Everything he wants in a girlfriend.

"You're not nice at all! How could you not fill me up about your date when you got back? I thought we were best friends." Jessica whined over the phone.

"I was going to tell you eventually. Why get so worked up? Let's meet at our usual café let's talk."

"Bills on you." Jessica declared almost immediately.

"Your so stingy jess. You are technically richer than I am but you love extorting me. Seriously you should really be charged for extortion of the poor." Ariel complained begrudgingly as she was frustrated of Jessica always taking advantage of her guilty conscience. She had manage to earn a useless talent of making Jessica mad and then Jessica always end up taking advantage of it.

"Oh c'mon! Stop acting like you ain't grateful that I'm willing to help you spend your money. And besides, you do deserve it. I always get to tell you every single detail of my life but you don't do the same. So, to help you clear your conscience I help you spend your money." Jessica defended herself righteously. She didn't think she was doing anything wrong.

"Stop fighting the fact that your stingy."

"Call me stingy again and I'd give you a punch when we see. Do you dare?"

"Of course I don't. Why would I want to bark at a wild dog? Don't keep me waiting or else I'd leave. See ya."

"Who are you calling a wild...." Before Jessica could be done with her statement she heard the line disconnect.

"Hello? Ariel?" She called out as she pulled the phone away from her ear only to discover that Ariel had hung up on her.

"Oh your so dead." Jessica gritted her teeth.

"Bestie." Ariel waved at Jessica with a broad grin as she signaled her over to the table she sat.

"Don't you dare try to smile your way out of this."

"Alright then. Stay angry and see Who is going to tell you about how her date went." Ariel said causally as she played with her nails.

"Ohhh, I see you learnt how to play your cards well. Nice one Ariel, i really have to give it to you on this one. I'd let you go because am a proud mother right now. After all I had thought you well. You win on this one. But on a serious note, how did your date go? Fill me in on everything and don't skip a single detail. Got it?" Jessica said all in one go as she kept nodding her head at Ariel.

Ariel on the other hand quietly fidgeted with her finger nails avoiding eye contact with a curious Jessica.

"Hey? Why ain't you speaking?" Jessica asked with a twisted face.

"Did you forget how to beg?" Ariel asked as she took a sip from the coffee she had already ordered while trying her best not to laugh at her friend's expression.

"So that's how you want to play it huh? Then so be it."

"All you have to do is beg jess." Ariel rolled her eyes.

"But I also know something you don't." Jessica mimicked Ariel, taking a sip of her coffee with a playful grin.

"Am sorry but am not sure am quite interested in the information you have got." Ariel wasn't ready to give in to Jessica. She wasn't going to lose after almost beating Jessica at her own game.

"Even if it is about Daniel?" Jessica added with a smile. Ariel couldn't hide the change in her emotions as her facial expression didn't mind betraying her, her expression shifting from calm to surprise. Seeing the smile on Jessica's face, she realised she had shown a change in expression and quickly tried to fix it.

"He told you something? What do you know? Spit it!" Ariel glared as Jessica as she couldn't play cool anymore.

"Hahaha. You can't take your own medicine now can you? Let's do it this way baby girl, I tell you what I know, and you fill me in about your date. Deal?"

"Deal. I don't know why your so curious anyways."

"That's my business. So?"

"Well, I wore a gown. The gown you gifted me on my birthday to be specific. I wore lip gloss, my hair was left free. What else? Fuck me I put on sneakers." Ariel chuckled face palming herself.

"You did not." Jessica laughed teasingly

"Fuck you! I did. But it wasn't bad though."

"I know it wasn't. Go on." Jessica smiled encouragingly.

"I was a little late." She said playing with her fingers.

"Ariel! Dear lord, when are you going to ever change?"

"Is not my fault, okay? But I really don't want to go into the details."

"Go on," Jessica urged.

"Anyways, he booked us a private room, apparently someone owed him a favour. We ate, we went on a walk, we watched the fireworks, we went to the riverbank."

"Woah, that's a lot for a date."

"What can I say jess? It's hard to want to leave when am there." Ariel smiled smugly.

"Well, do you know why there weren't many people when you guys went to watch the fireworks?" Jessica asked moving her brows up and down.

"Why?" Asked a curious Ariel

"I don't know how Daniel did it but he did make sure the place wasn't crowded. And he didn't say, but I think he had something to do with the fireworks." Jessica said gossipy.

"No wonder they were little to nobody there. I thought it was fishy."

"You should be paying me for giving you such confidential information."

"What else did he say?" Ignoring Jessica's comment, Ariel asked.

"He did say you were every thing he wants in a girlfriend." Jessica smiled.

Hearing what Jessica had said Ariel spit out the coffee she had just put in her mouth.

"What!?"
