THE ACCIDENT

Nikky found herself in a lavishly decorated hall, its grandeur accentuated by crystal chandeliers casting a warm glow over the crowd. The air was filled with the excitement of Mike's fans, their voices blending into a harmonious buzz. As Mike approached her, she instinctively took a step back, her heart pounding in her chest. His presence was magnetic, drawing her in despite her hesitation.

"Hey, Nikky," Mike said, his voice smooth and captivating. His eyes locked onto hers, and for a moment, the world around them seemed to blur.

Nikky felt a mix of awe and anxiety. She had admired Mike from afar, never imagining she'd be this close to him. But here he was, right in front of her, smiling warmly.

"Hi, Mike," she managed to reply, her voice trembling slightly.

Without another word, he gently took her hand, pulling her into the crowd. She followed, feeling a strange blend of reluctance and exhilaration. As they reached the dance floor, the music swelled, and Mike led her in a dance. They moved energetically, their bodies in sync, the rhythm of the music mirroring the rapid beat of her heart. Each step, each twirl, felt like a dream.

Despite the vibrant atmosphere, there was an intimate quality to their dance. Mike's touch was gentle yet firm, his eyes never leaving hers. As they danced, Nikky felt a surge of emotion, a blend of joy and nervousness. The crowd around them cheered, their voices rising in a chant.

"Just kiss her!" they shouted, their enthusiasm palpable.

Mike leaned in, his face inches from hers. Nikky's breath caught in her throat, her eyes fluttering closed in anticipation. She could feel his breath on her skin, the moment electric with possibility. Then, suddenly, a sharp pain shot through her arm, yanking her from the dream. Her eyes flew open as cold water drenched her.

"Oh my gosh!" she exclaimed, blinking rapidly to clear the shock. She turned to see Sunny standing beside her bed, a mischievous grin on her face, holding an empty glass.

"How could you do this to me?" Nikky demanded, her voice a mix of anger and disbelief.

"Why are you behaving like this?" Sunny teased, her tone playful but her eyes twinkling with mischief.

"You ruined everything!" Nikky lamented, grabbing a pillow and hurling it at Sunny. Sunny caught it effortlessly, laughing.

"Don't provoke me now," Nikky warned, rolling her eyes in frustration. "I need to go back to sleep. Maybe I can catch up with Mike."

"Wait! Don't you know about the event today?" Sunny asked, her tone shifting to something more serious.

"What event? I told you not to annoy me," Nikky snapped, irritation clear in her voice.

"Okay, I'm sorry, but..." Sunny began, only for Nikky's impatience to cut her off.

"What now?" Nikky demanded, sitting up in bed, her eyes flashing with annoyance.

"Today is the reunion," Sunny revealed, her voice softening.

"What?" Nikky exclaimed, leaping out of bed. "Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Her mind raced as she thought about the implications. "Just wait for me here. I'll be right back. Give me two minutes," she said hurriedly, rushing to the bathroom.

Inside, she leaned against the sink, her heart still pounding from the dream. She stared at her reflection in the mirror, taking deep breaths to calm herself. The reunion. She had been looking forward to it for weeks, but in the haze of her dream, she had completely forgotten.

Nikky, a quirky and eccentric young woman, had always been different. Her room was a testament to her unique personality, with posters of Mike plastered on the walls, interspersed with fairy lights and colorful trinkets. She had harbored a crush on Mike for years, dreaming of one day becoming his wife. Her friends often teased her about it, but she didn't care. To her, Mike was more than just a celebrity. He was a symbol of all her hopes and dreams.

As she hurriedly brushed her teeth and splashed water on her face, the reality of the reunion began to sink in. It was an opportunity to reconnect with old friends, to reminisce about the past and create new memories. But it also meant facing the insecurities she had tried to bury. What if they hadn't changed? What if they still saw her as the quirky girl who daydreamed about a celebrity?

She shook her head, pushing those thoughts aside. She couldn't let her doubts ruin the day. After quickly getting dressed, she returned to her room, where Sunny was waiting patiently.

"Okay, I'm ready," Nikky announced, grabbing her purse.

Sunny looked at her, a smile playing on her lips. "You look great, Nikky. Don't worry so much."

"Thanks," Nikky replied, managing a small smile. "Let's go."

At Mike's mansion, Secretary Kate attempted to dissuade him from leaving in his current state.

"What! Are you crazy?" Mike snapped, questioning her authority. "Who even hired you? That person must be as crazy as you. But I will take care of that today because you're fired," he declared, dismissing her pleas.

"Ple-please, sir," Secretary Kate sobbed, falling to the floor.

"I need my job, sir," she pleaded tearfully, clutching at his legs. Mike callously kicked her hands away and left her behind, striding angrily to his car and driving off in a fit of rage.

Meanwhile, Nikky and Sunny hurried to the beach where the reunion was being held. Nikky was thrilled to reconnect with old classmates, sharing drinks and laughter.

"Sunny, I need some fresh air. I'll be right back," Nikky announced before stepping away, with Sunny following.

"I wonder how you managed it," Sunny remarked as they walked.

"Managed what?" Nikky inquired.

"How you didn't have a school crush," Sunny noted.

"I did," Nikky whispered.

"Oh, tell me. But how did I not know about this crush of yours?" Sunny wondered.

"You do know him," Nikky responded cryptically. "It's Mike," she revealed, prompting surprise from Sunny.

"Oh, that Mike," Sunny remarked. "Can't you just forget about him? You're taking this too far. Date real guys," she suggested.

"What did you just say?" Nikky questioned.

"Um, nothing," Sunny replied, evading the subject.

"Fine then," Nikky said dismissively, walking away, leaving Sunny behind.

"I don't know what to do with her," Sunny mumbled to herself.

Nikky bent down to pick up a seashell, only to find herself surrounded by a group of young men. Panicked, she attempted to flee, but they blocked her path. Dodging them, she managed to escape, running towards the road where an oncoming car collided with her, causing her to fall to the ground, blood pooling around her.
