PREFACE:

The title of this book days as an NRI might have taken you by surprise or you intend to return to your homeland where you had your memories, friends, and relatives.

This book will be a great read for those who are excited to go abroad. For them, it will cover the foreign experience that they will go through and they can plan when to return.

Your past, present, and the stories that connect you to this place keep you inspired to think about returning to your motherland forever. This book will be a great read for those who are excited to live abroad and want to return to the homeland and get the smell of their homeland.

The intention behind writing this book is very noble and very practical. I want readers to get the true picture of a traveller who left his home for a reason, like economic, political, religious, or others, and has this thought wondering in his mind very often when and how can he/she return to their homeland.

This book is a real story of a software engineer who left home Kashmir in his twenties and returned to his forties. He brings with him a wide experience of multiple cultures, challenges, wealth, and wisdom that he wants to share in this book.

I am sure you will relate with him in many places in this book. This book will address all your fears, opportunities, challenges, realities, and political and cultural changes that have taken place in Kashmir.

This book will inspire you and make you aware of your long-lasting thoughts about returning to your motherland. It will strengthen your desire to return and will provide you with some practical steps that will make your decision process firm whether you should return to your homeland or not.

My real aim to publish this book is to share my experiences, as an NRI. The new things which I learned, the challenges I faced, during the return to my family. I also want to share the diversified culture of India. Our beliefs and the most important thing which I want to express from this book is that no other country is as rich and cultured as India. No other country is as safe and excellent as India.

This is an adventure worth taking and for sure every adventure has a risk and thrill part it. It is like climbing the tallest mountain and once you reach the apex you only know the taste and feeling of reaching the summit.

This is a story of an NRI who left his hometown during his youth. He was dedicated to his hometown, but sudden changes in his life forced him to leave his hometown. He served foreign countries for nearly a decade as a software engineer. Stumping his head between codes and different applications. Finally, after so many years, he got a letter from his distant relative about his parent's illness and they want support to look after his ancestor's property and the land which is the sweat and blood of his father and mother. This is the story of every NRI who faces a lot of challenges and adventures during his journey.
