The world of pirates has never had so many rules, and some of them are quite arbitrary. Clearly, Mr. 5 is particularly arbitrary.

"We don't dare! It's just that the output of the top wines from the winery has been insufficient recently, and our pub can't order them. I definitely don't mean to fool you," the pub owner quickly explained in terror.

Sure enough, pirates are still a difficult group to get along with.

"Forget it, I'll take anything," Rosen said. Although he wanted to try the top wines of this wine city, there was nothing he could do if they weren't available. There was no need to lose his temper over it since it wouldn't change reality.

"Okay, okay, I'll make arrangements right away," the tavernkeeper replied repeatedly, retreating quickly.

"Warlords are so overbearing. Usually, the old man isn't so polite to us. It's really annoying," a bounty hunter complained in a low voice.

He glanced at Rosen and the others. They were Warlords, so their bounties didn't count. Otherwise, he could have used his ability to poison them without being noticed, and he would have been able to exchange their heads for wine.

But even if you really want to hunt pirates, you have to leave the tavern first. Otherwise, you'll be blacklisted and no information will be provided next time. This is why pirates and bounty hunters can get along in the tavern. Of course, it's hard to say what will happen outside the tavern.

Peng! Suddenly, in the corner, a short but incredibly strong man, with muscles like boulders, slammed his fist on the table. His expression became resolute as he picked up a massive stainless steel axe and walked towards Rosen and the others.

Everyone's eyes brightened up. It looked like there was going to be a show. Many of those present were arrogant and unruly.

Even though the name carries weight, not everyone is afraid of the Warlords.

Most people were waiting to see if anyone would be brave enough to test the waters. After all, not just the Navy, but also some pirates and bounty hunters, look down on the Warlord system.

The Warlords should have some strength, but it's hard to say how much.

If it turns out that the Warlord isn't that strong, many might take action for the sake of fame.

"This sort of thing seems unavoidable," Rosen said as he began to enjoy the food in front of him. He glanced at the approaching short man but didn't take him seriously.

Just like in Alabasta, where reputations are made, pirates who set sail want to become famous in the world.

"This is really disappointing," Mr. 5 said as he stood up, ready to deal with the trouble. After all, not every problem could be solved by the boss; otherwise, what was the point of having them around?

Mr. 5 decided that even if he didn't detonate his challenger, he would rest in bed for a few months. With the guidance of the boss in the past days, he felt a sudden advancement in both his physical strength and Devil Fruit abilities.

People in this world possess strong bodies. With perseverance, hard work, and exercise, one can achieve great results.

"You're one of the Warlords, Sir Crocodile," a small yet burly man announced, standing not far from Rosen, wielding a large axe.

Rosen, engrossed in his meal, paid no heed but continued savoring the exotic beast barbecue brought before him—a delicacy with bone-in meat boasting a crispy, greasy skin, tempting his taste buds with each bite.

His eyes lit up. Indeed, the meat was exceptionally delicious, charred on the outside yet tender within, releasing a rich, fragrant aroma that melted in the mouth.

"What do you want with our boss?" Mr. 5 raised his head haughtily, glaring at the newcomer with contempt.

"I am Simon Furious, with a bounty of 23 million Berries, seeking to join your crew," the diminutive man declared loudly.

Rosen paused, surprised by Simon's request, as were the others present, puzzled by someone seeking to join the pirates rather than cause trouble.

In the world of pirate worshipers, one must tread carefully, as fierce and ruthless actions often provoke confrontation.

"Oh?" Rosen glanced at Simon, considering the implications. While seemingly unexpected, when associated with the Warlords, it made sense that more individuals would aspire to join; legal looting tempts many aspiring pirates.

Despite his verbal disdain for the Warlords, faced with such an offer, Rosen found it a rational decision, akin to seeking shelter under a larger entity. It's a common and sensible tactic; not everyone seeks conflict.

"Yes, I wish to align with you for a grand venture; I possess great strength," Simon declared boldly, his rough tone matched by a fierce demeanor.

"I will grant you the opportunity to challenge him," Rosen pointed at Mr. 5.

"Is that so?" Simon grinned, his expression growing more menacing, prepared to confront the challenge. How many strikes could this seemingly feeble man withstand?

"Step aside and allow the boss to dine in peace," Bonez interjected.

When Mr. 5 heard these words, his face turned slightly grim. Bonez was being very particular about what he said. If the fight happened outside, Mr. 5 knew his life and death wouldn't be in his control.

If it took place in the tavern, though, he'd save face, and even if he lost, the boss might step in to save him.

Rosen thought about it and agreed. Mr. 5's Devil Fruit ability was actually very good and strong, but without developing proper fighting instincts, it would be of little use in the future. So he said, "Go, don't let me down."

"Understood," Mr. 5 replied, knowing he had no way out in this battle. He didn't blame the boss or Bonez for this.

Because he had been at the bottom during recent exercises, he didn't see any problem with this arrangement.

"Let's go," Mr. 5 said to Simon with a cold face. Simon thought for a moment and followed Mr. 5 out. As the two walked out of the tavern, some people followed to watch the excitement.

"Keep an eye on things from the shadows. If the first attempt fails and it becomes dangerous, save Mr. 5," Rosen thought for a moment and gave Mr. 5 another chance.

Although pressure needed to be applied, it shouldn't be too much at once. In case of failure, the loss would still be on him.

"Understood, boss. Here is the information you just bought. Take a look. These are some pirates known for their frequent activities in the area," Bonez said, handing Rosen a stack of wanted posters with incident notes. He then stood up.

"I also want to join your pirate crew, even as an ordinary crew member. I am..." someone started to say, seeing an opportunity to join the powerful Warlord crew.

"Go away," Bonez said, kicking the person aside. If every random person thought they could join, they wouldn't have any personal space and wouldn't even be able to enjoy a meal in peace.

Rosen didn't respond much. As a Warlord, he was already prepared for such situations, and Bonez's actions aligned with his expectations.

However, at that moment, an alarm bell rang in Rosen's mind. A figure approached him silently from behind, moving like a ghost. The assailant held a crescent-shaped dagger with a blue-tinted blade, clearly coated with a slow-acting poison.

Most poisons that can be applied to weapons are usually in liquid form. This person had been lurking for a long time, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. And indeed, this was an ideal time.

MR. 5 had left, a new person had stepped forward to attract attention, and Bonez was taking action. Rosen himself was focused more on Bonez and his companion.

The assassin had chosen the timing perfectly.
