Adrian's condition

The morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the spacious bedroom. Riley stretched lazily, feeling the familiar weight of Adrian's arm draped across her waist. She turned to face him, finding his blue eyes already open and watching her.

"Good morning," she said, her voice still thick with sleep.

"Good morning, Riley," he replied, his voice soft and filled with warmth. "I've been thinking."

She raised an eyebrow, curiosity piqued. "About what?"

"About us. Our marriage." He sat up, propping himself on one elbow. "I think we need to set some conditions. To ensure we both know what to expect."

Riley nodded, sitting up as well. "I agree. What kind of conditions do you have in mind?"

Adrian took a deep breath, his expression serious. "Firstly, respect. We need to respect each other's space, decisions, and boundaries. No matter what happens, respect is non-negotiable."

Riley nodded, appreciating the importance of his words. "Absolutely. What else?"

"Partnership," he continued. "This isn't just a marriage on paper. I want us to be true partners in everything. Decisions about the foundation, our home, our future. We need to make them together."

Riley felt a surge of relief and admiration. "I want that too, Adrian. Anything else?"

He hesitated for a moment, his eyes searching hers. "Honesty. We need to be honest with each other, even when it's difficult. No secrets, no lies."

Riley's heart swelled with emotion. "I agree, Adrian. And I have some conditions of my own."

Adrian's eyebrows lifted in surprise. "I'm listening."

"Trust," she said firmly. "We need to trust each other implicitly. Without trust, this won't work."

Adrian nodded, his expression thoughtful. "I can agree to that. What else?"

"Support," Riley continued. "We need to support each other's dreams and ambitions. Even if they don't always align, we need to find a way to make them work together."

Adrian's eyes softened, a small smile playing on his lips. "I like that. Anything else?"

Riley took a deep breath, steeling herself for her final condition. "Love. It might not be there fully yet, but I want us to work towards it. To build a marriage based on love, not just convenience or necessity."

Adrian's hand reached out, gently cupping her cheek. "I promise you, Riley, I will do everything in my power to build that love. I want us to have a real marriage, not just a contract."

She leaned into his touch, feeling a warmth spread through her. "Then it's a deal?"

"It's a deal," he replied, leaning in to press a tender kiss to her lips.

Their mutual understanding solidified their partnership. They spent the rest of the morning discussing the finer details of their conditions, ensuring they were both on the same page.

By the time they left the bedroom, a sense of clarity and purpose had settled over them. They were a team, united by their shared vision for the future.

As they entered the kitchen, Riley couldn't help but feel a sense of optimism. Adrian had already started brewing coffee, the rich aroma filling the room. She took a seat at the kitchen island, watching him move with ease and confidence.

"So, what's on the agenda for today?" she asked, taking the cup of coffee he handed her.

"We have a meeting with the board members of the foundation," Adrian replied, taking a seat beside her. "I want to introduce you and discuss our plans moving forward."

Riley nodded, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. "I'm ready. I've been reading up on the foundation's history and projects."

Adrian smiled, his eyes filled with pride. "I knew you would. You're amazing, Riley."

She felt a blush rise to her cheeks, his compliment warming her from the inside out. "Thank you, Adrian. I want to make a difference. For us, and for the people we're helping."

"You will," he said confidently. "We both will."

The rest of the day was a whirlwind of activity. They arrived at the foundation's headquarters, a sleek and modern building that exuded professionalism and purpose. Adrian introduced her to the board members, each of whom welcomed her warmly.

Riley felt a sense of belonging as they discussed their plans and strategies. She was more than just Adrian's wife; she was his partner in every sense of the word.

The meeting was productive, and by the time they left, Riley felt a renewed sense of purpose. They spent the afternoon going over their notes, refining their ideas and solidifying their vision.

As the day drew to a close, Riley and Adrian returned home, exhausted but satisfied. They sat on the couch, sipping wine and reflecting on the day's events.

"I'm proud of us," Adrian said, his voice filled with sincerity. "We're building something incredible, Riley."

She smiled, feeling a surge of emotion. "I'm proud of us too. And I'm excited for what's to come."

They clinked their glasses together, a silent toast to their future. As they sat in comfortable silence, Riley knew that their partnership was strong, their foundation solid.

The conditions they had set were not just words; they were a promise to each other. A promise to build a life filled with respect, partnership, trust, support, and love.

Riley felt a sense of contentment as she leaned against Adrian, his arm wrapping around her shoulders. She was exactly where she was meant to be.

As the night wore on, they talked about their hopes and dreams, their fears and aspirations. They laughed, they shared stories, and they planned for the future.

When they finally went to bed, Riley felt a sense of peace she hadn't felt in a long time. She knew there would be challenges ahead, but she was ready to face them with Adrian by her side.

Their mutual understanding had solidified their partnership, and Riley was confident that together, they could overcome anything.

As she drifted off to sleep, Riley knew that their marriage was more than just a contract. It was a true partnership, built on a foundatio

n of respect, trust, support, and love.

And she was ready to embrace every moment of it.
