Ludwig's entire body still throbbed with pain from the earlier blow, delivered by the Gamundan. His arms felt numb, almost as if they were foreign to him. Each attempt he made to move his limbs was met with stubborn refusal.
Normally, in such a situation he wouldn't have been able to budge an inch, let alone continue fighting. But Ludwig had a trick that played to his advantage in that situation; his control over lightning. The lightning acted as a forceful defibrillator, shocking his muscles back to action, reigniting movements in what should have been immobilized limbs.
Until Ludwig was sure he couldn't feel that earlier numbing feeling on his hands, he would have to keep using the electrical discharges from his lightning to force his movements, but simple as he made the process look, it was extremely difficult, and it required a massive amount of concentration. Any minor error or slip up could end up in a major disaster for him.
