One fine Sunday morning holding a cup of tea and watched the far above mountains from the windows of my luxurious villa in Singapore. I am reminded of my homeland, I unknowingly find myself thinking about my beautiful home. It is a perfect time to look back from where I started and also ponder over the fact why I left in the first place. It is time to study the idea of returning to Kashmir. Kashmir, the crown of India. For years people have been fighting for it. A dreamland of every Indian. Our culture starts from there and ends there.
There are many myths and fuss which surround the idea of returning home. All of them are not true; maybe all you need is to read this book to get a fair idea of what it takes to go back to your home. A home that connects you to the roots of your soul. The roots which always support and remind you of the soil were where your heart started to beat and pump blood.
Home is the place of peacefulness the love towards our mother earth, The affection towards your parents. The love and care bestowed by them, always remain in our minds, in our subconscious minds we always think of them but life situations give us a big twist and we forget about them and make ourselves forget due to running behind the money.
Everyone has time to return. Our souls and body always return to their existence. If it is a beginning there should be an end. Every living being has its beginning and its end. Our hearts and soul always have a sense of knowing when we have to return. What is the right time for us to return?
My internal sense has the desire to go back to play in the snow during winter. I have always wanted to dive into the lakes even when it is cold. Supply flowers and woolen clothes with my parents through dal lake, spreading the fragrance of love and affection throughout the state.
My desire will give me a push and the desired steps to start my journey inside my heart but, thinking of my old parents, my cousins, and relatives, makes me shake my legs and move towards them but reminds me of the duty that made me stop.
As a computer engineer, I have copied 1000s lines of code from various sources and adjusted, modified, and added my values and parameters to it, so that it functions as per my requirement and I was successful most of the time. With the same analogy, I believe each one of us who reads this book will get inspiration, examples, and lessons that we can beautifully relate to and it will save hundreds of hours taking my experience as a copied code. I am sure all of you are smart enough to modify and apply my script to develop your own and make your plan of returning home a big success
Every computer engineer away from their hometown always wants to return to their family even if he or she is working in their own country with another state. They also feel the same as they are working in the same country but it was not their hometown. Every feeling has its place but, in any profession, duty should come first because we are born to do that particular job.
My daughter came to me, I was not able to hear her footsteps because I was deeply in my thoughts. My daughter, Avantika, who is 6 years old, woke me up from my memories. I turned towards her, she was staring at me as if something bad happened, I shockingly asked her," My dear what happened, has anyone bullied you, or has mom scolded you?
She sadly sat beside my sofa and I held her and made her sit on my lap, and said, "Tell me my child what happened, don't be afraid, you can talk to me freely. She smiled at me and said, 'Dad everyone is going to their hometown during their winter vacation, I am the only girl who doesn't go to my grandmother, where is my hometown or where do I belong?
I shockingly listened to her words of innocence. I comforted her and said we will go to our hometown on this vacation, and your mom and dad belong to the country named India, and we are living in the beautiful place known as the heaven of the earth a state situated in the North part of India called Kashmir. Avantika jumped from my lap and danced in happiness and told," Oh so my hometown is Kashmir, I will tell everyone about it.'' She said, thank you to me and went away from my house to play.
