Second Day of the Tournament

Daniel could not have been more excited for the second day of the tournament. He could hardly contain himself. Though he was in his waiting room, he could hear the crowd filing into the stands. The thought of so many people coming to see him fight made him giddy. He did his best to contain himself. Eron had gone through so much to make him as civilised as he could. The only place he could truly let loose was in the ring.

A knock rang through the door. Daniel had smelt the person behind the door and heard their approaching footsteps. He opened it to reveal Adira standing on the other side. His familiar smell of musky smell that reminded him of roasted cinnamon.

"How are you feeling about your match?" He asked.

"How are you feeling about me going first?" Daniel retorted.

"I've already waited a day for my match. I can wait a couple more seconds. Just make sure you don't lose before you face me,"

"As if! If someone should be worried about losing, it should be your old ass! I could hear your kneecaps creaking on your way here!"

Adira punched the top of Daniel's head but with no force behind it. The last time he had tried to land a proper attack on the boy it had not ended so well for him. The two made their way to the main waiting room to meet with the other contestants. Most of the other contestants that fought yesterday were not present. The only one was the spear-wielding Silver Bulwark, Sola.

"I'll see you after I win my match," Daniel said before heading out the exit.

The bearded man made his way to Sola and sat beside him.

"Hey, man," He greeted. "Sorry about yesterday. I thought you were mixed up with the wrong group,"

"It's fine," Sola replied. He turned his attention to the shrinking form of Daniel. "Even though I fought him before, I'm sceptical that kid is strong enough to participate in this,"

"I wouldn't keep that idea in my head for long if I were you," Adira said. "That Daniel kid is a total monster. Eron wouldn'tve had him join if he wasn't,"

"Eron? Like Eron Walker? You know him?"

"I work for him and Danny is his student,"

Sola raised an eyebrow in surprise. From what he heard from Ordan and the rest, Eron Walker, the one who was running the tournament this year, was one of the greatest Revel Users in Minar if not the planet. According to what they had told him, it was because of his innate Revel Art and Flow being difficult to master and insanely strong at the same time.

"That's pretty rare for two people to have the same Revel Flow, especially one as rare as Eron's," Sola commented.

"They don't have the same Revel Flow or Revel Art," Adira said. "Hell, they couldn't even be further apart from one another,"

"Then what's the point of Eron teaching him anything?"

"From what I've seen from the two, Eron just teaches him Revel Control when it comes to Revel. Outside of that, he teaches Danny how to fight in a way that suits him,"

"What Revel Art does the kid even have anyway?" Sola asked.

"I don't remember the name but it has something to do with blood,"

Daniel and his opponent made their way out of the tunnel and onto the stage. The crowd began to cheer loudly in anticipation of the coming fight. Daniel smiled widely and began to wave to the members of the crowd while his opponent made their way to their side of the ring. From the reserved box, Serena gave the dark-haired boy a strange look before turning her attention to her younger brother.

"I still cannot believe you let those two participate in the tournament," She scoffed. "Whatever happened to not taking advantage of the tournament for our own self-interest? You of all people "

"I did not want to for how it would come across but they are fighting to grant their own wishes granted, so there should be no issue with it," Eron smiled at his sister.

Among other reasons, He thought to himself. He glanced at Edgar who seemed engrossed in the ongoings on the ring.

"He means no harm by it, sister," Edgar said, his eyes still focused on the ring below. "No one should be prevented from joining the tournament, regardless of their associations, right Eron?"

"Right..." He replied.

Serena looked around at her siblings to see if anyone would come to her defence. When no one did, she scoffed once more and turned back to the match. The announcer came up to the stage now dressed in a sparkling suit. Even his silver sunglasses glistened underneath the sunlight. He took up his mic and opened his match.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome back to the Tri-Annual Minar Tournament!" He exclaimed. "It is the second day and we are here for our first match!"

"In the right corner, we have Minar's pride and joy, our very own monster, the Bloody Beast, Daniel East!"

The crowd roared as Daniel gave a bow. He pulled off his shirt, revealing his unnatural buff torso. He took a stance by leaning forward and lowering himself to the ground, his hands almost touching the ground.

"And in the left corner, we have the Questionnaire herself, Maggie!"

The woman on the left had a blonde undercut and brown eyes so dark they came across as black. She wore a cropped tank top, cargo pants and commando boots. Her lips were coloured black with what seemed to be lipstick. Maggie put a finger over her lips and smiled at Daniel.

"Let the fifth match of the tournament begin!"

"If your parents are caught in a house fire and you can only save one, who would you save?" Maggie asked. "Your mother or your father?"

"Is it not obvious?" Daniel smirked. "I would save my mother,"
