Chapter 12 The Fighting King

"You are..."

When Fang Bing heard Liang Jingxian calling her "Ms. Fang," her fine eyebrows slightly knit together as she looked at Liang Jingxian several times but couldn't recognize him.

"I'm Liang Jingxian. From Zhiyun Middle School, I was in the junior division, you were in the senior division. I also fought with some guys from Yang Tao's class..."

"Liang Jingxian? Oh, you're that fight king."

In Zhiyun County, there are three high schools in total, namely Zhiyun First High School, Second High School, and one called Zhiyun Middle School.

Both Fang Bing and Liang Jingxian attended Zhiyun Middle School.

Zhiyun Middle School was divided into junior and senior divisions, and Liang Jingxian completed both middle and high school there.

When Fang Bing was in eleventh grade, Liang Jingxian was in seventh grade. Back then, she was a celebrity of the school, with excellent grades and impressive athletic performance, and was even the president of the student council.

Liang Jingxian was also a well-known figure at Zhiyun Middle School, but not for his academic performance. Instead, he was fierce in fights. There was an incident where some high school boys bullied his classmates, and Liang Jingxian, all by himself, beat up those high school boys, making him a legend in the whole school.

Fang Bing got to know Liang Jingxian when she was resolving these disputes.

"What fight king? It's just that Yang Tao and his pals were bullying my classmates. What I did was stand up for justice. After that, I never fought again," said Liang Jingxian, feeling awkward that in Fang Bing's memory, his image was limited to that of a fight king.

"Of course, after you beat up a group of older students by yourself, who would dare to fight you?" Fang Bing, reminded of her school days, couldn't help laughing.

She had a rather good impression of Liang Jingxian. Although he had the reputation of being the fight king, he didn't actually fight much and was someone with a sense of loyalty.

"It's been so many years, and you've changed so much, I didn't recognize you at all."

"Ms. Fang hasn't changed much though, just as beautiful as back in the day."

"Haven't seen you for over a decade, your mouth has gotten so sweet. You must have been flattering girls a lot, haven't you?" Fang Bing said with a light smile, flipping her long hair and sitting down on a stool.

"Not at all, I'm just speaking the truth. Ms. Fang, you really are beautiful. Back in school, you were the goddess in the eyes of all the boys," Liang Jingxian blurted out.

"Alright, keep flattering me like that, and I still won't be able to give you a discount." Fang Bing's cheeks turned slightly red as she gave him a glare.

In her eyes, Liang Jingxian was still the same bratty kid from back then, and being called beautiful in such an exaggerated manner by a brat felt a bit odd to her.

Liang Jingxian wholeheartedly agreed and nodded, "Of course, personal relationships are personal, and business is business. They should not be confused with each other."

"Come on, what kind of relationship do I have with you?" Fang Bing rolled her eyes at him and said.

"Hehe, Ms. Fang, saying that hurts my feelings," Liang Jingxian said with a smile.

"Enough of the chatter. Tell me, what do you plan to do with this store you've rented?" Fang Bing became serious.

"I'm planning to open a crayfish restaurant, specializing in selling crayfish," Liang Jingxian said.

"Sell crayfish? Here in Zhiyun County, oh no, I should say, throughout Junyang City, crayfish don't have much of a market. Aren't you afraid of losing money?" Fang Bing said in astonishment.

"The crayfish I make are good, everyone who has tried them says so. I shouldn't lose money," Liang Jingxian said confidently.

Fang Bing glanced at the store and her face showed a sad expression. Clearly, the store had taken much of her effort and she was truly reluctant to hand it over.

After a while, Fang Bing bit her lip and said, "Liang Jingxian, if you want to continue with the barbecue business, I can rent it to you, I might even give you a bit of a discount."

"This store was purchased in full, I just don't have the energy to manage it right now, but the chefs in my store are all top-notch, definitely skilled. I hope the person renting my store can take them in."

Lee Yuan, moved, said, "Boss Fang..."

Fang Bing cut off Lee Yuan's words of gratitude and continued, "Liang Jingxian, you might want to consider it. Just selling crayfish might be too one-dimensional. Pairing it with barbecues might be a good choice. Our store is doing very well, with daily sales reaching six to seven thousand yuan, and a net profit of more than one hundred thousand yuan every month. If you really don't want to take over the barbecue business, you can buy the store outright, but it would require a lump sum payment with no discount."

After a moment's thought, Liang Jingxian said, "Buying the store is definitely out of the question, I don't have that much money. Alright, I'll take over the store as you suggested. However, I still have to check your staff. Those who are suitable can stay, but I'm really sorry for the ones who are not."

Lee Yuan's face immediately lit up with joy, and Fang Bing also breathed a sigh of relief. Although she didn't want to continue, she was loath to see the workers who had followed her for nearly two years lose their jobs.

"You can ask around this area, my store, with seventy square meters, would normally require a rent of seventy to eighty thousand yuan a year. For an alumni's sake, I'll charge you fifty thousand a year. The rent is paid every two years with a deposit of ten thousand. As for the transfer fee, let's make it fifty thousand, and all the equipment in the store will be left for you to use, so you don't need to buy anything else. The total adds up to one hundred sixty thousand. If that's fine with you, we can sign the contract right now."

Liang Jingxian said to Lee Yuan, "Master Lee, could you please step aside for a moment? There are some things I'd like to discuss privately with Ms. Fang."

After giving Liang Jingxian a glance, Lee Yuan nodded and stepped out of 'Happy Little Kitchen.'

"What do you want to talk to me about?" Fang Bing's brows furrowed again, as she was rather displeased with Liang Jingxian's approach.

"Ms. Fang, I don't have that much money at the moment..." said Liang Jingxian, "Is it possible to pay every half year or every three months? As for the transfer fee, I can only pay in installments, to be completed within three months."

"Uh, my offer is already very low. I could barely consider an annual payment, but if you're talking about quarterly or semi-annual payments, then forget it." Fang Bing's frown deepened.

With her terms already low, it seemed this trip was in vain, and Fang Bing even prepared to get up and leave.

Liang Jingxian chuckled and said, "Ms. Fang, I heard from Master Lee that the reason you want to close down the business quickly is that you're sick and unable to manage it.

How about this, if I can cure you, then will you rent your store to me with payments every three months? And the transfer fee paid in installments, completed within three months?"

"You... what did you say? You can cure me?" Fang Bing's complexion turned ashen. "Liang Jingxian, you can't just joke about these things."

Liang Jingxian seriously said, "I'm not joking with you. I've observed you for a while, and you seem to have a tumor in your lungs, right? It's not a big problem, and I have a way to cure you."
