I could tell he was watching my slow small steps backwards, observing my every move with a keen eye. I knew I had a big predator on my tail, the way he smiled as I started to walk backwards every so slowly, backing away from him, moving out of his way as my dark skirts clung to my legs like a second skin. My lips were dry and parched like I needed water all of a sudden from a fountain.
He turned away at that moment, dismissing me as he walked over to the others. I could finally breathe, watching them with a smile on my face, my mind puzzling the pieces together from a map as I walked away confused.
All I needed to do now was escape and head on home, and that was miles and miles for me to walk in this terrible wet weather, away from, Prince Charming plus those breath taking-blue eyes of his. Reaching inside my side pocket, I managed to pull out my old music tape. Placing my ear buds into my ears, walking forwards and hitting play, smiling as I sang to Flare and Tear, now my new tune:
This is Number one
And I've realised you're not that silly or dumb
So, our journey has just begun
And we're not going to be chums
Flare and tear will be fuelled
So, my hands will protect the world
You're my flare to my tear
So, if you want a war flare
Come at me if you dare because I'll rip them out with my tears
I will bring you down to your knees as you show me all your fears
And that gave me other ideas. smiling at the nick-name. Flares, thinking that it suited him for being such a so-called idiot, but sexy Prince, I would be the tear, thinking the song was fitting for us both. hoping that these men would get the message through my odd but strange song, because it would be good if I had a mic so I could sing louder, looking up to the sky with a sweet smile, watching the remaining few stars as they whizzed through the twilight sky that were still visible to the human eyes, smiling with relief that I was finely off home even if they were outdoor tents.
Hoping nothing else could happen this night as time went on. But if I had to guess this wasn't over by a long shot and I was getting a very strange feeling in my bones that I was about to be followed. My senses tingled, telling me this to. The stars were still twinkling though the night, a perfect view for walking home in.
The air was even fresher than it had been in a lone time, at least it stopped raining for now. Leaving me with the Prince and his crew of men as they followed behind me, I was hoping that they would leave me alone and walk away
…or so I would have thought.
watching her as I followed through with our plan, monitoring this odd situation, this ordinary woman from a distance. But I knew there was something strange about this calculation, because her timing was incredibly timed with our own but there was no bright sun light in her eyes like joe had said earlier that night, so it would have been a missed opportunity in my book that I had been up on the roof when that happened, but I would have like to see what joe had seen.
I was glad my commander was by my side; this would have been another missed opportunity for us as we sat back and watched everything from a distance then we suddenly heard the sound of woman's strange words. I didn't want to leave this beautiful creature, but the words suddenly stopped me in my tracks.
"What were the odds of an ordinary girl like this singing such beautiful but odd
words?" It made me wonder who the words were for," did this make me look silly or dumb, just like the song sung. However, I had work to do and be done.
"I wonder," pondering out loud, looking over to Cody from the roof tops in the dark as we flew to the next level of the building.
"This woman came out of, nowhere didn't she?" and was walking down the streets alone at some point tonight, right?" I frowned, like I was trying to work out a new map that was right in front of me, it has been a mile or so now and she's still wasn't nowhere near her destination.
"The thought that we might have been played by the very same woman? "That thought just made me so angry, but I was still pondering why she was this far out. "Perhaps she went to see her mother and father?" I replied, watching Cody land near me. Noticing that she had a strong but soft voice as I listened to her sing to her hearts content.
"Do you like this woman?" my commander asked smiling, mimicking back at what I was doing, watching me as I sprinted to the next building and jumped, my black wings flapping in the night wind as we flew on and on. smiling at my friends' odd comments, finding him amusing and making me laugh.
He didn't even give me enough time to answer that question, looking down to see if the woman was still in front of us and that she was still ok. I didn't know why I felt a little protective over her, making me smile once again, remembering her little stutter while her voice wobbled as she stared up at me speechless as I spoke to her. Those, darn dark green eyes of hers flashing back at me in puzzlement, like I was looking into the ocean full of moving sea water.
I couldn't help but stare back, digging deeper into the wide deep depths of them eyes, seeing nothing but trouble and mayhem in there, thoughts of swimming in lengths that I wouldn't have been able to control, I would have drowned if I swam to fast and to deeply, only for our stare down to finely end in the pools of her eyes as they widened in surprise when I suddenly stopped in front of her.
I was a block over now, watching as my friend landed next to me. His wings fluttering away as he spread them out wide behind him.
"Don't you think it's a little weird?" I muttered still keeping an eye on the woman below, pointing down to her as we kept our distance. "That she should show up as the blue haired woman disappeared on us?"
Well, you have your suspicions and I can't blame you when you put it like that, can't fault you on your doubts at all man. Most of the time you have even proved me right on occasion. But why aren't we arresting her if you feel like it's her? my commander finished my thoughts for me. "As I've already stated, we need proof and this woman is completely different to the other one that we have been chasing," I uttered.
Though I wouldn't admit that even to myself, this woman intrigued me in every sense of the word. "If they are both the same women," he smirked, "then I think we had better watch our own backs, not to mention the fact that we would have our work cut out for us, "even if it's her. Because she's done one hell of a number on us, I said at last.
"You mean for you?"Cody laughed interrupting my thoughts once again tonight.
Making me snigger as I looked over at him. loving it when my friend laughed out loud even making me feel happy for once. "You know I like a challenge just like you do!" I smiled, "and so do you my friend, she's like a breath of fresh air for me, I've never known a woman to have such a potty mouth like her
before, and if she is her?"
You know... "This blue haired woman!" it would only make it more of a challenge to put my claim on her.
So, what are we going to do about this one exactly?" Cody asked watching me as I turned back to face the woman, while she sang her head off, Cody seemed interested as well as me as we watched her together. frowning as I observed her body's odd movements as she suddenly swung to the side, yet she still turned another corner to face what was ahead of her.
"That was strange?" I muttered; did you just see what I just seen?" I think we just might have our pray, tapping him on the shoulder smiling. "I'm going to watch her for now my friend?" Let's see where Madam Moselle takes off to first.
Maybe we can see where she lives first, then see what happens from there. Yeah?" Cody
replied laughing...
"By the gods man!" ... You do like her, "Don't You?" I gave him one of my most frustrating looks as if to say what the HELL man, hoping it would be enough to drop any man from its perch, hoping to watch the man splatter for his stupid comments.
"However, I would rather die first, before I would even consider hurting one of my best friends, couldn't do that to him, "Well, if she's the same person that we are looking for I finely muttered, then she in for one hell of a shock of her life. Smirking, "I'm going to play a little game with the little woman!"
She did the same to me back there."Pay back sucks man," Cody laughed, smiling his
expression now forced, the shock on his face was too odd for me to handle so I turned away pretending not to notice. Cody laughed out hard into the night watching the remaining birds as they flew away from the noise.
