Yangyuan Seal

The True Yang Technique is different. When the True Yang energy reaches its limit, it transforms into liquid and sinks into the dantian, essentially clearing the meridians, allowing for continued cultivation. This means that cultivating this technique does not encounter a limit; as long as there is Yang energy, it can be cultivated indefinitely.

This is the second difference, further highlighting the extraordinary nature of the True Yang Technique.

Once Yang liquid is cultivated, it can be used in battle to launch attacks.

After contemplating for a moment, Yang Kai decided to cultivate the True Yang Technique.

Firstly, he had no other choice; without contribution points, he could not obtain martial techniques from the sect. Secondly, he believed that anything produced by the black book would not be inferior. The martial techniques in the sect might not necessarily be better than the True Yang Technique.

As for the cultivation environment, it was not a major concern. The sun is also Yang energy, and as long as there is sunlight, the True Yang Technique can be cultivated, although the efficiency is low.

After all, the sun shines on the whole world; how much can one person absorb?

With his decision made, Yang Kai immediately went outside, sat cross-legged in the sunlight, and closed his eyes. He focused on the operation route of the True Yang Technique, trying to control the only strand of inner energy in his dantian and circulate it according to the technique.

Starting is always difficult. Although Yang Kai could communicate with that strand of inner energy, trying to move it was extremely arduous.

After a whole day of cultivation under the scorching sun, the inner energy in his body increased only slightly, and its flow was as slow as a crawling turtle. However, for a first attempt, Yang Kai was already very satisfied with such results.

This is a process of accumulation over time, not something that can be achieved overnight. Yang Kai never lacked patience.

After three days of effort, Yang Kai finally managed to guide the inner energy from his dantian to his chest. With a thought, he controlled this not-so-powerful strand of inner energy to shuttle between several key acupoints near his chest.

He needed to form a Yang Source Seal in his body as per the information obtained from the black book, which was the first step in cultivating the True Yang Technique.

The Yang Source Seal has no other function but to sense the presence of Yang energy. Given Yang Kai's limited experience and weak strength, he had not yet formed his own spiritual sense and could not detect where Yang energy was concentrated on a large scale.

However, the Yang Source Seal was different. It was extremely sensitive to Yang energy, and as long as there was Yang energy within a certain range, the seal would react.

The strand of inner energy shuttled incessantly near his chest, and Yang Kai maintained a meticulous expression, not daring to be careless. Condensing the Yang Source Seal was a complex and tedious process, and any mistake could render all efforts futile.

An hour passed, then two. Yang Kai, sitting under the sun, was drenched in sweat. Long hours of sweating even caused some signs of dehydration, and his lips turned pale. Yet, his expression remained resolute as he continued to guide the inner energy through the acupoints in his chest, without a trace of impatience or discouragement.

After an indeterminate amount of time, Yang Kai suddenly felt a strange sensation in his chest, followed by a sharp pain as if a red-hot iron had branded his flesh.

Yang Kai abruptly opened his eyes, gritting his teeth to endure the pain.

The pain came swiftly and receded just as quickly. In the blink of an eye, the area on his chest returned to normal, even feeling a bit cool, though the intense pain still echoed in his mind, causing him to shudder.

Vaguely, Yang Kai felt something had formed in his chest, but upon looking down, he saw nothing.

Had the Yang Source Seal formed? Yang Kai frowned, pondering. The seal should have successfully formed in the center of his chest, though it was invisible to the naked eye.

Since the seal had formed, it should react to Yang energy, but why was there no response?

Could it be that there was no concentrated Yang energy nearby?

With this thought, Yang Kai stood up and walked towards the inner part of Lingxiao Pavilion, all the while paying attention to any movements in his chest.

Before long, a warmth spread from his chest, causing Yang Kai to quiver with excitement!

Indeed, the Yang Source Seal had formed. The lack of response earlier was due to the absence of significant Yang energy nearby. Now, the reaction indicated the presence of Yang energy.

Yang Kai was elated. Cultivating the True Yang Technique required a specific environment, and the denser the Yang energy, the faster the cultivation. Relying solely on the sun was undoubtedly the slowest method.

Following the direction indicated by the Yang Source Seal, Yang Kai sprinted and soon burst into a room.

As soon as he entered, a familiar voice greeted him: "Oh, Xiao Yang Kai, what brings you here at this hour?"

Looking up, Yang Kai saw Manager Meng behind the counter, looking at him curiously.

It turned out to be the Contribution Hall!

After glancing at Manager Meng, Yang Kai looked towards the rear hall of the Contribution Hall, rolling his eyes. The source of the Yang energy was clear; it must be something in the Contribution Hall's warehouse with Yang attributes.

However... it was the Contribution Hall. If he wanted it, he would need contribution points to exchange for it. Yang Kai currently had zero contribution points, having spent them all on the Three-leaf Residual Soul Flower and the Desolate Wooden Grass!

Realizing this, Yang Kai was immensely disappointed. He didn't even bother to respond to Manager Meng and left dejectedly.

"What's the meaning of this?" Old Man Meng was instantly baffled.

Aimlessly wandering around Lingxiao Pavilion, the Yang Source Seal in Yang Kai's chest occasionally activated, guiding him to sources of Yang energy. However, these sources were either in the residences of the sect's leaders or already possessed by others.

Yang Kai even considered robbery, but looking at his small frame and others' strength, he had to abandon the thought.

Despite not obtaining any Yang-attributed treasures, Yang Kai did not come away empty-handed. Through repeated trials and experiences, he found that the Yang Source Seal could sense Yang energy within fifty zhang. Beyond that range, the seal could not detect anything. This limitation was likely related to his current strength, and as his power grew, the seal's sensing range would probably expand.

After wandering around Lingxiao Pavilion for two or three hours and exploring almost the entire sect except for some restricted areas, Yang Kai still found nothing. He realized that these valuable items, detectable by the Yang Source Seal, were not left lying around for him to pick up. His previous thoughts seemed naive and laughable.

Should he venture to Black Wind Mountain again? There must be Yang-attributed items in that mountain range, right?

Just as he was considering the feasibility of this idea, the Yang Source Seal in his chest suddenly heated up again, and Yang Kai instinctively followed the direction indicated by the seal.
