Chapter 50: Troublemaker

In the dark purple dense light mist, a round of fiery hot moon rose. Two different attributes of the source power cancel each other, Allen surrounding the dark shadow light fog immediately to the annihilation of most, revealing a huge gap. Allen stepped out, posture calmly, see Ans pupils a burst of violent contraction.

"Impossible ..." Anse finally couldn't help but scream, "You even activated the engraving as well!"

Alan did not answer, rubbed his body and went up. Ans saw that the flames in his hand were still swirling and whistling, with no sign of extinguishing, and his heart shook again at that moment. What Alan used, was actually a persistent ability.

Most attack-based abilities are of the instant burst type, while some are long-lasting. The advantage of burst-type abilities was to cause huge instantaneous damage, while long-lasting abilities focused on endurance, both types had their own advantages and disadvantages. Just after releasing his ability, the source power in his body was almost drained clean, facing Allen's flaming sword that was still burning, the fear in Ans' heart could not be described in words.

One is determined to kill the enemy, the other is timid. The fighting spirit between the two was more than a thousand miles apart, and at the end of Alan's arrival, Ans could not help but back away.

  The hot moon rises again!

In Allen's hands, Berserk Slaughter pulled out a fiery crescent of flames and chopped at Anse's head and face. Anse's eyes were filled with the fiery moon, and the surging heat was so intense that he even smelled his own hair burning. Anse screamed and retreated violently, his eyes still burned painfully from the flames that roared past, and he couldn't help but close them. When he opened his eyes again, he saw that Alan had leapt high into the air.

Mad Butcher turned a small semicircle to come behind him, Alan broke off, source power surged wildly propelling Mad Butcher to pull out a graceful arc of light in mid-air. Thus, in Anse's eyes, two rounds of moonlight appeared in the night sky. One was pale and silver, hanging high in the sky. The other was brilliantly flaming, stretching across the sky!

The inflamed moon that descended from the sky brushed past Anse and hit the ground, exploding several fire paths that spread out in all directions. Anse's entire body was sent flying, and while he was in mid-air, his entire body was already set ablaze by the flames. He screamed and rolled on the ground, but was unable to suppress the flames, and eventually instinctively drove his source power to suppress the flames on his body with the little source power he had left. But Ans had already suffered multiple burns, his hair was even charred, and most of his face was blackened and reddened, a miserable sight to behold.

He struggled to his feet and yelled and turned around and ran. Seeing this, Alan yelled, "Lucy! Cut him off!"

"Of course!" Lucy held the pistol flat, steadying her hands as she aimed it at Anse's head.

Under the prodding of the source power, the lines on the gun body were activated. The light patterns shimmered and wove intricately, forming a pattern of roses on the gun body. When the light vines of the rose pointed at the muzzle, Lucy pulled the trigger.

The clear distinctive voice line rang out, and in the midst of the gunshots that resounded through the valley, Anse, who had already run a hundred meters away, suddenly swayed and eventually fell to the ground!

A great battle that has since ended.

Allen stood up and reached out to wipe his hand over the Berserker Blade. The burning flame was extinguished, and at this time, there were still ten seconds left before the limit time of the burning. The body of the Mad Butcher's blade was emitting an astonishingly high heat, fortunately, the burning was only using the weapon as the medium of release, and had its own layer of source power isolating the flame from the weapon, otherwise even if the thousand-degree flames didn't melt the Mad Butcher, it would still burn the magic formula sequence inside.

Walking over to Lucy's side, Ellen asked, "Are you okay?"

Lucy shook her head and smiled brightly, "It's fine, but I can't guarantee it if you're going to be here any later."

"Come on, then." Allen glanced toward Anse's corpse, but in his eyes, there was no joy at all after defeating a strong enemy.

"Why are you moping?" Lucy reached out and waved her hand in front of his eyes.

Alan forced a smile, "It's nothing, it's just that I'm a little uncomfortable using the engraving for the first time."

"So that's how it is, I thought you were injured." Lucy patted her chest, then whirled around and took Allen's hand and laughed, "Didn't you say you were leaving? Why are you still standing there!"

Under the moonlight, this smile of Lucy's was as bright as a river of stars, brightening the whole world. Yet that brilliant light stung Allen, Anse was dead. But the rule that only one person can win the death ring was like a shadow hanging over Alan's heart. Next, only he and Lucy were left.

Did he have to kill the young girl in front of him?

  Alan suddenly stood at attention.

"What's wrong?" Lucy sensed something was wrong.

Alan looked at her, his eyes gradually becoming determined. He shook his teeth and said, "Lucy, let's escape!"

"Flee? Why run away?" Lucy's eyes were puzzled.

"Idiot, have you forgotten the rules of the death ring?" Ellen gave her a light tap on the head in a no-nonsense manner.

Lucy held her head and spat out her tongue, "So that's what you're talking about."

"Then why do you think I'm running away ..." Allen shook his head, his gaze softening, "Although I would love to get a chance to change my destiny through this opportunity. So that I can avenge my mother and Bai Fang, but you are my friend, a true friend!"

"After all you've done for me, I would never turn my back on you, let alone make a move to kill you!" Alan spread his hands and laughed bitterly, "So the only way left is to escape from here. Escape from Babylon, escape back to the surface."

Lucy looked at him solicitously for a long moment before saying, "And your revenge?"

"Of course I have to avenge, it's just that it's slightly more difficult. But if I give up my morality and kill a true friend for the sake of revenge, then what am I!" Alan had a feeling of relief after saying those words. At the same time, he also truly understood the meaning of the words when Ron sent him out of the camp at that time.

Yes, there are some things that still must be upheld. Otherwise, it really becomes evil!

  "Know what? Ellen."

  "Uh?"

Lucy walked up, "You wouldn't know how happy I am to hear you say that."

When she finished, Lucy stood on her tiptoes and planted a soft kiss on Ellen's cheek.

An unnatural distortion suddenly appeared in a nearby space, but fortunately the distortion quickly disappeared. After Lucy kissed Allen, she took his hand and laughed, "Let's go, even if we have to escape, we still have to plan properly. And maybe, there will be a miracle tomorrow?"

"I'd rather believe in myself than a miracle." Allen said.

  "You egomaniac!"

  "It's just normal judgment."

The two men drifted further and further away, and it was only after they had left that Metallon's figure appeared in the air. The old man stroked his silver-bearded chin as he looked in their distant direction, "You should be proud, boy. To be able to win the friendship of His Highness, what a lucky fellow."

"Well, then, let me go and make a little miracle for you."

While Allen agonized over how he was going to escape from the floating island and Lucy remained heartless, the atmosphere in the command hall of the death ring was grave.

"Yes, repeat what you just saw. No, adjust the angle, you idiot!"

"Okay, okay, that's the angle. Zoom in, I want one hundred percent detail!"

Alstair was practically roaring like a human bear, the minister was never before excited and so out of sorts that those in the command hall worked with trepidation. When an image that Alstair had requested was shown on the light screen over the hall, the minister looked as if he had lost all his strength, staring at the image with a deadpan expression, the fat on his face quivering and finally forming a bitter smile.

In the picture, it was the same automatic pistol that had been filled for the Rosebud light pattern when Lucy had shot Anse.

"The Golden Rose ... Broken Golden Rose! Sure enough it is it, then this Lucy, is that highness?" Alstair shook his head and said, "No wonder I heard that that Your Highness was going to visit the Federation but postponed it for most of the year, so ... damn it, the old man is in big trouble now!"

The aide muttered, "Your Highness, my lord, the one you speak of?"

"She's ...," Alstair was about to say when suddenly a piercing alarm sounded in the hall.

"Grand ... lord, a high intensity peak of source power has appeared in Yellowstone Park." A staff member paled and stammered, "The energy level, the energy level is 26!"

Alstair only felt a vague headache as he exclaimed, "Then don't hurry up and pull up a picture of the area where the source reacted!"

After a moment of fumbling, an image opened up in the light screen above the hall. The image was of a looming mountain range, and on the tallest of the peaks, a tower-like figure caused Alstair's eyebrows to jump. When the image was given a zoom, Metallon's face appeared in the light screen. Looking at this face, Alstair laughed bitterly, ''Marquis Metallon, he is that highness's teacher. In that case, Lucy really is ..."

Alstair's obese body suddenly became lighter as he roared towards the staff below, "The Ring of Death is over! The contestant Lucy is dead. Do whatever you want, but in any case, tomorrow morning, you have to release the news and not let the public be suspicious."

"And what happened tonight, I don't want to hear similar rumors outside. Otherwise, watch out for your heads as well as your family's!"

Yelling toward his aide again, he said, "Get me His Excellency the President on a special line now!"

The aide wondered, "But by now, His Excellency the President should be asleep."

"Then wake him up! Believe me, if he wakes up tomorrow morning and realizes this, your head will have to say goodbye to your body!" Like a bull in heat, Alstair's two nostrils kept buzzing and the hot breath he exhaled almost hit his assistant in the face.

"Yes, my lord, I'll do it now!" The aide screamed and ran out.

It was then that Alstair shook his head, remembering the many rumors about this Highness and the one title that caused a headache. For example, Calamity of Edavar, Cunning Pearl, and so on, either of which made Alstair feel like the God of Calamity was shaking his hand in greeting.

In contrast, Adele, who was known as the "Goblin of the Molson Family" in Babylon, could not even be called trouble. After all, the trouble created by His Highness, which time is not a big one?
