The rat

During my lunch break, in the penthouse office, I’m talking to Remi on the phone and she is telling me all about her first friendly date with her school crush Leo.

Dad didn’t allow me to date until I was 18, but dad took Remi and Leo to the park and watched over them.

Remi swore to me that they were just friends, but I have the feeling that they will be high school sweethearts in the future. Time flies by way too quickly.

Heather:( “So what did you and Leo talk about on your date?“)

Remi:( Mostly school gossip, and our favorite hobbies. Can you believe he also likes dancing?“)

Remi sighs blissfully, and I giggle.

Remi: (“He’s so dreamy.“)

Heather: (“Dreamy? I thought you said he was just a friend Rem.“)

Remi: (“Yeah... A dreamy friend. When are you having the baby? I can’t wait to meet her!“)

Heather: (“I still have a long way to go, sweetie, 6 more months or so.“)

Remi: (“6 months. Ahh, that’s so far away! Do you know what you’re going to name her yet?“)
