He stood still with a smile on his face, as his mood brightened up when the fresh air seeped into his body.
His dimmed eyes lit up slightly while relaxing his tense muscles. This cooling sensation had taken his mind from the past suffering inside the cave, back to the present.
When he gazed deep into the calm pond, an idea suddenly struck him.
'This pond look rather peaceful.'
What if he bathed in it? Would it heal his mental scars?
Having the opportunity right ahead of him, Ren Ying didn't hesitate to take off his long robe and put it aside into his space ring.
Then he took a long breath before jumping in, his entire body impacted with the water directly, splashing the pond water and wetting the nearby trees and ground.
The cold, fresh sensation spread throughout his entire body as it was submerged under the water.
The surrounding sounds became softer while the direction of where they came from was getting harder to pinpoint.
Ignoring the change in his hearing, Ren Ying dove deeper into the pond with his eyes wide open, despite the pains of having his eyes sting constantly by the water as he went deeper.
Though he couldn't see clearly inside them, it was simply enough to confirm the safety near the top of the pond.
Near the surface, he could see a few fish with different colors and types swimming alongside each other aimlessly, enchanting the peaceful and natural vibe of this pond.
On the other hand, the deepest part had no sign of anything but darkness, fish didn't even dare to swim above it, making it hard to determine what could be lurking inside.
Seeing that he couldn't gather more information, Ren Ying swam back to the surface while he took note of its mystery bottom.
It didn't take him long to reach the water barrier between the sky and the pond.
He broke through it directly, his head emerged from the pond first , followed by his upper body.
Instantly, the waters began to flow from his hair, down to the pond back, passing by his upper body as his hearing returned to normal.
Ren Ying gazed down toward his upper body slowly. After undergoing the body tempering technique for almost a month, his physique had gotten stronger.
The muscles on his upper body were now more developed than before, turning his physique into a sleek one.
His current physique didn't have a sign of any fats in it, they was made up entirely from muscle masses. Though he did get bigger, it was still farther away from reaching the same body as body builder, back on his planet.
Even if he could achieve that type of bulky physique, Ren Ying would still prefer a strong, well-built one.
Which was far out of his reach for now.
After all, it wasn't logical to build a perfectly invincible physique in just one session of training. It required a lot of time and efforts, you couldn't avoid the process even if you possessed a good talent, at most it could speed things up.
Thinking about his physique, Ren Ying let out a heavy sigh while taking a short breath as it reminded him of the agreement with Yang Chen, regarding his next training session.
But soon he shook his head back to present.
Ren Ying just wanted to enjoy and heal himself first after experiencing all of that. He would focus on other things later on after this.
Having decided his choice, he made his way to the edge of the pond, where the depths were shallower than the center depth. There, he found a smooth rock covered in mosses and sat on top of its flat surface.
He sat still and recalled how much he had suffered inside those room, practicing the Lightning Embrace.
The pains he felt every time the lightning bolts fall on him were not much different from an ordinary person.
The burning feeling, the paralysis effect of it, from the Yang Chen array called Stormfield Array made sure that Ren Ying's physique couldn't take on the Lightning intact.
He raised his hand up from the pond and pulled a wet strand of his long, smooth hair gently in front of him.
As a man, he really loves his hair.
After all, which man doesn't love their hair?
He remembered the first time he got hit hard by the lightning; his hair had turned extremely spiky, replacing his look of gentleness of a saint with fierceness of a demon. He thought his hair would remain like that for the rest of his life, but fortunately it didn't.
Every time his hair turned weird, Yang Chen would laugh at him childishly, ruining his mood even more.
For the first few time, Ren Ying almost couldn't stop himself from stabbing him with this hair but luckily he held it in.
Next, he turned to stare at his physique underneath the water, Even if all the injuries on it had been healed, Ren Ying could still faintly feel those intense pains each time he observed his body, as if the pain had been engraved deeply into his bone.
Just then, his attention got brought back to reality when he noticed a bunch of bubbles weirdly appeared on the surface next to him.
Ren Ying didn't get to observe it any closer as he felt the calmness of this pond vanishing, replaced by a turbulence, starting from the deepest depth that he hadn't checked thoroughly.
"You got quite a good patient."
He said jokingly as he stood up on the rock and leaped into the water yet again.
Ren Ying had expected a beast to be hiding in those deepest parts, as he could somehow feel a threat coming from it. Yet he didn't choose to leave immediately, why?
Because the feeling of threats emitted by it was so weak that he knew it could barely leave an injury on his current physical if they were to fight.
Besides, he didn't want to leave this chilling place yet. Such a good place was rare to come by.
If the beast chose to attack him, then Ren Ying wouldn't mind beating it and cooking it as food later on as his stomach growled loudly from time to time, plus it would be a good chance to test his current physique strength.
The moment he sank below the surface, his eyes remained open just like last time.
But this time; he saw a limbless beast flexing its body as a way of traveling toward him really fast.
As it charged at him, Ren Ying dodged to the side easily while he studied the beast.
Its length was around 4 meters long, and while its skin had a bunch of lightning symbol markings on it, it emitted out lightning everywhere it went, leaving behind its brilliant blue trace behind.
It got enraged after its attack didn't land on Ren Ying; it charged toward him again, but this time with a faster speed than before, forming a huge current.
'Tch.'
With no hesitation, Ren Ying swam down beneath its attack.
He watched as the blurry beast surged forward slightly above him. Its attack unfortunately failed to reach Ren Ying again, this time by a few centimeters.
This time, when he saw it closely, Ren Ying could finally recognize the beast.
This beast was known as the Zapper Eel. This was a beast that people rarely see as it lives at the bottom of a river.
Its capable of emitting lightning all across the water, paralyzing its prey before it used the flexibility of its body along with the advantage of being speedy in the water to devour its prey alive bit by bit.
But finding a Zapper Eel in a pond like this was unheard of.
So how could it end up in this pond?
Ren Ying could only contribute it to the fact that this pond was connected to another river in a spot hidden deeply somewhere with the cover of darkness.
Ren Ying fixed his gaze on the Zapper Eel with confidence after identifying it.
Most people would be afraid of it, but for Ren Ying?
He could only pity this unlucky beast for encountering an opponent like him that got a strong immunity to lightning, especially after he had practiced Lightning Embrace for almost an entire month straight.
Seeing the pitiful look in Ren Ying's eyes, the Zapper Eel rages were raised to yet another level.
It rushed toward him while scattering its lightning around crazily with the intention to paralyze him this time.
When he was about to crash into Ren Ying.
He didn't avoid it like last time but swam to the top of it instead, not affected by the Zapper Eel weak lightning even for a bit.
When the Zapper Eel arrived under him, Ren Ying grabbed it with his pure strength.
GRIP
After it got grabbed by Ren Ying, its whole 4-meter-long body shook and flexed violently in panic as it tried to escape from his hand.
