Transmigration!!!

"Argh... where am I?" Ren Ying woke up with a headache.

"Didn't I got hit by a car driven by a drunk old man?" He muttered to himself confusingly.

Right before he could figure out his situation, a pain struck him. Causing his whole body to curl together on a bed, he got the urge to scream but somehow managed to hold it in since he was used to not spreading loud noise in the middle of the night as it could disturb his neighbors sleep.

'What is this pain? fuck."

He tried to recall what had happened before last night that could cause him this much pain after waking up.

A while later, he could somehow recall a bit of what happened last night, the day of the gathering.

Yet recalling it, doesn't solve his questions but raises a new one. How was he still alive after being hit by a car?

Being hit by a car would most of the time get you killed, no matter how strong you are, especially if the car were being driven by a drunk guy. Even the worst case for this type of accident would make you crippled, so why would he still feel normal, disregarding the pain?

Looking around the room, Ren Ying was sure that it wasn't his room, nor was it the hospital, since the room that he woke up in looked ancient.

The furniture was made out of wood, and even the bed wasn't as comfortable as you're average bed on Earth. The most important thing was that he couldn't see any modern stuff here.

Where is the fan? The air conditioner? Holy, even the door security is bad!

Not long after that, memories from nowhere began to pour into his mind.

Ren Ying could only stare at those memories with his mouth wide open without doing anything else.

...

On the wooden table, stood a tea pod, a cup, and a notebook made out of low-quality wood paired with ink.

A young man, face full of vitality, expectation, excitement, and thoughtfulness as the sun light reflected onto his face, could be seen sipping his cup of tea from time to time.

Three days had passed by just like that.

During these three days, except for eating and going outside to buy some foods for his daily consumption, he didn't leave the house at all.

Because in these exact three days, memories kept flowing in without stopping at a stable rate into his mind, yet they were not causing his mind any harm, unlike what was stated in every novel that he had read.

Only on this day did memories stop flowing in, which put his mind at ease. After all, the sensation of having something flow into one's mind felt weird; it wasn't comfortable at all yet it was bearable for him if he didn't count the pain that he constantly felt during these times.

Even then, Ren Ying didn't spend his time doing nothing, as more memories kept flowing in, he spent that time sorting all the poured-in memories; allowing him to have a better understanding of this new world that he had transmigrated into.

First of all, this wasn't the same world at all; it was a completely different world compared to his previous one.

Like in a web novel, some main- characters would get reincarnated, transmigrated onto a different world, or regressed back in time to prevent all those regrets that had happened to them in the future.

In his case, it was transmigration.

The body that his soul was currently residing in had the same name as him, Ren Ying. The look could be said to be the same if it weren't for the scars caused by several occasions in the past.

As for how he died? Its quite complicated to explain them in short.

For most web novel readers like him, the first thing that he would look for was a system as his gold finger. But unfortunately, the so-called system didn't arrive, no matter how hard he tried to call out to them.

Instead, out of all the new memories that continued to flow in, he finally caught a glimpse of his gold finger, a pupil type.

This one doesn't come from the so-called system or something, but directly from the previous host of this body.

Going through the newly added memories, Ren Ying finally connected everything together and came to know the overall situation of this body.

The previous host of this body, raised by an old couple since he had yet to gain consciousness. As he grew older, his vision started to become weirder and more bizarre; he could see a really bright light reflecting from people's faces, giving him the inability to see people's face.

This caused him to often have his eyes closed in a resting state; if not, he would feel pain as both his eyes and body slowly broke down from this weird pupil that he possessed ever since his birth.

Due to this reason, he didn't have many friends, and most of his peers would refer to him as crippled, which broke his heart greatly. He would often hide and cry alone in a corner of somewhere, since he didn't want to make his 'parent' worry.

At the age of 15, he accidentally locked onto the light reflecting off the faces of his fellow villagers. At that moment, his field of vision switched instantly to an unknown place.

This startled him at first. He tried to find a way out, but unfortunately, his control at that time was still bad, so he had no choice but to keep staring.

Then something shocking happened; in his vision, he could see people jumping up in joy as they found something on their journey outside, and he assumed that it was something precious judging from the reaction people gave out.

Starting from that day onward, he would stare at people's faces without avoiding them like before, a few other times per day.

Gradually, as he kept on practicing it, his ability to control it got better, only then did he obtain the ability to open and close his weird pupils.

He realized how wrong he was. After all, he had always regarded this pupils power as a curse, but it just turned out that he was just too weak to control its power.

After that, he began to sneak out without alerting the old couple, along with the rest of his neighbors, by limiting himself to only sneaking out at night. With the help of darkness, he had never been caught, not even once.

Why would he sneak out?

Simple, he did all of that because he wanted to confirm one thing, was he hallucinating or does this ability really exist?

In the end, he got his answer. He really got his hand on this power, it wasn't a dream.

The first time for him to intercept that one unlucky guy opportunity was one of the few special memories for him. Imagine knowing what fate awaits people, and you could actually change your fate by stealing what fate had waiting for them.

Anybody would feel that they're the son of luck or something like that; after all, this pupil's ability was just simply too op, at least that was what he thought.

The result? Disaster.

One day, when going out like usual, he observed people but unlike any other time, the light only appeared on the group of hunters that always went out to hunt.

Upon glancing into it, his entire body shook subconsciously while he stared at the scene in horror.

The so-called opportunity for them was to keep their lives intact, On the day that they coincidentally went out to hunt, the bandits nearby happened to loot their entire village, slaughtering all of them, be it old people, adults, or even kids who had barely formed their consciousness, leaving a fishy smell of blood enveloping the small village.

Knowing what would happen next, he tried to inform his adopted parents.

Sadly for him, they didn't believe him and assumed that he had eaten something wrong.

He could only keep convincing them with despair, yet at the end, he could only beg the hunting group to take him along on the day that they went out to hunt for food.

After going through an entire day of hunting along with other people, the time to return finally arrived.

Everything went exactly as he had foreseen with his pupil's ability.

After returning home, instead of being greeted warmly by their families, what appeared in their eyes were the corpses being scattered everywhere without regard to their age, the houses that kept them warm during winter and away from heat when summer came, full of memories right now, were messed up.

The walls were stained with blood, giving off a fishy smell, while the furniture was broken violently.

Everybody rushed out to find their families corpse.

They hugged, cried, while muttering something to themselves, including Ren Ying. Then all of them decided to bury their bodies before setting off to another place.

Ren Ying looked back at the empty village with sadness that gradually turned into madness, he muttered, "Bandits, I will kill all of you bastards one day."

The wilderness was filled with danger, but by using his pupil's ability to observe his traveling companions, he managed to detour around them, avoiding life-risking situations.
