The First Real Kiss

As Maya approached the table, Lucas pulled out a chair for her, his eyes never leaving hers.

"I've missed your presence so much," he said, his voice filled with emotion.

Maya's smile was like a ray of sunshine, illuminating the garden and warming Lucas's heart.

He took her hand in his, his fingers intertwining with hers as he gazed into her eyes.

Maya's eyes widened as she took in the spread before her. Candles flickered, casting a warm glow on the exquisite dishes Lucas had prepared.

Her heart swelled with emotion as she realized he had gone to such great lengths to make amends.

"Lucas, this is incredible." She said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Her gaze drifted back to the table, where a beautifully roasted chicken sat alongside steaming vegetables and golden-brown potatoes.

A bouquet of her favourite flowers, sunflowers, added a bright pop of color to the setting.

Lucas smiled, relief washing over his face.

"I'm glad you like it. I was hoping to make tonight special to show you how much I care."

Maya's heart melted at his words, and she knew she couldn't stay mad at him any longer.

"Try the chicken," Lucas said, his voice low and gentle. "I made it your way, with Rosemary and garlic."

Maya's stomach growled in anticipation as she took her first bite. The flavours danced on her tongue, and she couldn't help but let out a contented sigh.

"Lucas, this is amazing."

Lucas responded with a smile. He took a deep breath, his eyes locked on Maya's, his voice trembling with emotion.

"Maya, you are so special. You light up my world in ways I never thought possible. Your smile, your laugh, your kindness…it all captivates me."

He paused, his grip on her hand tightening. "I was wrong to hurt you, and I am so sorry for my mistakes. You deserve so much better than me and I promise to make it up to you."

Maya's eyes welled up with tears as Lucas's words washed over her.

"You make me feel seen, heard and understood in so many ways,"

Lucas continued. "You are my best friend, my partner and my everything. I regret disrespecting our vows and never taking it seriously."

"And I realize now that I've been wanting to say these three words to you for so long, but I've been too afraid."

Lucas's voice dropped to a whisper. "I love you Maya. I love your strength, your beauty.. I love everything about you. You're the missing piece I never knew I needed, and I promise to cherish, support and adore you for all eternity, Maya."

Tears streamed down Maya's face as she looked at Lucas, but a smile spread across her face. Her heart overflowing with emotion.

She saw the sincerity in his eyes, the vulnerability, and the love. And in that moment, she knew she felt the same way.

She stood up, and Lucas immediately rose to meet her.

He gently wiped away her tears with his thumbs, his touch sending shivers down her spine.

Maya wrapped her arms around Lucas's waist, and he enveloped her in a warm embrace. They held each other tightly, the tension and uncertainty of the past melting away.

"I love you too, Lucas." Maya whispered, her voice muffled against his chest.

Lucas's grip tightened, and he buried his face in her hair, inhaling the sweet scent of her perfume.

He apologized for hurting her again, promising to never let go.

As they held each other, the world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in their love and forgiveness.

As they pulled back from the hug, Lucas's eyes locked onto Maya's, the air between them cracking with tension.

He reached out, his hand gently cupping her cheek, and Maya's heart skipped a beat.

She felt the warmth of his skin, the tenderness of his touch, and her lips parted slightly in anticipation.

Lucas leaned in, his lips brushing against hers in a soft, gentle kiss. Maya felt herself melting into the touch.

The kiss deepened, their lips moving in perfect sync. It was their first real kiss.

Maya felt a deep connection, a spark that ignited a fire within her. Though she had been kissed before, this was different.

This kind left her breathless and wanting more.

Lucas's touch was gentle yet passionate, his lips coaxing hers to respond.

As they broke apart for a moment, his eyes met hers, it was as if they both knew that something special had happened, something that would change them forever.

Without a word, Lucas pulled her back in, their lips meeting again in a kiss that left Maya's head spinning.

The passion between them was palpable.

Their mouths explored each other, the kiss growing more passionate, more intense.

Lucas's arms wrapped tightly around Maya, lifting her off the ground.

He cradled her in his arms, as he made his way to their room, lost in their passion.

Maya's legs wrapped around Lucas's waist, her arms around his neck, deepening the kiss.

The room spun around them as Lucas laid her down on the bed, his body covering hers.

Their kisses grew more urgent, more passionate as if they couldn't get enough of each other.

Lucas's hands roamed over Maya's body, exploring every curve, every contour.

Maya's fingers tangled in his hair, pulling him closer, deeper.

As they broke apart for a moment, gasping for air, Lucas's eyes locked onto Maya's, burning with an intensity.

"I love you," he whispered, his voice husky with emotion.

Maya's pulse quickened. "I love you too." She replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
