Professor Honeywell gave her a checkup and said sweetly, "Are you ok, Princess Hanna, do you feel dizzy?"

Hanna nodded her head. "I'm fine, but--"

Her heart was beating rapidly, her head was pounding and her light hazelnut brown eyes were watery and red.

She began to faint again but Alison caught her in time.

Professor Honeywell thought for a moment. Then, she looked in the cabinets and saw an elixir.

She gave it to Hanna and advised, "After school, when you go home, I want you to take this tonight before you go to bed, ok?"

Hanna nods obediently. "Yes, Professor Honeywell."

Professor Honeywell smiled. "Good girl."

Alison whispers to Professor Honeywell, "What's the elixir for?"

Professor Honeywell replied, "This is just for her magical limitations."

When Hanna and Alison walked out of the Healing Room and walked in the hallways, Alison asked her, "Are you sure you're ok?"

Hanna nods her head, trying to shake off the dizziness. "I'm fine, Alison."

Alison wasn't too sure about that. By the time the late bell rang for History class, Alison and Hanna hurried to get to class, not wanting to be late.

In History of Magic class, Professor Walton, the History teacher, was teaching a history lesson on magical supreme beings, magical creatures and magic flora.

Once everyone was seated at their desks, Professor Walton said, "Hello class! Today, we'll be learning about the history of light magic and dark magic, specifically magical supreme beings."

The students were amazed.

Professor Walton waved his hand and magically conjured up a projector screen and video camera and a remote control.

He snapped his fingers and the lights magically switched off.

The classroom was dark and the windows were closed.

Once the projector screen and the video camera was turned on, there was a film showing called, "Light vs. Darkness: A History Story."

Professor Walton said, "Today, we're going to learn the historical story of Prince Johan and his long-lost brother, Prince Lucifer."

The class gasped in amazement and surprise.

Allison whispered to Hanna, "Prince Lucifer, the Prince of Darkness, has a long-lost brother, the Prince of Light."

Hanna nodded quietly.

As the classroom got quiet, the film began.

The narrator began talking as the first screen showed a scene of a beautiful, idyllic place, the kingdom of Arcadia, a heavenly realm full of magic and wonder.

"Once upon a time," the narrator began, "There lived a beautiful, enchanted kingdom, called Arcadia, where Prince Johan, a perfect, kind and intelligent young man lived in a palace above the heavens with his mother and father, who treated him with kindness and love.

When Johan was a little boy, he was happy most of the time, playing with his toys and being friends with little animals in the forest. His parents, the king and queen, showered him with love and attention, giving him food, shelter, clothing and an education. But deep down, Johan felt lonely because he would look out his bedroom window and see kids his age playing with their friends and he longed for a brother.

One Day, when he was 10 years old, his mother had a big surprise that would change his life forever; she was expecting a baby. Johan was more excited than ever! He was going to be a big brother.

9 months later, the Queen of Arcadia gave birth to a beautiful, baby boy, named Lucifer. When Lucifer grew up, he was acting strange and erratic.

Lucifer began stealing things from bazaars, lying to His parents and started bullying other kids at school and he always got away with his sins and blamed Johan for them.

Johan tried to prove his innocence in front of his parents, but the King and Queen of Arcadia never believed Him and Lucifer always had a wicked smile on his face.

Growing up, Johan was the perfect child every parent adored while Lucifer was the miscreant, always causing mischief and getting into trouble.

When Lucifer was 13 years old, one Wintry night, he was playing Dungeons and Dragons with other royal teenagers in the forest when he spotted a baby kitten trapped in a net.

The poor kitten was scared to death when she saw Lucifer. One of Lucifer's friends pulled out a slingshot from his pocket and peer pressured Him to put the kitten out of its misery.

Wanting to appear cool in front of his friends, Lucifer was tempted and about to kill the kitten when suddenly, Johan sprung into action and pushed his brother out of the way and said, "How dare you, Lucifer! Have you no shame?"

The kind Johan freed the baby kitten out of the net and the kitten was so grateful for His kindness, she licked him on his face, giving him wet kisses.

Lucifer stomped his foot angrily and walked away saying, "You will pay for this, Johan!

I hope you Rot In the fires of Hell!"

A few years later, when Johan and Lucifer were young adults, they were enrolled into Tagarth Academy Of Sorcery, a magic college for future sorcerers and sorceresses.

After 4 years of magic classes, friendship goals, extracurricular activities and exams, Johan graduated with High Honors while Lucifer graduated with Honors.

Johan had a future goal of practicing white magic to help others, become a leader and make the world a better place by being an excellent role model for his subjects and rule Arcadia with the magical power of goodness. While on the contrary, His brother, Lucifer had different goals: to create an evil world where his subjects could praise him, cause chaos and disharmony.

10,000 years later, when the King and Queen of Arcadia got fatally sick and was slowly dying, they abdicated the throne and lent Johan the responsibilities of becoming their next heir and helping the kingdom thrive.

As usual, Lucifer got extremely jealous and vowed to take vengeance on his goody-goody brother.

One night, Lucifer sneakily tiptoed in the kitchen and killed a rat, gathered its blood and gore organs, mixed it in with a blender and poured the poison in the King and Queen's cups of red wine to kill them quicker than a sickness.

Lucifer chuckled evilly and went back upstairs to bed.

The next morning, at the Arcadia palace, the Royal Family were having a royal breakfast in the dining hall. Once the King and Queen of Arcadia drank their red wine (with the rat poison), their faces went pale white, they were sweating furiously and started choking to death.

Johan was shocked and horrified. "Mother, Father!" He cried. To his horror, he saw his parents die right there in front of them, their heads thudding on the dinner table, lifeless and cold. Lucifer couldn't help but laugh evilly. Johan turned to his brother angrily, eyes narrowing. "Lucifer, how could you?! You're a psychopath!" Lucifer stopped laughing and said, "Well, you deserve it. You don't know the pain you've caused me over the years."

Johan was taken aback. "What do you mean, dear brother, what have I ever done to you?"

Lucifer scoffed sarcastically and said, "I don't know, maybe it's because you're the problem that you're so perfect and everyone loves you."

Suddenly, Lucifer had tears in his eyes and said, sobbing, "Nobody loves me; everyone thought I was the bad guy, that I caused trouble."

Feeling compassion, Johan stepped forward to give his brother a hug, but Lucifer pushed him and said, "Well, if I can't have love, then you don't deserve to be my brother!"

With that, He pulled out his wand and conjured up a ray of dark magic and striked Johan to death, making him fly across the room and fall on his back.

Johan retaliated, getting up and fighting back. He pulled out his own magic wand and conjured up a ball of fire and aimed at his brother, making Lucifer fly through a window as it crashed and he found himself outside at the Arcadia kingdom gates, struggling to get up.

As Johan sprinted outside and found his brother unconscious, he whispered in his ear, "Hope you get what you deserve."

Before he could leave, he felt a sharp pain in his leg, as he groaned and collapsed on the grass, his head spinning and his blue eyes half-closed.

Just then, a dark shadow figure hovered over Johan and chuckled evilly. "No," the dark shadow said, "It is you who will get what you deserve."

The dark shadow laid his hand on Johan's leg and a magical red glow of light began to spark as the dark shadow figure recited an incantation.

The narrator continued, "As time went on, Lucifer made it his life's mission to find people who would worship him and praise him; he found a home in the kingdom of Gehenna, the kingdom of the Underworld, where He found animals and made them his imps. His life's goal was to spread evil and cruelty and make innocent people suffer. He hired servants and stewards to obey his every command and make their lives miserable. He fell in love with a young woman named, Queen Dorothea and soon after they were married. Lucifer wanted to have children, but unfortunately, Dorothea wasn't able to conceive her own children.

Many months passed and Lucifer was still impatient with his new wife.

Lucifer paced back and forth angrily and said to her, "Why can't you get pregnant?"

Dorothea said meekly, "I'm sorry, Lucifer, but I don't know why."

Lucifer had a tick in his eye and said, almost losing his mind, "Well, since you can't conceive your own children..."

He chuckled evilly, rubbing his hands together, with a rather unusual, seductive smile on his face.

Clueless, Dorothea asked, almost frightened, "W-w-what are you doing?" She felt herself taking a few steps back, almost in fear.

Lucifer conjured up a wet towel and a long cord and stepped closer to his wife, he said, amusingly, "We're gonna have a child, one way or another."

He said evilly, "Take off your dress."

The scene fades to black and three words appear in white, "To Be Continued..."

As Professor Walton ends the history lesson, he turns to the class. The students had their jaws open, eyes widened in surprise and shock and their hearts beating fast.

"Any questions?" Professor Walton asked the flabbergasted students.

Once the bell rang for study hall period, the students bolted out of the classroom, screaming in fear, not believing what they just learned or rather, watching with their own eyes.

Hanna was the only one still in the classroom, shocked and surprised. "Oh my God." she said, incredulously. She imagined pouring a flask of bleach into her eyes, screaming in pain. Thoughts spinning in her head, she puts on her backpack and walks up to Alison, who was sleeping on her desk.

Alison stirred in her sleep, dreaming about puppies and rainbows until Hanna quietly said, "It's time for study hall."

Alison wakes up, drool coming out of her mouth, half-awake. "What, what happened? Is the movie over? Do we have any homework?"

Hanna, wanting to push back her thoughts, said quietly, "Alison, I think we need to go to the Krauxorth School Library and learn more about Prince Lucifer and his brother."

Alison yawned and said, "Well, we can go now and do some research. What was the movie about? I wasn't paying attention."

Hanna grabbed her hand and had a scared look on her face. "I think I know what happened to Queen Dorothea." she said, fearfully.

The two princesses waved goodbye to their history teacher and rushed to the Krauxorth Library.

At the Krauxorth Academy Library, during study hall period, Hanna and Alison spent hours upon hours, conducting research. They searched high and low, looking for some books and documents, finding out more information on Prince Lucifer and His long-lost brother, Prince Johan, the Prince of Light.

Hanna went to Section 8a, the aisle that contained bookshelves filling up with books on magical supreme beings and gods while Alison was searching through documents and newspaper articles. So far, they found nothing and they were starting to give up.

"Hanna," Alison said, feeling exhausted, "I'm tired and my head is spinning; we searched for hours, but there's not a single clue about Prince Lucifer and His long-lost brother."

Hanna had a determined look on her face, but she was equally tired as her. She puts on a brave face, grabbing a handful of books in her hands and setting them down on a table. "We can't give up, Alison. We have to find out what happened to Lucifer and Johan."

Alison was carrying a stack of books in her hands and stumbled, almost dropping them, but continued to hold her balance.

While she was walking around, holding the cumbersome books, she didn't notice she saw a fellow student, a 14 year old girl with a white face, light blue eyes, long blackish-blue hair styled in a long braided ponytail, wearing a friendship bracelet and a violet shaped heart necklace around her neck and round gray glasses. She was reading a book on Norse mythology, distracted and wasn't looking where she was going.

Alison stumbled and crashed into the girl as they both fell on their butts on the floor, with a thud, the books flying and falling.

The girl rubbed her temple, hurt painfully, her glasses on the ground. She blindly looks for her glasses, using her hand as a guide.

Alison was shocked and humbly apologized to the girl for her clumsiness, helping her look for her glasses. "Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry. Are you ok?"

The girl sighed. "Yeah, I'm ok." When Alison sees her glasses and gives them back to the girl, the girl cleans them with her school uniform and puts them back on her face, revealing a warm smile.

Then, Alison gasped, almost recognizing the girl. "Violet?"

Violet gasped in return. 'Hi Alison!"

Alison jumped into Violet's arms, giving her a hug, giggling. "It's good to see you."

Violet chuckled. "Same to you."

Hanna saw the two girls and rushed towards them. "Alison, I still can't find anything."

Alison scoffed. "That's ok, Han." Looking at Violet, Alison said, clearing her throat, "Um, Hanna, this is my crush, Violet Hobbs. She's from the kingdom of Avalon."

Hanna smiled and shook Violet's hand. "Hi, Violet. I'm Princess Hanna of Alta, but please call me, Hanna".

Violet smiled at her warm welcome. "Pleased to meet you."

Hanna then asked, "What are you doing here in the library?"

"I'm just reading a book for fun," Violet said.

Alison smiled then said, "We're looking for some information about Prince Lucifer and His long-lost brother, Prince Johan."

Violet just realized something and began to whisper softly, "You know, Krauxorth Academy has a school secret room full of books, film documents and newspapers about the magical deities. Be careful though; no one has ever entered that room before, it's forbidden and clandestine."

Hanna and Alison looked at each other with curious eyes then they asked her, jumping up and down, "Where is it?"

Violet whispered, "It's on the 4th floor, where the subject books are at. It's behind a bookcase that's an illusion."

Hanna and Alison's eyes lit up brightly, like Christmas lights.

"Perfect," Alison said, enthusiastically. "We'll figure out their past and learn more about them."

"Thanks, Violet!" Alison kissed her crush on the cheek, grabbed Hanna's hand and rushed to the 4th floor, leaving Violet blushing.

Meanwhile, on the 4th floor, Hanna and Alison looked for the secret room Violet mentioned earlier, but there was no sign of the bookcase.

They were about to run out of time; the study hall period was about to be over in 20 minutes.

Hanna stumbled upon a dusty, old bookcase with dusty, old books and encyclopedias.

She examined the bookcase closer. When she saw that the bookcase was magically a hologram, she saw through a magical door with a keyhole that was shaped into a phoenix.

'Eureka!' She thought. 'This must be the Krauxorth Academy secret room!'

"Alison," she said, "I found it."

The two princesses pushed the bookcase so hard towards the left, it revealed a magical door that led to a mysterious room that had a red stop sign with the words, "Keep Out!" written in red paint.

The only trouble was, they had no key to the door. The two girls began to think, trying to come up with a creative solution.

How are they going to open the door?

Hanna looked down at her brooch on her vest of her school uniform.

Just then, she had an idea.

She takes off her brooch and holding it in her hands, she summons her magic. She commanded the Phoenix brooch with a whisper, "Turn into a Phoenix shaped key."

The Phoenix brooch obeyed and a bright, magical golden yellow light shone, dazzling the windows and doors of the entire library.

The Phoenix brooch magically shapeshifted into a golden yellow and red key, the perfect size for the keyhole.

As Hanna puts the key in the keyhole, the key turns and unlocks the door. The secret door creaked open wide, showing darkness.

Feeling dread, the Valhallian and Altanian princesses looked at each other, fearing for the worst.

"Are you ready to find out the truth," Alison asked her best friend, "This is our chance?"

Hanna gulped hard. She had to admit, she was nervous, but decided to gather up all of her courage and go for it. "Let's do this," she said.

Holding hands, the two brave girls walked inside of the dark, dusty room, full of cobwebs and danger.

When the girls entered the secret room, the Phoenix key magically transforms back into the brooch and puts back onto Hanna's school uniform.

Hanna and Alison looked around the room, hearts beating fast and sweat coming out of the pores of their skin.

The room looked old and dusty; full of spiders, cockroaches, cobwebs, thousands of books were on tables and desks, there was a lava lamp on a desk, shelves of books and broken glass were displayed, pictures of foreign Princess Warriors were hanging on the walls, along with the walls peeling off, a stench of gas, combined with body odor and dead bodies lingered around the atmosphere, making the room smell unbearable.

Hanna and Alison held their noses and breath, trying to suppress the stench as they continued to walk around.

As Hanna held her breath, she saw something that caught her eye: on a blue wall, there was cracks that emitted red liquid and she saw a horrific picture of Prince Lucifer as a young man, possibly in His early 30's, hiding a sword behind his back, he was near a forest, going to kiss a young former Princess Warrior while planning on molesting and killing her and selling her soul for ransom.

As she continued walking, she went through a passageway that had a gallery of pictures of young Prince Lucifer doing horrible, terrible things to former Princess Warriors: committing genocide, whipping them to death using a cord, stripping them naked and whipping them while they were doing chores.

It was almost like the pictures were telling a story of Lucifer's dark past.

Hanna saw a picture of Lucifer throwing a young Princess Warrior in His dungeon, beating her to death and striking her while starving her to death, giving her no food, water or warm clothes.

Her light, hazel-nut brown eyes were filled with tears, feeling compassion for the former Princess Warriors. Then, she saw a picture of Lucifer feeding a former Princess Warrior a plate of dead mice and its gorey organs and drinking urine from a cup. Hanna's stomach twisted in knots as she gazed upon the picture with disgust and horror. Feeling nauseous, she held her tummy and covered her mouth with her hand.

What terrified her the most was when she saw a picture of Lucifer at Gehenna Castle, in his throne room, naked and molesting a young girl, who appears to be...

Hanna gasped in fear. 'No', she thought to herself. 'It can't be her.'

To her horror, she saw that Lucifer used black magic to molest none other than Queen Dorothea, who appeared to be 10 years old at that time.

Hanna covered her mouth with her hands, shocked and horrified.

Heart beating as fast as a snare drum, she raced out of the hallway and saw Alison, holding a photographic film wheel in her hands.

"Alison", she said, terrified, "You'll never believe what I just saw."

Alison heard her best friend's shaky voice and caught her breath. "I just found out that Lucifer has a deep, dark past. Look."

She waves her hand and magically conjures up a screen projector, a film recorder, a remote control and popcorn...just in case they get hungry.

As she magically puts on the film wheel in the film camcorder, the film begins, showing a scene of the kingdom of Gehenna long ago.

Hanna and Alison sat down at a desk and watched the film, eager to learn more about Prince Lucifer and His long-lost brother, Prince Johan.

The narrator began, telling the story.

"Once upon a time," the narrator continued, " In the kingdom of Gehenna, after Princess Dorothea grew up to be 13 years old, going through puberty, she was 10 weeks pregnant and gave birth to a newborn baby girl named, Marinette, but she wasn't able to survive after her birth. After conscious thinking, Dorothea decided to have an abortion, which felt like the hardest thing she could've ever done. After the abortion, Dorothea sank into a deep depression that led her to not eat for weeks and drink water for 8 weeks. By the time she was 18 years old, she was sick and tired of her depression and pain. She went into her room, locked herself in, grabbed a pocket knife and decided to slit her wrist, as dark crimson blood began oozing out, causing her to faint and lose consciousness.

Lucifer took this opportunity to transform into His demonic form and molest her again, hoping to have another child.

Meanwhile, in the kingdom of Arcadia, Prince Johan was in His throne room, standing in front of the window, contemplating.

One of His servants, a steward named Edward, was bringing him a cup of tea with a tray of brownies with walnuts.

He bowed and said, "Your Majesty, may I ask, what are you thinking about?"

Johan sighed solemnly. "Lucifer, my long-lost brother, has abandoned me; He wanted to rule the 7 Norse kingdoms using His dark magic to create chaos and evil."

He continued, "I, however, wanted to rule the 7 Norse kingdoms with the magic of goodness and love."

As he gazed upon the window, the narrator continued, "Johan wanted to keep the 7 Norse kingdoms protected from His evil brother, so He used his white magic and created a magic wall between His land and Lucifer's, creating a giant magic barrier, and a wall of mist that separated across the Quiet Silverbell Forest, forbidding anyone, human folk or mystical creature from entering the forest, as a means of protecting His subjects from evil."

The narrator continued, "For centuries, magic has been evolved and protected; Prince Johan conjured up a long bridge across from the kingdom of Arcadia."

Hanna and Alison looked at each other with worried faces.

Before the narrator could finish the story, the girls were startled by the 3rd period class late bell ringing loudly.

Hanna asked, "What time is it?" Alison looked at her watch. Her eyes almost popped out of her head.

"It's 12:00 pm, it's time for Alchemy class!" she said, alarmed.

While Alison quickly puts away the film projector screen, camcorder and film wheel, Hanna quickly grabs papers, drawings and documents and puts them in her backpack.

The two girls rushed out of the secret room, closed the door and hurried to Alchemy class.

What Hanna didn't realize was that some of the drawings fell loose from her backpack, revealing a drawing of a detailed Phoenix, emitting an orange bright light glowing, foreshadowing her prophecy as a new Princess Warrior is about to begin…
