Chapter 4: The Fool

I was looking at my surroundings and then saw my Mask on the ground. "Huh?" I grabbed the mask, and then put it in my Multi-Dimensional space. I then approached Hebi "Yo wake up." I said as i kicked him in the leg "GAAAAH!" Hebi screamed in pain as i then looked at him "Finally feeling awake Partner?" I said with a evil grin for kicking him "Fuck you." Hebi said as i then helped him stand up. "Come on don't be all Grumpy.. also there is a training room here we can use and they also said it levels us up!" I said as he then grinned "Then let's go, Let's not waste time." I was about to go until i heard a voice from behind call me.

[Witch of the Forest would like to contact you!]

Witch of the forest… there was only one person i knew with that Name. "Accept."

"Hello Sweetie, did your friendly fight go well? You should thank your father for that blessing."

"I am gonna say it again, You guys are not my parents." I said as Finana then replied

"You're so cute denying it!"

"I'm not denying it! You guys are not my parents!"

"Do you know your father just made a change in the rules just for you."

"HE IS NOT MY- huh?"

"He made it so blessings are allowed."

Adamas made a change in the rules… just who the hell is he?

As we reached the training room, Hebi was standing in front of me and he then pulled out his Greatsword. "Haruki, Fight me again." His words had me shocked but I then smiled "Ready Partner?" I said as he came running he suddenly did something I have never seen him do. "I'll show you… My resolve!" He said as he then threw the Greatsword with all his might as it came flying towards me at insane speed, "Eh?" I said as I then realized the situation I'm in. I dodge but what happened next was something unexpected as the sword disappeared but instead it was Hebi and he came with his fists and punched me "Wha-" Hebi then began punching my Face over and over and over, until I ended up losing consciousness. When I woke up I saw Akari and Hebi looking at me "Oh he's awake" Hebi spoke as I looked at him angrily "You almost killed me." I said as he laughed "Did you like my new move?" he asked as I then stood up. "Yeah yeah it's cool, but what was it even?" I asked as then Akari replied "Well basically! Hebi went woosh and threw his sword and then wham bam and then Whoosh! He then bam bam and punched the crap out of you." She explained as Hebi then looked at her "It is not whatever you said! It's a skill I got; I basically can replace myself with my weapon." Hebi explained his skill and then I smiled "I see… anyways I think there Is a way to level up here." I said as I then remembered "By the way there was a change in the rules." Their eyes widened as if this was something new and they didn't know. "Apparently we can get blessings now." I said as their shock only grew "How do you know?!" Hebi said wanting to know who gave me the information so I replied "Well… that's hard to explain… but anyways Akari I know you have healing magic but I have an idea." I began sharing my ideas with the two.

"You- You want me to what?!"

"You have to be joking Haruki."

A few weeks passed as we were still in the training room not leaving it till we made sure we were ready. And when that time finally came we also heard the announcement that three people made it to the door. "Oh? I guess new comers are often to come by." I said as I then looked around and realized Hebi was nowhere to be found "Hey Akari? Where'd Hebi go?" I asked as she just Shrugged "He said he'll rest a bit before training more and then we can start heading for the next floor." She replied as I then wondered what her level was. I did a status check and began seeing her stats.

Akari seems to have grown stronger so I pat her head. "Good job on leveling up." I said as she smiled "Mhm! I worked hard to be of help!" she said as I then decided to check my own status.

I leveled up a lot here... huh? Guess it's time to go to the next Area. "Hey Akari, Let's go find Hebi and leave to the next floor." I said as she then stood up and we began looking for Hebi. Eventually we found him talking to the people that entered the door. "Hey Hebi, who are-" before I can talk Hebi pulled out his sword. "I better not see your faces in front of me or things won't be pretty." From what I heard I can assume these people were dangerous. I signaled Akari to stay. "Stay here I'll go talk to them." I said as I then pulled out Mask of the fool and wore it as I approached Hebi and those other guys. "Hey there, what's going on here?" I asked as Hebi then saw me he replied to my question "These people came here and began destroying stuff around." I began noticing that the surroundings around the area seem to be damaged as I then looked at the three people that entered. "Hey there, I'm Hebi Narukami, Pleasure to meet you." I said as I hold my hand out to shake them, Hebi looked at me Shocked but then calmed down seemed to understand what I'm doing. "Well we were just training here and your friend here came and attacked one of our party members." The guy in front said he had blue hair and pink eyes he looked at me with a grin as I then replied "Well then I apologize for my friend's behavior, And also there is a training room right there." I pointed at the training room door as they looked at it the guy with blue hair looked at me again and said "Ah, you see… I think we'd prefer training here." This guy was seriously looking for trouble. "I see, we'll be leaving then." I said as Hebi looked shocked "What?! But these guys started it!" he seemed angry but I looked at him while wearing the mask I said "We were already leaving so let's go." I said as I grabbed Hebi, Akari joined us and then we began heading out to the next floor.

So that guy was Hebi Nakamura… I see Things are getting interesting now… hehe.

I looked at the guys that are with me and said "Listen here you two, Attack anyone that enters the door okay?" I said as they also grinned. If that Guy was Hebi then I wonder… where is Haruki Suou? I can't wait to meet you Haruki.

"Status Window." I said as my stats appeared in front of me.

"What was that for?" Hebi asked as he looked at me.

I replied "I had to do it, otherwise you would have fought and you would have gotten beat." I said as he seemed to think I'm Underestimating him. "What's that supposed to mean?! Are you saying that because I'm too weak?!" he obviously seemed angry so I took off my mask and he saw my expression was that of fear. "Those guys… could have easily killed us." I said as he then noticed my look of fear and I watched as his expression turned to that of shock. "Were… Were they that strong?" Hebi asked as I quietly nodded, we began descending the stairs I saw the Number 99 in front of us as we stepped inside we found ourselves in front of a beautiful green road and saw a path as we got a new mission.
