THE OTHER SIDE OF RUTH

The next morning, Ruth arrived at the office early as she often does every usual work day except for Tuesday which had been the day of her father’s death anniversary and was a lot focused on her daily routine of checking each of the periodic reports prepared by the head of departments, passed onto her by her personal Secretary. 


 She had dedicated herself in previewing the Departmental reports labeled differently for easy identification after it was officially signed. She intently did this to get her mind off a lot of pestering thoughts which had caused her not to sleep comfortably last night after her discussion with her mother which ended up raising a lot of questions about her future and that of her family inside her head before she went for bed. 


As a result of thinking too hard about her conditional withdrawal from eking out time for blind dating, she was awake, rolling on both side of her bed all through the night and only fell asleep when it was three am in the morning.
