After a while, Veldanava and I finally reached our destination. There, standing with an air of authority and elegance, were my two sisters, Velzard and Velgrynd.
Velgrynd, with her fiery red hair and piercing eyes, looked at me with curiosity. "Brother, is he our younger brother?" she asked.
Veldanava nodded and began to explain, giving a formal introduction. "Yes, Velgrynd. This is Velsun, our new sibling, the Sun Dragon."
As Veldanava introduced me, I couldn't help but feel the weight of their scrutinizing gazes. Wanting to assess my position among them, I decided to use my newly acquired Ultimate Skill, Mimir. "Mimir, scan Velzard and Velgrynd and tell me the difference in magicules between us," I thought, focusing on the task.
Instantly, Mimir responded within my mind, providing detailed information:
- **Velzard (Ice Dragon)**: Magicules count significantly high, her aura cold and powerful, reflecting her dominion over ice and frost.
- **Velgrynd (Flame Dragon)**: Magicules count similarly high, her aura intense and fiery, embodying the destructive and passionate nature of flames.
In comparison, my magicules, bolstered by the recent infusion from Veldanava, were also extraordinarily high, though slightly different in nature due to my unique affinity with the sun.
"Hmm... Seems like my power is on nearly par with theirs, though each of us has our distinct strengths," I thought, feeling a bit more confident.
Velgrynd smirked slightly, her eyes gleaming with interest. "So, you're the Sun Dragon. Let's see if you can keep up with us."
With Veldanava's introduction complete, I stood tall, ready to prove myself among the True Dragons. The dynamic between my siblings and me was sure to be complex, but with Mimir's insights and my own determination, I felt prepared to navigate the challenges ahead.
Then Velzard, out of nowhere, came and hugged me tightly, her expression filled with excitement. "Ohh... My cute little brother, you are so cute! You are so handsome, nearly equal to our elder brother. You might even surpass him in the future."
I was dumbfounded and felt increasingly uncomfortable with her strong embrace, so I tried to wriggle out of her hug.
"Eh? Your elder sister is trying to show you love, but you misbehave?" she said, her tone playful yet menacing. "I guess I have to discipline you."
Before I knew it, Velzard had released me with a surprising force. I was sent flying towards the distant mountains, the impact leaving me bleeding a bit. The strength of her casual action reminded me of the immense power my siblings possessed.
As I lay there, stunned and slightly hurt, I realized that fitting into this family would be more challenging than I initially thought. But the resolve within me grew stronger. I would prove myself, not just as a younger brother, but as a powerful True Dragon worthy of respect.
Veldenava massaged his temple, clearly exasperated by the situation, while Velgrynd looked genuinely concerned. "Brother, is it that our younger brother is very weak?" she asked.
"No, that's not the matter, sister," Veldanava explained. "It's just that he was born just 30 minutes ago."
Velgrynd went pale at this revelation and quickly sped up to the mountain where I had crashed. She thought to herself, "Velzard is going too hard on our little brother. Family should be treated kindly." When she reached me, she asked, "Hey kid, are you okay?"
"What the hell was that for?" I yelled in anger, boiling with rage. The temperature around me began to rise, reflecting my intense emotions.
"Don't mind Velzard. It is her way to show love towards family members," Velgrynd tried to reassure me.
"LOVE, YOU SAY? HUH! WELL, I'LL SHOW HER LOVE THEN!" I yelled, my anger intensifying.
Velzard appeared in the air, analyzing me with a calm demeanor. She was relieved to see that I was not fatally wounded, only slightly injured, but she was displeased by the glare I was giving her. "You still dare to be a rebellious child in the family?" she said. "Brother, I guess I have to discipline you more."
I lost my temper completely and launched a fist at her, my anger fueling my attack. The air around us crackled with energy as I struck out, determined to show Velzard that I would not be easily subdued.
Velzard, however, was ready. She deflected my punch with a practiced ease, her expression still a mix of amusement and disapproval. "You have spirit, little brother. But you must learn to control your power and your temper," she said, her tone firm but not unkind.
Velgrynd stepped between us, her voice calm and soothing. "Enough, Velzard. He's still new to all of this. Give him time to adjust. Velsun, you need to understand that our strength is immense, but so is our responsibility to each other."
I took a deep breath, trying to calm my raging emotions. "Fine," I muttered, the temperature around me slowly returning to normal. "But she needs to understand that I'm not just a punching bag."
Veldenava nodded approvingly. "That's the spirit, Velsun. We are a family, and we must learn to support and protect each other. Now, let's head inside the palace. There is much for you to see and learn."
With a newfound resolve and a clearer understanding of my place in this powerful family, I followed my siblings into the grand palace, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
But I wanted a fight and didn't want to back down. Just when both sisters' guards were down, I launched a powerful compressed sun attack towards Velzard. Velgrynd, being near her, was also caught in the open fire.
Both emerged slightly bruised, and Velgrynd narrowed her eyes at me. She had just wanted to help me, but my attack had infuriated her.
"Damn it, I misfired," I thought.
Suddenly, both of them tag-teamed against me. Velzard moved at a speed I could barely react to and kicked me. I barely blocked it but was still launched towards the ground. Velgrynd then unleashed her flames towards me, but to her surprise, I was immune. I managed to get behind her and kicked her in the head, sending her flying. Now she was mad because a youngling had hit her while her guard was down.
Velzard launched a blizzard at me, dropping the temperature to minus degrees. I drew power from the sun, spreading warmth around, and dodged the blizzard. However, Velzard had more experience and control over her powers, and I was eventually hit. Velgrynd also came at me from behind, attacking relentlessly. I was beaten badly by both of them, and our battle—or rather, my one-sided beating—went on for weeks.
During this time, Ramiris, a friend of Veldanava, approached him and asked, "Veldanava, what the hell is happening? It's been going on for weeks—"
She was cut off as a large yellow ball, resembling the sun, crashed to the ground, creating mass destruction but not affecting the adversaries it was aimed at.
"Well, you could say my new sibling is born and is spending time with his sisters," Veldanava said with an embarrassed smile.
Ramiris blinked in surprise. "Spending time, huh? It looks more like they're trying to tear each other apart."
Veldanava sighed. "It's how we dragons bond sometimes. They'll learn to understand and respect each other's strength."
Meanwhile, bruised and battered, I continued to face my sisters' relentless attacks. Despite the pain, I felt a growing sense of determination. I wasn't just fighting for survival; I was fighting to earn their respect and find my place in this powerful family.
"I legit am starting to dislike them," I thought, feeling the sting of their blows and the weight of their relentless attacks. "They are just like how they were in the story, always bullying Veldora. But now, they're bullying me. I will become stronger and not let Veldora suffer this time."
Drawing on the solar energy around me, I began to regenerate. The warmth of the sun's power flowed through me, healing my wounds and replenishing my strength. Each time I was knocked down, I got back up, determined to endure and grow stronger.
As I regenerated, I could feel the raw energy coursing through my veins, my body adapting and becoming more resilient with each passing moment. Velzard and Velgrynd might have the upper hand now, but I knew that with time and effort, I would close the gap and become a force to be reckoned with.
Velzard noticed my determination and smirked, her icy eyes glinting with a mix of respect and challenge. "You have spirit, Velsun. Let's see how far you can go."
Velgrynd, still smoldering from my earlier attack, narrowed her eyes but said nothing, her fiery aura flickering with renewed intensity. I could tell she was both irritated and intrigued by my resilience.
Despite the pain and the constant barrage, I held onto my resolve. I would train, learn, and master my powers. I would not let Veldora suffer the same fate. The bond between us as True Dragons would be different, stronger. And one day, I would stand as an equal among my siblings, ensuring that Veldora had the support and protection he needed.
With each regeneration, I felt myself inching closer to that goal, my heart burning with the same fierce determination as the sun's eternal flame.
