Chapter 16: Picture

After a moment of lingering in the living room, Noah felt an inexplicable urge to be closer to Adrian. He stood up, taking light steps as if not to disturb the magic of the moment, and made his way to the kitchen. Adrian was so engrossed in his tasks that he didn't notice Noah approaching from behind.

Without hesitation, Noah wrapped his arms around Adrian, pulling him into a gentle embrace. For a split second, Adrian seemed startled, but soon recognition replaced his surprise, and he responded with a soft smile. He placed his hands on top of Noah's, an unspoken reassurance passing between them.

"You can find your clothes in the room. Go and freshen up. I'll be done here shortly," Adrian said, his voice warm and soothing.

Noah was taken aback by the mention of his clothes and glanced around the living room. To his surprise, he spotted his luggage and bag resting nearby. Curiosity took over as he wondered how Adrian had managed to get his belongings.

"I didn't give you my key, how did you get my things?" Noah asked, his confusion evident.

Adrian chuckled heartily, finding amusement in Noah's bewilderment. "I got them from your bag," he replied, offering a simple yet effective explanation.

Noah nodded in understanding, but then another question arose in his mind. "How did you find out my address?" he inquired, genuinely curious.

Adrian's laughter grew louder this time as he playfully ruffled Noah's hair.

"Don't forget I'm your boss," he replied with a playful glint in his eyes.

With a smile tugging at his lips, Noah playfully narrowed his eyes, acknowledging Adrian's point, and then he gracefully exited the kitchen.

Navigating through the apartment, Noah soon found himself standing outside the two bedrooms, unsure of which one was his. Seeking clarity, he called out to Adrian for guidance.

"Which room?" he asked, his voice carrying a touch of uncertainty.

"Right one!" Adrian's voice carried from the kitchen, guiding Noah to his designated space.

Noah couldn't believe his eyes when he stepped into the room. It was spacious, beautifully decorated, and unlike anything he had ever seen before. The luxury and elegance of the room left him speechless. The room was also grey like the whole apartment.

As he wandered around the room, he noticed the attention to detail in every corner. The soft, comfortable bed was inviting, and the view from the large windows was breathtaking.

While Noah was exploring the room, his gaze fell upon a photo frame that seemed to stand out amidst the elegant décor. Curiosity piqued, he picked up the frame and examined the picture within. It featured a sweet little girl with an adorable smile. Noah found himself puzzled by the presence of the photo, but he gently placed it back on the nightstand and proceeded to collect his clothes.

With his clothes in hand, he made his way to the bathroom to freshen up.

his mind couldn't shake off the image of the little girl in the photo frame. He couldn't help but wonder who she was and why her picture adorned Adrian's nightstand. There was a sense of familiarity in the girl's eyes, a feeling he couldn't quite place.

As he undressed to take a shower, his thoughts drifted to the possibilities. Could she be a relative of Adrian's, a niece perhaps? Or maybe she was a close friend's child? The mystery intrigued him, but he didn't want to pry into Adrian's personal life without permission.

Feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness, Noah stepped into the shower and let the warm water cascade over his body. The soothing sensation helped him relax, washing away the weariness from the day's events.

Once dressed, Noah returned to the living room, where Adrian was engrossed in his laptop. The atmosphere was serene, and Noah couldn't help but admire the cozy apartment Adrian called home. The mix of modernity and warmth in the decor reflected Adrian's personality, and it made Noah feel even more comfortable.

"Feeling better?" Adrian looked up from his laptop, concern evident in his eyes.

"Yes, thank you," Noah replied with a soft smile. "Your place is amazing."

Adrian chuckled, seemingly relieved by

Noah's response. "I'm glad you like it."

As the evening set in, darkness enveloped the surroundings. Adrian closed his laptop.

"Let's have dinner," he said.

Noah nodded in agreement, and they made their way to the dining table. To Noah's surprise, a delightful spread of various dishes awaited them.

He couldn't help but be in awe of Adrian's cooking skills, marveling at how someone as accomplished and impressive as Adrian could excel in every aspect of life. It seemed as though the heavens had crafted Adrian with the utmost care and attention, bestowing upon him wealth, power, success, and unparalleled handsomeness.

"Please, have a seat," Adrian courteously invited, noticing Noah's momentary hesitation.

Feeling a bit nervous, Noah took a chair and sat down across from Adrian. As he tasted the food, he was even more amazed by Adrian's culinary skills.

Throughout the meal, both of them opted for a comfortable silence, the only sound being the gentle clinking of utensils against plates. The ambiance felt warm and inviting, making Noah feel a sense of comfort and belonging he had rarely experienced before.
