Battle in Yaran

Song and Stefam immediately made their way to the battlefield. The confrontation with the red-haired man was just one of many heated skirmishes as the attacking forces had penetrated Yaran from different positions, stretching the Tasviller forces thin. Reports from Gohnn indicated that it wasn't just Yaran under attack, but the other cities and regions as well, preventing any reinforcements from reaching them.

Fortunately, while Song confronted the red-haired man, the reinforcements that Gohnn had spoken about earlier had finally moved in and joined the defensive efforts, easing the pressure of their comrades. However, even with the reinforcements, the Tasviller forces were still under pressure from the joint forces of the four invading nations.

What made the situation even more difficult was the necessity to protect and evacuate civilians. This task was easier said than done, as the invaders didn't give them a moment's breath, attacking them relentlessly. Many civilians, gripped by fear and ran about in panic, ignoring the efforts of the soldiers trying to help them which made them fall prey to stray attacks, killing them on the spot. This chaos made it extremely difficult for the Tasviller forces to control the situation, while countering the invaders.

Even as it was a multi-directional attack, the main streets beyond the Haven, which was one of the most populated civilian areas, seemed to be where most of the invading forces were focused. This highlighted the invaders clear intent; 'genocide.'

Beams of light in various colors flew through the air in different directions as soldiers from both sides fired at each other with weapons similar to the one Stefam had used earlier, but these ones were larger and required both hands to hold and aim. The different coloured beams fired indiscriminately created a deadly light show.

Sounds of explosions thundered through the air, screams of pain and agony filling the air with a haunting resonance. In a short amount of time, the area had turned into a chaotic expanse of smoke, fire and bodies, the stench of blood and burning flesh overwhelming.

When Stefam and Song arrived at the battlefield, Stefam stood shocked for a moment as he stared at the destruction and massacre caused by the invaders. His heart ached as he saw bodies of their men lying on the ground lifelessly, even more so at the sight of the bodies of the helpless civilians. Stefam's pain shifted to a cold anger, a seething unforgiving anger. Song looked with a calm expression, but the feeling he gave off suggested otherwise. His usually calm blue aura was flickering wildly like flames on his body.

Song and Stefam immediately joined the fray. Stefam didn't hold anything back and wove through signs, his fingers a blur. Following Stefam's action a series of circles appeared in the air. Beams of light shot out of the circles, impaling the enemy soldiers through their skulls, killing them immediately. Song dived straight into the battlefield and began a merciless slaughter. The morale of the Tasvillers soared to the sky when they saw Song and Stefam join the attack. Blood pumped vigorously through their veins as their efforts doubled. They pressed the invading forces with newfound vigor.

As soon as Song and Stefam arrived at the battlefield, the overwhelming pressure on the Tasviller soldiers lifted significantly. Stefam's light spells proved invaluable, as he took down numerous enemies simultaneously with each attack. Song's blade flashed with deadly efficiency. With every slash, a head will fly, and with every dash, numerous soldiers fall to their deaths. Blue arcs cleaved through the air, splitting enemy soldiers in two or leaving them grievously injured. Song dealt with the opponents with cold brutality, underscoring his lethal proficiency and experience.

At some point, it looked like Stefam had joined the protection efforts. The civilians recognised their Prince and clustered around him. Stefam's presence stabilized the situation, calming the frantic populace. His presence seemed to reassure them, making them feel protected and willing to cooperate.

Stefam was a beloved figure among the general populace due to his warm and kind demeanor, even towards ordinary citizens. His rare light affinity further contributed to his immense popularity, earning him the nickname, "the Prince of light,'' son of the "Sky's wrath," among the people.

The battlefield was still a mess of bodies, smoke and fire, but with Song and Stefam leading the counterattack efforts, hope began to flicker in the hearts of the Tasvillers. Maybe, just maybe, they might emerge victorious in this, despite the odds being against them. They fought with rugged determination, knowing their leaders were with them, fighting for their home and people.

Their momentum threatened to see them through all the way, putting their enemies on the back foot, despite their advantage in numbers. Until it came to an abrupt end, when a figure, or rather, figures, suddenly began to tear through the Tasvillers.

The sudden shift in advantage caused the Song to pause his actions, and observe the reason for the change. His expression hardened upon witnessing the scene. There, ahead of him, a massive figure emerged from the smoke and debris.

He wore a Gamundan military uniform of black with the usual blue lines on it, wielding a giant ax, suitable for a man of his size. Song recognised him as a fellow Suguden immediately, at first glance.

Not too far from him was another Soldier, this one in the uniform of Lenbur. Stefam would have recognised him as one of the men that had surrounded him earlier, who said that the red haired man had no command over him. He had no weapons on him, but his hands released a chilling blue steam.

These two individuals wreaked havoc where they were, dismantling the organization of the Tasviller forces, giving the invaders room to capitalize on. Song knew that they both would be troublesome and he couldn't take care of them on his own. One was hard enough, especially the man with the ax, not to talk of two.

He quickly went over to Gohnn's position. "Ghonn, those two are going to be a serious problem. can you handle the Lenburian man over there?" Song asked while gesturing towards the man with a nod.

Gohnn looked towards the man with a calm expression and responded. "I should be able to, as long as the other doesn't interfere."

"Don't worry, I'll handle that one." Song assured Gohnn.

"Alright Master Song," I'll leave him to you. Gohnn said as his entire focus bore down on the Lenburian.

Song went towards his own target, a cold glint flashing in his eyes as he took a breath to calm his raging nerves.
